Back on 14 October when Yourgene (YGEN) shares traded at 4,25p I warned that the company would almost certainly run out of cash and would need to do a fund raise, HERE
I start with a bit of political betting - folks like Lucian will be wailing as the Donald makes his come-back. I kid you not. Then how ill prepared companies are for the coming economic and stockmarket shit-storm. Two case studies I mention which are, IMHO, uninvestable are Rosslyn Data (RDT) and Yourgene (YGEN). Then onto why Argo Blockchain (ARB) and its dead cat bounce is a chance to add to one's short.
Once upon a time, Yourgene (YGEN) was a growth stock, the sort of company where shoot the lights out sales increases justified a lofty multiple which might allow for yet another fund raise. How times have changed. Today’s trading update was piss poor and, whatever bearded boss Lynn Rees might say, there must be a very high chance of a 2023 placing, as I warned three weeks ago HERE.
For various reasons, including the Mrs testing positive for COVID this morning, I look at Yourgene (YGEN) and my answers will not please long term holders.
I warned before it listed that Abingdon Health (ABDX) was essentially insolvent and that the 96p ( £92 million market cap) was bonkers and that anyone investing was insane. But, of course, institutional fund managers (playing with YOUR money) knew better and gambled £22 million. After the latest shocking news the shares are, after 19 months, just 6.75p. Ouch.
I deal with Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) first. Then it is onto Yourgene (YGEN) and its trading statement, Eurasia (EUA) and a two year farce and finally the bid for Arden (ARDN) by Ince Group (INCE) and what to make of it all. I feel uncomfortable for reasons I explain.
I start with a few words on the passing of Phil the Greek of whom I was always a great fan though I remain an ardent Republican. I am sure Phil would have approved of the title of this bearcast. I look at morons and Supply@ME Capital (SYME), Versarien (VRS), Novacyt (NCYT) and Yourgene (YGEN).
This podcast is mainly on the pot bubble looking at Cellular Goods, Kanabo (KNB), Path Investments (PATH) and the odd goings on at Voyager CBD and strange share price moves ahead of today’s placing and Zoetic (ZOE). I also look at Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Yourgene (YGEN) and naughty Manc scallywag Dan Levi. Finally a comment or two on Scancell (SCLP). The Path/Voyager screenshot is below.
I start with the Mrs being phoned by a fraudster. Then it is a natural move to Elon Musk and bitcoin before going onto the Million Morons on Reddit and a damp squib with Metro Bank (MTRO). I comment on looking daft for eons before vindication so look at Nightcap (NGHT) and then at Bahamas Petroleum (BPC). Then it is on to Abingdon Health (ABDX) and Yourgene (YGEN).
A trading update from Yourgene Health (YGEN) commences that “the stronger trading patterns being observed in H2 compared to the first 6 months of the financial year mean that double-digit revenue growth is expected for the full year” (to 31st March 2021). However, the shares are currently around 9% lower in response, at circa 12p, with the update also including “the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on ordering patterns in UK and international commerce is expected to result in full year revenue being below consensus market estimates”. Having spoken to the company, here’s the detail…
Concepta has announced a change of name to MyHealthChecked (MHC) and, more interestingly, jumped on board the Covid testing bandwagon. I am, as you know, a sceptic on many things relating to a disease where 99.95% of those under 70 recover and where the average age of death is, at 82, one year more than UK life expectancy. However…
A “Contract manufacturing agreement for COVID-19 test” announcement from Yourgene Health (YGEN) – and the shares currently more than 30% higher on the back of it, to 15.75p…
In today's bearcast I start by apologising to someone who is not a pest at all. Then I again discuss Covid 19 and have another podcast on my own website up today which has some relevance to this. I look at surging markets and am sceptical, at Yourgene (YGEN), Genedrive (GDR), FastJet (FJET) and at Versarien (VRS) which has announced a big China deal which cannot be a fraud given the involvment of top nomad SP Angel in doing due diligence and honest as they come Neill Ricketts in constructing the deal.
