Some bien pensants like Neil Woodford and top share blogger, Paul Scott, insisted that Purplebricks (PURP) was a long-term disruptor in the Estate Agencies world. The reality? It was a piss-poor way to sell houses, and could only survive in a fizzingly hot housing market. Well, guess what?
I start with good news concerning my mother-in-law, which suggests my current living - where folks pay £5.99 a month to hurl abuse at me - is maybe not such a desirable career. Then onto Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI), and what I have told 'arry Bloody Adams should happen next, in light of his latest e-mail to me. Then onto Vast Resources (VAST) and Eden Research (EDEN), not Pharma as I misspoke in the podcast. Finally, Gear4Music (G4M), which is enough to turn fanboys Paul Scott and Malcolm Stacey to drink. Vindicated yet again as a bear, I warn of worse to come, following today's bullshit-heavy trading statement.
The new CEO of IQE (IQE) – the chipmaker who seduced both Malcolm Stacey and thirsty Paul Scott – starts his reign where the old one left off, as dismal calendar 2021 results post today. Will this company ever generate cash?
I was up well before the crack of dawn to take my pre-flight test and I passed, I discuss that, move onto MyHealthchecked (MHC), Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT), Tungsten (TUNG), ADM Energy (ADME) and finally Purplebricks (PURP), another fallen former fave of top blogger Paul Scott. It’s latest news really would turn aman to drink. But there is worse still to come.
Just how many profits, or rather lack of profits, warnings has IQE (IQE) issued during the 21 years since its 2000 IPO at c400p. The shares are today 40p after the Pride of the Welsh tech sector added another warning to its, already extensive, collection. I hope that folks have listened to my warnings over many years that this is a dog with fleas, or ci gyda chwain as we say here in the post-industrial, rain sodden, second world province.
When I read Purplebricks (PURP) CEO Vic Darvey prattling on about a solid platform to achieve longer term targets my mind immediately switches to thoughts of Cheryl Cole. I feel that I too offer an increasingly solid platform (boom boom) and I have my targets too. Whatever … today Vic served up a ghastly profits warning and shares in Purplebricks (PURP) are in freefall. You cannot say that this site has not warned you all often enough. So what’s the story morning glory?
What follows is a tale of greed and reward for failure. Look at the hard facts and you will, unless you dwell in the 1% sewer of greed, conclude that Sosandar’s (SOS) joint CEOs Ali Hall and Julie Lavington are now poster girls for fat cattery, for greed and are the unacceptable face of capitalism.
It seems that Britain’s thirstiest share blogger Paul Scott has had another go at me with a post at 25 minutes after midnight. I trust Paul had enjoyed a good night. Anyhow, I put him straight with a few facts. I then look at Argo Blockchain (ARB) and its trading statement and valuation, Plutus Powergen (PPG), Tern (TERN), Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and Cineworld (CINE).
I end with a few notes on Woodlarks. There are now 7 walkers confirmed – please do make a donation HERE. Then I discuss 2 acid tests today for the FCA: Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and Lyin’ Chris Cleverly’s planned RTO into Stranger Holdings (STHP). Then I look at St James House (SJH) and wonder if the taxman needs to have a butcher’s at 4 of its disposals involving John Botros. Then it is onto IQE (IQE) and why Malcolm Stacey and thirsty Paul Scott are wrong. Finally a look at Jubilee Metals (JLP). I look at the fundamentals after today’s interims and conclude that the shares should be well North of 20p. Then I discuss the matter with the world’s leading analyst of PGM stocks beginning with J for his input.
I will not make that joke about Paul, Lent starts tomorrow and my minimal alcohol intake will be going to zero until Easter. I may have a couple of glasses tonight to brace myself for a period of thirst that lies ahead. In this podcast I discuss Paul’s comments on Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and why I think the FCA may not allow this fraud to relist. I look at Zoetic (ZOE) where I am hopeful of an imminent share suspension, and the pot and small cap bubble in general, also looking at today’s pot float, Kanabo (KNB).
I start with the weather. Guess what it is like in Wales today. I end with Joe Biden, what I shall NOT be watching tonight, what I fear from the next four years and why. In between, I look at IQE (IQE), Bidstack (BIDS), Xtract Resources (XTR), Eurasia Mining (EUA) and Greatland Gold (GGP). But it is mainly IQE.
Jeepers he must have been sober to have fallen in love with this shite. In today's podcast I look at Versarien (VRS), TrakM8 (TRAK), ADM Energy (ADME), San Leon Energy (SLE) and Catenae (CTEA). Now go and have a butchers at MineProphets and book your ticket (just £2.99) now HERE.
No I am not referring to Ed's stock picking system concluding that the Quindell (QPP) fraud was one of the 10 cheapest shares on AIM. Nor am I referring to it rating the fraud Globo (GBO) as a 92/100 BUY. Or to thirsty Paul Scott using the Stockopedia system to serve up classic buys like IQE (IQE) and TrakM8 (TRAK) This gem from the Stockopedia stock picking system is an even worse call and in fact possibly the worst stock call in history.
I start with my excitement about the video I have just recorded with Carson Block of Muddy Waters for the Shareprophets shares show. Lawyers alert!. It was brilliant stuff. I end by saying I recorded a PLC video for the show earlier. I am incredibly tempted to buy the shares heavily. Anyhow both videos and 70 others will go live on May 9 so book your ticket HERE. In today's podcast I look at Novacyt (NCYT), Avacta (AVCT) fake news in the Mail on Sunday, Urban Exposure (UEX) and in very real detail that old Thirsty Paul Scott fave TrakM8 (TRAK) where today's numbers ring massive alarm bells.
