Great advice, as always from the grand master .
I am in the region of 20 – 25 share holdings most of the time. But it was a costly learning process .
My biggest ever losses were both FTSE companies . I put too much in them because I felt they were safe (er) . That was wrong , and I paid the price big time .
I think the big one is :- only risk 1% of your capital per trade ( from buy in to stop loss point ) and then you can survive to fight another day . However , I am weak and often move my stop down if I think recovery is on the cards . It rarely transpires to be so , but its hard to resist the temptation! However I get better at ressisting the temptation as the years role by .