Yourgene Health (YGEN) has announced Elucigene DPYD has been approved for sale in Australia – and the shares have currently responded slightly higher, further towards 15p…
Yourgene Health (YGEN) has announced results for its half-year ended 30th September 2019 and that “at this interim stage we are firmly on target to deliver full year results in-line with market expectations, with consensus analyst forecasts looking for revenues of nearly £17m for the year ending 31 March 2020, a considerable jump from last year's £8.9m”…
It has been a bad tip so far but management chance at Concepta (CPT) marks a turning point. First Matthew Walls, the CEO is going. Now we have the appointments of Penelope ("Penny") McCormick as Chief Executive and Lyn Rees as a Non-Executive Director”. It is emphasised;
In today's podcast I look at Crest Nicholson (CRST), pox on AIM St James House (SJH), Cyancannode (CYAN), Yourgene (YGEN) and shocking share options, Big Sofa (BST) Goals Soccer Centres and Carpetright (CPR). Blame Brokerman Dan for this podcast being late and for me being a dirty and smelly wreck as I explain in the show.
Yourgene Health (YGEN) states it “provides a positive trading update for the six months to 30 September 2019” – and the shares have currently nudged higher towards 12p, to capitalise the company at circa £70 million…
There are two guests in this week's show, First up I discuss recent events at Bahamas Petroleum (BPC). then I discuss sexism in the City and Big Sofa (BST) with its boss Kirsty Fuller. Then it is on to Adam Reynolds where we cover Sosandar (SOS), Optibiotix (OPTI), Big Sofa (BST), Yourgene (YGEN) and Concepta (CPT). It is during this segment that the cat and the rat feature. If you like this and can't wait seven days for more of the same you should listen to my Bearcast every day.
As expected, Yourgene Health (YGEN) has launched Elucigene DPYD at the Bionow Precision Medicine Conference in Manchester…
An AGM statement from Yourgene Health (YGEN) includes that it “is delivering rapid growth in line with our expectations” and “confident of the growth strategy we have set ourselves to deliver enhanced shareholder value”…
Updating on Yourgene Health (YGEN) earlier this summer we noted Adam Reynolds buys 900,000 shares at 11p. A “Directorate Change” announcement now sees him emphasising an appointment bringing “experience in commercialisation strategy, M&A and business development within the industry majors, as well as his extensive US contact base”…
Adding to my joy it is off to the mother-in-law's for her Birthday. One lawyer's letter was on behalf of Julie Meyer. I have reported Ms Lingerie on expenses and her lawyer to the North Wales Police in response to the letter you can see here. The other was from Stifel Europe. I discuss Stifel's letter concerning Yourgene (YGEN), Stifel's dire coverage of Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) and then how Sir Douglas Flint of IP Group (IPO) - a big short - has come out to bat for Neil. Extraordinary.
In today's podcast I cover Dev Clever (DEV), Yourgene (YGEN), Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG), Grand Vision Media (GVMH), Thomas Cook (TCG) and the bastard who sent me a lawyers letter as I carried my Uncle's Coffin.
Tom writes: The bottom line is that I shall be selling the FIML shares but am giving you at least 24 hours notice. This is NOT a financial call but an ethical call, as I explain, and Steve Moore, who will cover Yourgene going forward, explains why he is not selling his shares on the results and where he sees them going...
I start with a few notes on tomorrow, logistics and the funeral of Uncle Chris Booker. Then it is onto Yourgene (YGEN), Thomas Cook (TCG), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Amur Minerals (AMC), and the dog St James House (SJH) formerly known as the Boxhill hound.
Finally the research powerhouse that is Stifel has initiated its coverage of its corporate client Yourgene (YGEN) with a detailed note which is below. A senior officer at Yourgene supplied the note to me. In the past on every occassion this has happened. On this occassion Stifel has demanded that I withdraw the note and pay it £750 or it will throw the book at me. I have taken the note down. If it wants the £750 it can ask Yourgene directly. What is the point, I wonder, of hiring a big name broker to produce research and then trying to reduce the number of folks who read that research? Whatever.