Anyone buying shares in Big Dish (DISH) is off their rocker at two levels, notwithstanding the appointment of my good friend, the Sith Lord Zak Mir as the company’s PR man. Firstly, as I discussed here, is the fact that it is prepared to tell manifest industrial scale lies to investors. Secondly…
I blocked Britain’s thirstiest share blogger eons ago after becoming fed up of his late night rantings. But it has now been brought to my attention that his twitter account is now suspended, as can be seen below. Anyone know why?...
The Sheriff of AIM is surely entitled to a celebratory breakfast ouzo at his hovel in North Wales? On Wednesday I flagged up a profits warning from the Krauts at Siltronic and suggested that IQE (IQE) was likely to follow. Less than 48 hours later the Cardiff dog duly barks. As a long term bear I have repeatedly warned silly sell side analysts, Thirsty Paul Scott and others that this company is a crock…once again I stand vindicated. And so to detail….it is grim.
It's the second bank holiday this month, and that gives us a little time to reflect back on the most-read stories of this past year. Who would have guessed THIS would be #1?
From kidnapping the neighbours cat to locating Woodford's buried bodies, Tom's Bearcasts are easily the most popular items on the ShareProphets site. Here are the 20 the ShareProphets readers listened-and-relistened to.
I start with good news on the Woodlarks front and kind words about the UK's top share blogger Paul Scott who I must remember not to be nasty to for a few weeks at least. If Paul can be a nice guy so can you too HERE. Then I look at Versarien (VRS) in light of today's expose HERE, Management Resource Solutions (MRS) caught with its pants down HERE, Concepta (CPT), Inspirit (INSP), Chesterfield (CHF) and Bould (BOU).
Just to make this one a bit harder, to win this contest you need to name all six of the fine upstanding citizens below and then tell me which is the odd one out and why ( and its nothing to do with gender). The first to give me seven correct answers in the comments section below wins a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger ( mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott. The deadline for en tries is midnight tonight, Wednesday 10 April.
It appears that after racking up losses of £3 million last year the sex toys and lingerie chain Ann Summers is on the brink. In the good old days the woman below used to put sex toys and vibrators on expenses at Ariadne Capital. But it is now in administration and Julie Meyer is in Switzerland. This may partial;ly explain the woes of Ann Summers and as such we ask you to post suitable captions in the comments section below. The wittiest/most filthy will win a semi naked photo of the UK's top share blogger, thirsty Paul Scott. The deadline is midnight tonight. Do your worst.
In covering this subject, my prime concern is not to hurt the feelings of Britain’s top share blogger, thirsty Paul Scott, who filled his boots at the 17p IPO. Mr Scott repeatedly argued, normally via 3AM thirsty tweet rants, that my tipping the shares was holding them back and so when I advised readers to bank 100% gains at 34p (and did so myself as well) he argued this was awful advice but thought it good for the share price which he saw at 65p+. The stock is off another 5% today at 22p to sell so should we be thinking of horrifying thirsty Paul and buying back in?
I start with a question for wretched PM Theresa May - which of your assessment's of Jeremy Corbyn was correct? I then look at the strange events at Brave Bison (BBSN), take aprt Audioboom's (BOOM) joke trading statement, look at Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG), Management Resource Solutions (MRS) and, finally, thirsty Paul Scott favourite TrakM8 (TRAK). Now how about you all follow the good Craig and donate a "one-er" HERE
In light of the contrast between the January 25 Lyin' Steve Sanderson video (dont worry about dilution, fully funded, blah, blah, blah) and today's UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) discounted placing we invite captions of the picture below: 3 vessels full of hot air, aka a tankers and two er oil executives. Post in the comments section below with a deadline of midnight tonight. The rudest/funniest entry will receive a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), thirsty Paul Scott.
Do your worst in the comments section below. The deadline for entries is midnight tonight, unless we decide to ignore the wishes of 52% of you and extend it. The prize, as ever, is a semi naked photo of The UK's top share blogger, mornings only, Thirsty Paul Scott.
In December 2018 Ted Baker (TED) brought in lawyers Herbert Smith Freehills to investigate allegations that its founder and CEO Ray Kelvin had groped members of staff. That enquiry is ongoing but will now focus on Ted Baker's internal controls. Kelvin insists he is innocent but has now quit with immediate effect. In light of that, we bring you two images from Baker's last annual report (which showed Kelvin trousering £1.6 million) and ask you to supply suitable captions on the comments section below by midnight tonight. As ever, the winner will receive a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott.
If it is a week when Chris Oil is again in the news, there is very little I can add. So I present this amazing animated chart showing the change in global brands since 2000. It's wild.
These days Optibiotix (OPTI) is on the cusp of being or already profitable and as such what excites us are rapidly growing revenues and new sales and marketing agreements. We will not have to wait long at all for more news on both those fronts. But behind this great company is the IP, the science.
You cannot say that this site has not warned you repeatedly. But some folks like Neil Woodford knew better. Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott, was also a fan and we know how accurate his analysis is. I don't know about Scott but Woodford has been averaging down aggressively. Neil always knows better which is why he is worth £37 million a year. Today we have another high profile horror story for Britain’s most conceited fund manager & yet another shocker for the nation's thirstiest share blogger, with a truly shocking lack of profits warning. I shall explain below why this makes the target price 0p....it is enough to turn a man to drink.
