Totally Agree , If you have the odd spare 25 years of time ahead the Ftse 100 is fine . You might be on the next NEXT if your lucky ! and it will be a” buy and retire trade” . Might.
IF your short on available years of time , then small cap & capital growth is deffo the way to go for big gains in a short time frame.
I too lost a shed load on lloyds and a dog kennel load on RBS . Hope to get it back before I die, IF they can manage to stop shooting themselves in the foot . What are they like ………… its one fiddle and scam after another . You could not make it up ………the things they have got up to !
