Until May this year NASDAQ required companies to have at least 10% of their outstanding shares in public hands and to wait until the next annual review date before inclusion in its indices. New “fast entry” rules have now been introduced mainly to allow the SpaceX, Open AI and Anthropic IPOs, the three largest in history, to become constituents of the NASDAQ 100 index after 15 trading days and with sub 10% floats.