Companies often describe deals as “transformational” without any real justification. Yesterday’s deal by Yourgene (YGEN) really is a game changer and is fantastic news for we loyal shareholders.
I was looking at our web stats and noticed that not a lot of people use ShareProphets' archive, at least compared to the new articles. So I'd like to highlight it.
Thirsty Paul Scott was so flamed by some of his readers for his hatchet job on Optibiotix (OPTI) , littered, as it was, with false statements that he announced he would not be penning a column on Friday as he was, alongside thousands of school kids worried about global warming, going on strike. The difference between those withdrawing their labour on Friday is that the kids will, one day, grow up and most of the teenagers already produce work that is far less error strewn than that of the Thirsty one.
Thirsty Paul Scott and his boss Ed Croft at Stockopaedophile do not like me. Maybe that explains Paul's very sad attack on Optibiotix (OPTI) yesterday which was strewn with factual errors and poor analysis. Or maybe Paul was just pissed after pouring too much vodka on his cornflakes that day. I go through his article pointing out the string of errors. Clearly Paul is not a well man and we should pray for him. Elsewhere I look at Sabien (SNT), its knob head boss, dodgy share dealing, the cash crisis and why it is fecked. I cover Cabot (CAB), Wandisco (WAND) and then take a look at Motif Bio (MTFB) - a share tip from Malcolm Stacey where, I have told him, you all deserve an update - and a related party Amphion (AMP), which looks pretty fecked too.
Yesterday, in the wake of more damning revelations about the Frontera Resources (FRR) fraud we brought you an exclusive picture of its best paid promoter, the whore blogger Malcolm Graham Wood helping the fuzz with their enquiries as you can see below. We asked you for suitable captions and, as you can see HERE, there were numerous good entries. But there can be only one winner of a semi naked photo of Britain’s top share blogger (mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott….
After today's cache of bombshell emails exposing the fraud at Frontera (FRR) folks will have even more questions for the whore blogger Malcollm Graham Wood who ramped the shares shamelessly in return for, undeclared, payments from Frontera. In light of this I have unearthed this pic of the Fat Bastard with his back to the camera helping the Police with their enquiries. Please supply suitable captions in the comments section below with a deadline of midnight tonight.
Suffice to say you would not want your average Frontera (FRR) shareholder on your pub quiz team would you? There were numerous fantastic nominations for this contest as you can see HERE but Bwakem and Soupchicken will have to fight it out for the prize, a semi naked photo of Britain’s top share blogger (mornings only) Thirsty Paul Scott as they both spotted the gem below.
The AIM demise of the fraud Frontera (FRR) has unleashed a barrage of Bulletin Board idiocy not seen for years. It seems that the idiot from every village in the land was invested here and the comments on the Asylums at the LSE, ADVFN and iii as well as on twitter restore ones faith in the sheer stupidity of your fellow man. To win a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger before lunchtimes, Thirsty Paul Scott, simply post your examples of supreme idiocy ( not necessarily on Frontera) in the comments section below. The deadline is midnight on Saturday 2nd Fenruary. I start off with my nomination. Can anyone beat this gem from tune player on the ADVFN Asylum.
I know that Thirsty Paul Scott was a major bull of Staffline (STAF) and a shareholder. Today's shocking news of allegations of accounting irregularities made by the company's own auditor PWC and a share suspension is enough to turn any man to drink. In this podcast I give background and explain what I think the outcome will be. It is bad but not, I suspect, a Patisserie Holdings (CAKE) but it might get very nasty.
Now that it is double official that Woodford Investment Management did not file its annual report on time we should award a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only) thirsty Paul Scott as we pick out a winner of The Neil Woodford late filing caption contest. As you can see here there were a good few entries but the best caption for the picture below came from:
The FCA must be all over him on this matter as Neil Woodford is now 4 days late with the Woodford Investment management annual report. What is he hiding? As we wait for Britain's most conceited fund manager to come clean and file, I invite you to provide a suitable capition for the image underneath in the comments section below. As ever the prioze for the wittiest entry is a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), thirsty Paul Scott. The deadline to enter is midnight Saturday, January 5.
Oh dear. Oh dear. For those beguiled by the shoddy analysis of thirsty Paul Scott into buying shares in IQE (IQE), things are set to go from bad to worse. Much worse. Last night Apple issued a first quarter sales warning.
Shares in UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) have actually rallied to 1.35p to sell in recent days. Natch they remain grotesquely overvalued as the clock starts to tick on the countdown to yet an other placing. But still there are those who reckon that on £650k per annum Lyin’ Steve Sanderson is good value as CEO. Whatever. On Tuesday I asked for suitable captions for the photo below and there were many decent entries as you can see HERE. But there can be only one winner…NO!
Of course the stock is still hugely overvalued. But as they have plunged from 2p in just a few weeks, for some reason, Big Dave Lenigas has stopped pumping out twenty tweets a day about how cheap the shares are. Meanwhile the Bulletin Board Morons who lined up to abuse and smear myself and folks like Waseem Shakoor, who warned them, have been lining up to apologise. Not! And thus we have another pic of UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) boss Lyin’ Steve Sanderson in action destroying shareholder value for you to consider ….