In today's podcast I look at Saga (SAGA), Dev Clever (DEV), Diversified Gas & Oil (DGOC), RM2 (RM2), Falanx (FLX), Yourgene (YGEN) and IQE (IQE).
Reynolds now owns 6.35 million shares in Yourgene (YGEN), 1.1% of the equity and though not a dominant portion of his net assets, still a material amount. So why did he buy? I chatted it through with him and his simple answer is “because the shares are cheap and I could.”
I am always happy to assist my good friends round at the FCA and start with this and Julie "Lingerie on Expenses" Meyer. I move on to Neil Woodford and Kier (KIE), then Yourgene (YGEN) and a long chat with Adam Reynolds, Bluejay Mining (JAY), Argo Blockchain (ARB) and Eqtec (EQT).
I should say that the old rogue has been most helpful in starting to bring the Welsh Hovel back to life and I relay a take from Sunday. Inn just 26 days time he and I will be on the rogue bloggers for Woodlarks trek and, at the risk of repeating myself, to the 85% of bearcast listeners yet to donate, I WANT YOUR MONEY NOW!!! I gather Dan used to use that phrase quitye a bit in a professional capacity in days gone by. Anyhow please donate HERE. In the podcast I discuss Alien Metals (UFO), TrakM8 (TRAK), Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (YGEN) and the scandal that is Ferro-Alloy Resources (FAR).
I have known for a while that Yourgene (YGEN) was to upgrade its broker from FinnCrap to Stifel. It is a big upgrade. But I was told that FinnCap would be kept on as joint broker for three months during part of which Stifel is in a research blackout period. Something happened last Wednesday and FinnCap was fired with immediate effect. I shall endeavour to establish what it was but maybe it was just that FinnCrap’s last research note was so bad that it was felt that no research for 40 days was better than another note from the same shite analyst. Perhaps FinnCap did something worse. I am digging. What you, my fellow shareholders want to know about is the placing and acquisition.
In this bearcast I look at what a dismal failure AIM has become and examine the inherent conflicts of interest which make such failure ( for investors) inevitable. I reference Management Resource Solutions (MRS), Daniel Stewart (DAN), African Potash (AFPO), Arden Partners, Paul Shackleton, Naibu (NBU), Cantor Fitzgerald, Sefton Resources (SER), SP Angel, BlueJay Mining (JAY), Vialogy, Yourgene (YGEN), Quindell (QPP), Globo (GBO) and more. If you enjoyed this how about becoming a hero and donating to rogue bloggers for Woodlarks TODAY HERE
Happy Easter weekend to you all. Ahead of more renovation work on the Welsh hovel I ponder a chat with Nigel Wray about why it is always a stockpickers market and about the real crisis facing capitalism, executive greed and abject returns. I have a few more comments about Yourgene (YGEN) where I am even more angry. And ahead of my next training walk I urge you to make an Easter donation to the Woodlarks rogue bloggers HERE
In today's podcast I look in detail at Managenent Resource Solutions (MRS), Yourgene (YGEN), First Derivatives (FDP) and hapless Neil Woodford and the crashing yield on his Equity Income Fund. How soon will that force Hargeaves Lansdown (HL.) to drop him? And I discuss my plans for weekend training walks as I urge you to become a hero as we surge through 25% of our Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks target HERE
As you know my only concern over Yourgene (YGEN), where I remain a loyal shareholder, is an ethical one. A full year trading update, though badly crafted - note to board: sack useless PR - is incredibly impressive and removes any financial doubts. The shares have not yet responded. They will. At a 12.75p offer fill your boots at up to 15p – this stock will soon be in the roaring twenties and is a STRONG BUY...
