I sincerely hope you’ve not had to take too much of a hit on this one…… but….
Isn’t this sector of Electric Utilities & IPPs full of pretty high risk companies with very few making any meaningful profits?
Which makes me wonder how many folk think, investing in heavily indebted companies providing electric power in India, Russia, Romania etc, might actually turn out to be a good investment, in the first place, given that even APR, one of the better run companies, can fail so miserably!
So, what’s the odds of APR making a placing/rights issue circa @ £1. 25 within the very near future? With nett debt approaching $500 million, that’s going to be an awfully lot of new shares floating around!
With the share price down nearly 60% in twelve months and no abatement in further falls…….. APR needs to start getting its act together fast, before it’s too late!