There were numerous entries to this caption contest as you can see HERE although once again our in-house BB loon Wildes got overly excited looking at pictures of the crazy cat lady Carole Cadwalladr and thus served up a number of utterly non relevant observations. There can only be one winner of the semi naked photo of Britain’s top share blogger (mornings only), thirsty Paul Scott and it is…not Wildes. Instead the victorious caption for the photo below is:
After its IPO I asked you all for suitable captions of the photo below. As you can see HERE there were many en tries but there can be only one winner of the sem i naked photo of the UK's top share blogger (mornings only), thirsty Paul Scott. If you feel aggrieved by the winner, fear not, we will have another contest featuring Sam when FinnCrap (FCAP) has its first profits warning. So you will not have to wait too long. Anyhow the winner is...
For some reason the old boy has not been banging on about the Santa stockmarket Rally quite as much this year as usual. In that vein, for the chance to win a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only) thirsty Paul Scott, please supply suitable captions for the picture below in the comments section. The deadline for entries is midnight Sunday... do your worst.
A few days ago, I asked you all to come up with suitable captions for a picture of Britain's most conceited fund manager in action, destroying value. as you can see here. There were many half decent entries and also a couple from Wildes who has obviously been drooling over pictures of crazy cat woman Carole Cadwalladr again and thus returned to his favourite subject. However the winner of the semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott is...
The picture below is of Sam Smith the CEO of FinnCrap (FCAP) celebrating the IPO of her company on AIM at the offices of the London Stock Exchange. I ask you for suitable captions in the comments section below with the prize for the wittiest and rudest being a semi naked picture of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only), Thirsty Paul Scott. For what it is worth I set an early low bar with my suggestion...
After recent disasters such as Kier (KIE) and faced with wall to wall redemptions, funds managed by Neil “nomates” Woodford are clearly utterly desperate for cash. Today another sign of just how big is that crisis emerged. It’s a shocker.
Following a week of intense share price weakness, Audioboom (BOOM) has served up, what looks like, a panicked trading statement. It is long on blather but fails to mention the one thing that really matters: the looming cash crisis. This company could be out of money and insolvent by Christmas, indeed sooner, but free speech denying, family on the payroll poltroon of a CEO Rob Proctor fails to address that elephant in the room. I suppose that there is some good news.
TrakM8 (TRAK) served up dismal interims late last week but as I warned then, things could get an awful lot worse. It all depends on how much the bankers at HSBC and panicking and what they are doing about it. TrakM8 needs to fess up to investors and make a statement.
I can't say what but it is a game changer. I do however discuss the Brexit omnishambles. I then look at why thirsty Paul Scott got TrakM8 (TRAK) and IQE (IQE)) so badly wrong as the former utterly unravels today. Is it down to the flaw at the heart of the Stockopedia system which seems to have entered Paul's thinking. I look at the lessons for us all from this debacle. I also cover today's news from Adept4 (AD4)
For a while it was going so well for TrakM8 (TRAK). Put out RNS’s saying you had cash when you had debt, record ramptastic interviews with thirsty Paul Scott and get him ramping hard, make really dodgy acquisitions that made no sense, generate no cash and watch the shares go ever higher. Then the Sheriff of AIM started to look underneath the hood and kick the tyres. The shares were 360p back then. They are opening today at just 23p to sell after a truly diabolical set of results and a (lack of) profits warning. If you were at the heart of the rampfest, it would be enough to turn a man to drink.
Presented by myself, in October 2017, with slam dunk evidence that AIM Casino listed fraud MySquar (MYSQ) had committed wholesale fraud, the boss of AIM Regulation Marcus Stuttard did nothing. So MySquar was able to raise millions more pounds on the casino and private investors have lost everything. Still Stuttard thinks he is doing a good job. We captured the moment Marcus received the MySquar report in the picture below and as you can see HERE, you supplied many suitable captions. But there can only be one winner, Kayeserasera received a signed semi-naked photo of top share blogger Thirsty Paul Scott for the entry below:
Happy Hop-tu-naa to any listeners in the Isle of Man, and happy Halloweebn to the rest of you. I start the podcast with a handy tip on dealing with the Trick or Treat menace. This afternoon I head off with Joshua to deal with the bastards at Barclays (see yesterday's bearcast) and I will report back on that tomorrow. I look at Crawshaw (CRAW), I3 Energy (I3E) doing a Cathy Newman, at Photonstar Led (PSL)) which is toast, Online Blockchain (OBC), at FastJet (FJET), lessons for Neil Woodford from GYG (GYG) and elsewhere and why Thirsty Paul Scott and others should keep December 3 free.
In today's podcast I start with a brief but of macro babble then look at RM2 (RM2) specifiocally but also at the wider Neil Woodford stable* of dogs. Then I discuss whether I'd buy into Patisserie Holdings (CAKE) at 50p. It is certainly not the same as Conviviality (CVR) which Thirsty Paul Scott bet heavily on the day before it went bust. There are similarities but 1 big difference.
Yesterday I asked you for suitable captions for this picture of Big Dave Lenigas and Lyin' Steve Sanderson of UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) standing next to a tanker at Horse Hill. There were several splendid suggestions as you can see HERE and Mr Contrarian certainly wins a commendation for his cracking caption. But the winner of the semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger before lunchtime, Thirsty Paul Scott is Jules2k6 with:
Tear yourself away from looking at how much your portfolio is down and cheer yourself up by providing a caption for the photo David Lenigas is tweeting out today of him standing at Horse Hill with UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) boss Lyin' Steve Sanderson. Post your entries in the comments section below with a deadline of midnight tonight. The wittiest entry wins the usual prize: a semi naked photo of the UK's top share blogger, before lunchtimes, "Thirsty" Paul Scott.