In today's podcast, my last Monday bearcast from the civilised south as opposed to the Grim North, I start with a look at another blue chip high yield stock Neil Woodford is being forced to sell as a result of the flood of redemptions. Then I have a revelation of shame about Daniel Stewart (DAN) and executive largesse. Then I look at the Yourgene (YGEN) trading statement and the lamentable research note it produced from FinnCrap (FCAP) which I reproduce in full below. Really: it is time to sack FinnCap and get a proper broker on board Finally a look at Adept4 (AD4) and an appeal to you all to join the roll call of heros HERE
In this podcast I look at the growing mini bond scandal as I flag up another ponzi waiting to collapse today HERE. Then I do a review of my own bull portfolio: Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (YGEN), Concepta (CPT), Big Sofa (BST), Wishbone (WSBN), Kefi (KEFI), Reach4Entertainment (R4E), Falanx (FLX), Fox Marble (FOX), Berkeley Energia (BKY) and Argo Blockchain (ARB). I did not mention Fox in the podcast so I'll do a seperate update later. Finally: why have you not joined the roll call of heros HERE? I say a few extra fucktards on that count.
Anyone who follows me on twitter knows my feelings about the vermin of the IRA but I have a daily chat these days with my pal the IRA man about Brexit. I discuss its effect on shares and suggest that a far bigger political threat is really not priced in. I explain why I know Yourgene (YGEN) is having a trading statement on Monday and what makes good journalism. I look in detail at Mobile Streams (MOS), insolvency law and the nature of trade receivables and at Gear4Music (G4M) and its latest warning which is enough to turn a man to drink, the shares remain a stonking sell. Finally. get your wallets out!
In its dark days as Premaitha (NIPT), this company was dogged by bully boy US giant Illumina which tried to put it out of business with a claim for patent infringement. New boss Lynn Rees not only sorted that out but as part of the deal, entered a partnership with Illumina. Now the bully boys are on our side.
It is hard to get terribly excited by the latest news from Yourgene (YGEN). Indeed is it really news? But fear not there is far more exciting material in the pipeline...
We own stacks of shares in Yourgene (YGEN). I am in no doubt that they are very cheap and will head sharply higher and soon. But I am wrestling with my conscience here and in light of it being World Down Syndrome Day yesterday I explain why. If you enjoyed this, almost, profanity free bearcast, follow a bloke from the Grim North who donated enough to buy a whole house in the welfare safari and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.
In today's bearcast I take a very detailed look at IQE (IQE) and explain why the shares are worth 40p max, potentially half of that. I also cover Blue Jay Mining (JAY), Yourgene (YGEN), Tomco (TOM), Cloudbuy (CBUY) and F40 member POS Walcom (WALG). If you enjoyed this, I think, profanity free bearcast, follow a bloke from the Grim North who donated enough to buy a whole house in the welfare safari and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.
In today's bearcast I discuss I3 Energy (I3E), Redde (REDD) and hapless Neil Woodford, Concepta (CPT), Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (YGEN), Big Sofa (BST), Mirriad (MIRI) and Mothercare (MTC). If you enjoyed this, less than PC, bearcast, follow Jim Mellon and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.
Okay he is Welsh, but there is no doubt in my mind that the new boss of Yourgene (YGEN), Lynn Rees is a class act. He recorded an interview with Proactive Investors yesterday which I viewed as very encouraging. I am expecting another very upbeat trading statement within weeks to confirm that the debt free company is now profitable and with big operational gearing and surging sales, should become very profitable really very quickly indeed. And that should driv e a material re-rate fior the shares which are now 10.75p - 11.25p, My target remains 20p and this was my Q1 nap pick and I'd expect by April the shares to be a lot closer to that target than to where they are now. Judge for yourself.
