Hello Share Plinkers. What is the most reliable way of telling if a company will keep on piling on share value and doling out ever fatter dividends? Wouldn't you like to know? Well, we all would.

Hello Malcolm
May I add to your list three additional shares which I hold, which meet your criteria, and which have performed well for me over the years: easyJet (EZJ), Next (NXT), S&U (SUS).
Best wishes

I recently found out a dear old polyglottic pal of mine has been based at Whitbread these last few years, and it prompted me to check how their share price has been doing. Stone the crows! Since he joined them it’s been climbing quite a lofty staircase. That brings me to propose another / an alternative criterion for picking stocks (though it’s not a very professional approach): pick outfits that make stuff you like! And if they bomb, it’s an added bonus if you can find solace in their merchandise (as I say, not very professional).