Broker Shore Cap insisted that shares in Sosandar (SOS) were worth 50p. Thirsty Paul Scott gushed about how they were potentially worth far more and after such massive pumping the stock hit the mid forties at which point it was valued at around thirty times historic sales. Insanity. And then the shares started sliding, falling from 44p at the start of this month to 36p yesterday. That must have been enough to turn anyone to drink. Whatever could have been happening… oh yes…
Oh dear, oh dear. At what point will those who have backed this crock of shit decide that it is not worth chucking any more cash down this black hole. I know that free speech denying boss Rob Proctor and his relatives on the payroll need jobs but but this company is just a disaster zone. As he wakes up for a meeting with Karma today, Proctor tries to polish the turd but today’s lack of profits/almost out of cash warning is his worst yet. And that takes some doing given his track record of abject operational failure and of consistent value destruction
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again, Juicin Drumroll failed to win last week but he came second and tried very hard as you can see HERE. So he is clearly desperate to win a semi naked photo of Britain's leading share blogger before lunchtime, Thirsty Paul Scott. So we will give him a sixth and final chance. Can anyone stop Juicin from winning this week? Okay here is the challenge for you all:
Juicin Drumroll demanded we bring back the Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest and last week he again tried to win in a most valiant way with a superb nomination of a UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) moron from the ADVFN asylum as you can see HERE. But I am afraid he was pipped to the post by Warun Boofit who has found some gems care of two Frontera (FRR) owning poltroons. The winning double header is below:
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again, Juicin Drumroll failed to win last week but he came second and tried very hard as you can see HERE. So he is clearly desperate to win a semi naked photo of Britain's leading share blogger before lunchtime, Thirsty Paul Scott. So we will give him a fifth and final chance. Can anyone stop Juicin from winning this week? Okay here is the challenge for you all:
AIM-listed online ladies clothing purveyor Sosandar (SOS) had its AGM today and offered a few nuggets of information which suggest that things are pretty much on track with management expectations. Since we already know that management is “very comfortable” with the forecast numbers offered by house broker Shore Capital (I would translate that as meaning easy to beat!) and we know those numbers (see HERE). So that looks pretty positive. Mind you, we were not offered actual numbers for summer trading as the Adam Reynolds computer keyboard struck again!
Five weeks in and the man who demanded we bring this contest back, Juicin Drumroll, is the runner up in this week’s contest but the photo of a semi I naked Thirsty Paul Scott goes instead to Putneywill – but there were numerous cracking entries, mainly posts by shareholders in UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) who – as you can see HERE – really are true morons.
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again, Juicin Drumroll failed to win last week and so for the fourth time the semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger before lunchtime, thirsty Paul Scott, went elsewhere. Come on Juicin this contest is for you please try harder....if you don't win this week we are dropping it.
My long term bearishness about TrakM8 (TRAK) a company that issues misleading RNS’s, makes ludicrous acquisitions as it racks up its debts and never translates profits (a matter of opinion) into cash (a matter of fact, unless you are an AIM China fraud) is well documented here. Of course, Thirsty Paul Scott had cosy chats with the management and knew better than a "nutcase of the first order". Today the shares have tanked to a new multi year low after another dire statement.
We only brought back the Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest in response to repeated demands from Juicin Drumroll but he is not playing fair. He said there was so much to nominate but he is not in the game. Instead – as you can see HERE – Drunken Sailor again dominated the contest and has now won his third semi naked photo of Thirsty Paul Scott with the entry below. Come on Juicin we are going to give you one last chance…
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again, Juicin Drumroll failed to win last week and so for the third time the semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger before lunchtime, thirsty Paul Scott, went elsewhere. Come on Juicin this contest is for you please try harder....
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again Juicin Drumroll fails to win with his nomination. Come on Juicin, we are doing this for you, please try harder. This week's winner of a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger, before lunchtime, Thirsty Paul Scott, is Daniel Victor. You can see all the entries HERE but Daniel's winning entry, from twitter, is from a Tesla loon:
Having demanded we bring back this contest, once again Juicin was beaten by Drunken Sailor in last week's contest as you can see HERE. Drunken now wins a second semi naked photo of Thirsty Paul Scott as his prize. Okay, for one more week I urge you all to post your entries to stop Drunken making it a hat-trick.
In today's podcast I look at the worthless crap that is Andalas (ADL), the trainwreck in waiting - placing ahoy - that is Frontera (FRR) and finally, in detail, at slam dunk sell red flag infested IQE (IQE).
AIM-listed online ladies fashion wear start-up Sosandar (SOS) has seen its shares race even further ahead, as I predicted last week. At the weekend, with the shares a noggin below the 40p mark, I said it would be time to sell another tranche into what I expected would be a bit of a rally into the AGM when I would imagine a trading statement will be forthcoming. Today (thus far) the shares have clocked up yet another record high of 45.5p in the middle and I helped myself, selling a lump at 42.44p. But I am still holding over a third of my original holding.
My piece on AIM-listed Sosandar (SOS) Friday seems to have sparked a bit of interest. Noting that the shares had closed at an all-time high and with the date of the AGM just announced (and presumably another trading update), I reckoned it was a strong hold with a view to selling a portion at 40p. The shares duly put on another 10%, causing a smile at Deputy Sheriff Towers, but Tom Winnifrith sold all his Sosandar shares. Meanwhile Thirsty Paul Scott thinks it is a “hold forever” stock. Who is right?