I consider what Rob Terry is doing now as I contemplate the latest threat to Watchstone Group (WTG), Quindell (QPP) as was. I look back on a few other fraud busting successes but view them as fairly irrelevant. I am more proud of my work for Woodlarks and, in that vein, again urge you to sponsor Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE. I consider DeepMatter (DMTR), Audioboom (BOOM), Centamin (CEY), Yourgene (YGEN), Big Sofa (BST), I3 Energy (I3E) and Kavango (KAV)
I cover the matter in the tiitle at the end of this podcast and also remind you that tomorrow is my first long training walk for the 33 mile Woodlarks trek in the summer where we now have EIGHT rogue bloggers signed up and where I ask each bearcast listener to think of me tomorrow and donate a tenner HERE. In the podcast I discuss my unhappiness over City behaviour at Reach4Entertainment (R4E), Yourgene (YGEN) and ref Chris Oil. I stress that I own shares in Yourgene and Reach and both are cheap notwithstanding my unhappiness. I look at Haydale (HAYD), Flybe (FLYB) and Chesterfield (CHF)
Companies often describe deals as “transformational” without any real justification. Yesterday’s deal by Yourgene (YGEN) really is a game changer and is fantastic news for we loyal shareholders.
My daughter Olaf is on half term and bored so has called twice to discuss the great issues of the day. Being an Islington leftie she reckons that ISIS supporting nutter and her son should be allowed back into the UK. I disagree. In the podcast I also look at Footasylum (FOOT) and the lardbucket loud-mouth wild card when it comes to being short retail, at Yourgene (YGEN), Falanx (FLX), African Battery Metals (ABM) and Red Rock (RRR), Victoria (VCP), Motif Bio (MTBF) and Plexus (POS). To go heckle the Sith Lord Zak Mir, drink as much free booze as you can and grill Andrew Bell next Monday book your seat HERE
In today's bearcast I look at the woes of Lucian Miers, at Yourgene (YGEN), Interserve (IRV), Greatland Gold (GGP) - do the maths its placing ahoy! - WH Ireland (WHI) and FinnCrap (FCAP). Then I explain what will be the major financial scandal of 2019 hitting well over a hundred thousand folks where the FCA is only belatedly waking up to the problem, a problem it helped to create.
With the Sith Lord Zak Mirinterviewing him, Adam Reynolds had nothing to fear. But there were questions from the audience that were far more daunting and interesting than those posed by Britain's worst chartist. If you are, like me, a holder of Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (TGEN) - my Q1 nap pick - Big Sofa (BST) - my tip of the year - or Conc epta (CPT) you will want to watch this. I have never been more bullish on the quartet. This will be our year and I know Adam feels the same. The next City forum hosted by the Sith Lord is February 25. Put the date in your diary now.
The regvular bearcast will appear later. In this podcast I cover Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (YGEN), Wishbone (WSBN), Falanx (FLX), Concepta (CPT), Big Sofa (BST), Red Rock Resources (RRR), Reach4Entertainment (R4E), Obtala (OBT), Ariana (AAU), Wandisco (WAND), Fox Marble (FOX), Argo Blockchain (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh) and Kefi (KEFI)
I start with a few thoughts on this, the birthday, of Martin Luther King. Then onto the two disasters for the £37 million smug bastard, Neil "nomates" Woodford: Netscientific (NSCI) and Provident Financial (PFG). I look at Big Sofa (BST) and Yourgene (YGEN) , my nap for Q1, then onto Victoria Carpets (VCP) and finally a detailed laook at the fraud that is Eden Research (EDEN).
Yourgene Health (YGEN) - the company formerly known as Premaitha - has announced the launch of the Sage™ 32 plex test, a new high throughput non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and analysis solution for clinical laboratories...
There is, for we long suffering shareholders, light at the end of the tunnel though a first read of results from Yourgene (YGEN) for the six months to 30 September 2018 does not exactly bring a warm feeling. But there is a new CEO, Lyn Rees, and he seems to have a clue. Of course the Illumina patent issue was only settled during this period and that should be born in mind. To the numbers…
Gabriel's dossier should appear here 2.15 PM London time. It is explosive. In today's podcast I discuss Telit (TCM) and shamed FinnCrap, Halosource (HAL) and hapless Neil Woodford, Audioboom (BOOM) and a backfiring spoof, Tomco (TCM), Yourgene (YGEN) and the weather here in Greece as the olive harvest draws to a close.