Nigel and Thirsty Paul Scott may think I am nutso but I explain the specific threats to the Sosander (SOS) share price that caused me to bank spectacular gains - one threat is an overall market crash, I discuss how likely that is and what you should do before and after
Juicin Drumroll demanded we bring back the contest but after two weeks we haveb the same winner both times. drunken Sailor has now won two prizes of a semi naked photo of Britian's thirstiest share blogger, Paul Scott. Come on Juicin, this contest is all about you getting a chance to win, time to up your game, man. You can see all the entries HERE but the winner from DS is, I think, from the ADVFN UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) Asylum:
At the risk of upsetting retail-guru Thirsty Paul Scott who thinks it is bad for the share price if any expert other than he pontificates, I thought it was time to mention once again my hot tip of AIM-listed Sosandar (SOS) from the UK Investor Show earlier this year. Having offered favourable mention at 12.5p I tipped it at 13p, cashed in a slice at 27p and the shares closed last night at about 35p. It is all good news!
In our relaunched Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest, there were some fine examples of moronic activity by investors in Tern, UK Oil & Gas, Cloudtag, Whetstone and other great British Companies nominated by ShareProphets readers as you can see HERE. But there has to be a winner.
I have had a business lunch, a rare event for me down in the boonies and as such I assess my sobriety. In this podcast I discuss Union Jack (UJO) and the new business-hating climate in Britain, Optibiotix (OPTI), Countrywide (CWD), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), RM2 (RM2) and base rates on both sides of the pond. Oh and en passant Julie "Lingerie on Expenses" Meyer.
Globo (GBO) was a fraud which claimed to have cash but did not and is now bust. Its downfall was precipitated by ShareProphets publishing a Gabriel Grego dossier after the FT and snot-gobbler Dan McCrum merely tipped off the CEO allowing him to dump all his shares and failed to publish. Now the Financial Reporting Council says that it is letting auditor Grant Thornton off the hook and dropping its enquiry.
Some of you are reading this in fantastic parts of the world. Places on the edge of blue waters or beneath the caopies of rainforests. Cosied up in rooms with constant ambient temperatures.
This was recorded the night before the great Horse Hill to Woodlarks walk and is a great podcast covering Dave Lenigas, Paul Scott, a raft of jokes, short tips, long tips and so much more. If you have not yet donated to our walk, if you enjoyed this please get your wallet out and give some cash NOW HERE.
Brokerman Dan has been replaced as the maps man on our Woodlarks Charity walk on Saturday. Perhaps we now know why in his former career he did not always get away. For it turns out that the walk is not 32 miles but 33. Lucian has mapped it out in full. Cripes. We now need just over £2,000 to reach our £20,000 target so if you hav e not yet sponsored me please do so HERE. Get us to target & I will shut up about it. In the podcast I look at IQE (IQE), Rangers FC and another date in court for Dave King, Thirsty Paul Scott not understanding what research means & wanting me not to cover Sosandar (SOS), Cenkos (CNKS), ADVFN (AFN) and Online Blockchain (OBC), Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) and Fishing Republic (FISH) which, I think, is AIM toast in waiting
Thirsty Paul Scott is meant to be on a sabbatical but has taken time out to post his thoughts on Sosandar (SOS) on a Bulletin Board. While HotStockRockets suggested banking some gains or top slicing on Friday at 34.4p, Paul agrees with Nigel Somerville and reckons the shares are going a lot higher. Whatever one thinks of Thirsty, he knows the retail sector well and opines:
I started to soften my view on Sosandar (SOS) back in April having seen the founders at the UK Investor Show but thought I would formally update my position on this following yesterday’s results, as my name and “view” gets bandied around in connection with it. In summary, I am no longer a bear.
Shares in Trakm8 (TRAK) ended yesterday c12% higher, back above 100p, on the back of a “International Contract Award” RNS. Ooooh, “international” hey – ramptastic or what’s the detail?
Okay despite all the harsh ( but arguably fair) things I have said about him, thirsty Paul Scott has just donated £50 to the Woodlarks sponsored walk charity appeal so I am going to be nice about him for a while unless he has a twitter meltdown. Chaka Khan. Chaka Khan. Cheeese. Anyhow surely you can follow Paul, watch this video HERE to see the great works Woodlarks does then donate a few quid HERE. In the podcast I take MySquar (MYSQ) apart, John Meyer at SP Angel needs to wake up, listen and get off his arse. I also look at Frontera (FRR) - bailout placing at 0.3p? - IDOX (IDOX) and Herencia (GER)
I record with Argentina and Iceland in the background on mute. Hell's teeth who on earth could support the fecking Argies? I explain the sheer torture Brokerman Dan Levi has in store for me in six weeks time and give him a reason to add to that. Andalas (ADL) is utterly worthless crap and his commentary on Friday and the statement that resulted utterly stinks. Anyhow consider how he will torture me as we walk 32 miles, feel sympathy and SPONSOR ME HERE. Then I look at Paul Scott winning an award for PR and at events at Theranos and Tesla.
For its 2013 financial year, the fraud Quindell (QPP) switched its auditors from RSM Tenon – already fined by the Financial Reporting Council as a direct result of my work – to KPMG. But unusually for a firm claiming to be so large it chose the small Southampton office headed up by Senior partner William Smith to check its books.
Pinsent Masons was at the heart of the dirty tricks campaign Sefton Resources (SER) waged against myself and Brokerman Dan Levi as we exposed wholesale lying and fraud. Pinsents was thrashed in Court when Sefton sued us for libel. Scumbag low life motherfucker Pinsents partner Russell Booker was never disciplined so I guess it thinks dirty tricks against journalists are okay. Daniel Stewart (DAN) also sent me lawyers letters but never accepted my kind offer to "see you in Court bitchez", Anyhow the two are being sued for £180 million for their negligence over the Naibu (NBU) fraud I exposed HERE. I discuss that but also why Paul Scott should apologise to 6,000 House of Fraser staff losing their jobs in this bonus podcast.
Scott had failed to show up for his main stage session with Nigel Wray after drinking too much the night before but rolled up for a noon bearcast. Enjoy.
Big Dave Lenigas pulls the strings here but he was in the land of High Culture on business matters on April 21. So Rob Scott stood in and presented on behalf of Anglo African (AAAP) where I am, for reasons I cannot really remember, a long suffering, if small, shareholder. Over to a man called Scott who is not a drunk and who appeared on time to present coherently. Clearly he's not related to Paul.
No one seemed to disagree that Ali and Julie came across incredibly well at the show. Sosandar (SOS) is a stock that I own as does Nigel Wray and so does Paul Scott who, in his sober moments, is a good retail analyst. Anyhow see what you think. I reckon the shares are a great buy at 15.5p.
Oh well I had not had a take down lawyers letter for at least a few weeks so welcome back to England Mr Winnifrith. The deadline for voting is midnight Wednesday as I shall be responding on Thursday. So who do you think wants to gag the Sheriff of AIM? Vote now:
Paul Scott had too much to drink the night before and thus failed to appear for this mid morning session on value investing at UK Investor Show. At one minute's notice I stepped into his shoes with Paul promising the organisers that he would arrive within ten minutes. He did not turn up at all. Though I over-ran by about five minutes as I adjusted & winged it using as a basis a pretty piss poor agenda Paul had set the session still worked very well I thought, a testimony to the expertise of Nigel Wray and Paul Jourdan of Amati.
When Paul Scott starts his morning newsletter with references to Chaka Khan you kind of fear that he is drunk in charge of a keyboard. He ended his long & less interesting than usual missive yesterday, which was largely a cut & paste, with the phrase "Let's have less Tom Winnifrith please! He causes stress & anguish - go away Tom, you're a bore." and then sent his tedious column to various folks such as Nigel Wray.
Background. Last year Paul turned up late for the UK Investor Show bearcast as he had gone to the wrong venue. This year I felt safe as two hours before the bearcast I knew Paul was due on the main stage with Paul Jourdan & Nigel Wray and he would not screw that up would he? Er.... As I walked off from the previous session I was told Scott was running 10 minutes late and so I agreed to start his session with Wray and Jourdan for him. 35 minutes later I was still there, over-running by a few minutes but managing well ( I thought). Still no sign of Scott. Anyhow in this bearcast I start off with five minutes on Blockchain with Malcolm Palle of Coinsilium (COIN) then it is onto Scott who seems not to understand that a fact is something that has happened, it is derived from the Latin. Opinions are not facts! Enjoy!
Im am putting off assorting my jumbled thoughts on Neil Woodford and the fraud MySquar (MYSQ) into an ordered presentation but that is for this afternoon. Pro tem I look at Avanti Communications (AVN), IQE (IQE), Mobile Streams (MOS), Nighthawk (HAWK) - off 60% today but still at the very least 80% overvalued - and Leaf Clean Energy (LEAF). If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 - THIS SATURDAY - one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH. ORDER NOW and we cannt post but will email you a ticket by tonight.
I start with a discussion of my drinking problem. My problem being that I just cant take it anymore even though this is the week when I am plied with booze. I then move onto humourless bastard lawyers, specifically at Pinsent Masons. Then I discuss AIQ (AIQ) - its share price is madness and I'm out. Its been a hoot fellas and will pay for my holiday in Sweden next week. Then Gattaca (GTCA), IDOX (IDOX), Magnolia Petroleum (DOG), Amur Minerals (AMC) and finally Challenger (CHAL) and its problem with a company I have renamed Star Rectum. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 - THIS SATURDAY - one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH. ORDER NOW and we cannt post but will email you a ticket tonight.
Do not worry it is not all macro babble in today's podcast but I reflect on why Sterling is roofing it and why this also makes the Paul Scott thesis on retailers and consumer facing stocks wrong - more of that on Saturday no doubt! I look at Amur Minerals (AMC) with the 1 question its dumb shareholders need to ask. I intrude on the private grief at Somerville towers regarding Scancell (SCLP) and suggest that there is more to come for poor Nigel. And I look at perennial dog Iofina and what it is NOT saying. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 - THIS SATURDAY - one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH. ORDER NOW - LAST POSTING TODAY
I was chatting to Dom Frisby this morning ahead of the Sarries evening tomorrow which is the first part of UK Investor (gold tickets only). More on that in the podcast where I also look at UK house prices, Ascent Resources (AST), Immupharma (IMM), investing in biotech, PCGE (PCGE), MySquar (MYSQ) and its new marriage from hell and at Versarien (VRS). Tin hat on after that annoying its deranged fans by daring to ask questions. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 - THIS SATURDAY - one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH.
In this podcast I look at Fronterra (FRR) where I'm vindicated and my twitter pest of the week - a detergent salesman - is now even more out of pocket. I look at Greka Drilling (GDL) and at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) where Lyin' Steve is now really taking the piss with his 0.4p options. Finally I wonder how close is Totally (TLY) to needing a bailout placing. With Allenby of Servision (SEV) infamy and the chap who assisted Quindell (QPP) at Cenkos on board it has a broking dream team in place. I take a detailed look. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 - THIS SATURDAY - one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. This is the most polite i shall ever be. Okay the mother-in-law is out and my father in law has hearing issues but still its a no swearing podcast in which I discuss FairFx (FFX), Vin Murria, the Uk Investor Show and a new major headache for Purplebricks ( PURP) and the wider issue of revenue visibility. I also note events in Syria which I cover in more detail HERE. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH.
Version 2. Darren cut off 6 minutes of the podcast first time around. I am a nice guy. I will not fire him...until Monday. After many years I have upgraded from a Nokia brick to a sort of smart phone but I cannot work out how to answer calls or indeed shut it off or put it on silent. So in this podcast it very much plays the shepherd of Porlock. In the podcast itself I discuss my domestic arrangements ahead of the return of the Mrs and a weekend with the mother-in-law ( some of us have all the luck) then look at TrakM8 (TRAK), RM2 (RM2), Online Blockchain (OBC) and reminisce about Sefton (SER) and Jimmyliar Ellerton, prompted by a long chat with Brokerman Dan last night. In detail I look at Fishing Republic (FISH) which looks, to me, an increasingly sick puppy. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH.
Interrupted by a vomiting cat and by Amazon delivery men this is my third stab at a podcast today. In it I cover FlowGroup (FLOW), Avanti Communications (AVN) and Inmarsat (ISAT), BCA Marketplace (BCA), the crock of shit that is Mosman Oil & Gas (MSMN) and Pantheon Resources (PANR), also a crock. And I revisit Air Partner (AIR) which is still not answering a key question. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH.
After last week's twitter spat we have made up and are friends again so Paul Scott will, after all, be recording a bearcast special with me at UK Investor Show. If you have not booked a free investor class seat for 21 April do so now at www.ukinvestorshow.com/tickets using the promotional code WINNIFRITH. In today's bearcast I look at a moron and Marechale (MAC), at FlowGroup (FLOW), MySquar (MYSQ), Hvivo (HVO), Strat Aero (AERO), Omega Diagnostics (ODX) and those two awful words "strategic review" and at Air Partner (AIR). Over on my personal website there is a podcast setting a few folks straight on Lady Thatcher - HERE.
Not this one but one I recorded yesterday with my pal the king fraudster Sam Antar who created the original Panama Pump. Sam was on fine form and I shall unleash that podcast in a couple of weeks time but it was awesome. I pick up on a few themes from it and discuss Ascent Resources (AST), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) - read Nigel's brilliant piece, about a company where I own 1 share so I can attend GMs, HERE - and Strat Aero (AERO). If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH.
In today's bearcast - recorded in a rush as GSC business awaits in Manhattan - I look at BNN (BNN) after today's shocking news HERE, MySquar (MYSQ), Quadrise Fuels (QFI) and Defenx (DFX). Tootle Pip...more tomorrow. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. As old Jim Mellon is such a good friend I thought I'd have a butchers. Is it because of more problems at the Diabetic Boot Company or is it a cash crisis at SalvarX (SALV) or at Regent Pacific? What is it about this related party nest of snakes that is making investors shun shares in Jim's Port Erin (PEBI)? I discuss in detail. I also look at MySquar (MYSQ) as the fraud skids to a new low, Ecsc (ECSC), the cyber junk play, FastJet (FJET) - another bailout placing ahoy - and old Clem's spoof Online BlockChain (OBC) as it tanks again. And then its RIP Conviviality (CVR), formal notice of wipeout for those who punt on the back of a brokers note and for other investors. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. If you are my age you may remember the song, it was a hit when I lived there and today i head over to stay with the same folks as i lived with more than 30 years ago. Ahead of that there are more words on the gender pay gap data abuse as covered in detail HERE and then I cover Vela (VELA) and a bursting blockchain bubble, Vitesse Media (VIS) - opportunistic scumbags - Infrstrata (INFA), Inspirit (INSP), Collagen (COS), MySquar (MYSQ) and Frontera (FRR). And there may be major news on Air Partner (AIR) soon, I seem to have found a whistleblower. Happy days. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Only kidding! Death Wish, which is not, as you might think, hapless Mayor Khan's new tourist promo video for London, is not out until Friday. So I gave the Mrs a far more suitable present for her birthday but what to give my Labour party loyalist sister Comrade N?. Back to the Mrs: I sense that I shall be watching the new Bruce Willis movie alone. I digress. In today's bearcast I look at Weatherley International (WTI), the fraud MySquar (MYSQ), Pathfinder Minerals (PFP), Air Partner (AIR), Sosandar (SOS), IFG Group (IFP), IQE (IQE) - where I try not to be tasteless as I flag a difficult issue but apologise in advance if I offend anyone - and Purplebricks (PURP). If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Tomorrow is the birthday of the Mrs so there may not be a bearcast. If not I shall be back on Wednesday morning ahead of a flight to New York on Global Shorting Conspiracy business. In today's podcast I look at why gold like my Wisdens is an investment. Then I discuss two shares in AIM stocks which, for very different reasons, I am considering buying next week and I'd like to thank one of my colleagues for - perhaps - giving me a chance to do so very cheaply. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. As today is the day to celebrate resurrection, I thought it fitting to comment on a couple of stocks, namely Sosandar (SOS) and Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT). Despite a difficult first quarter for the pair of them, I expect them to laugh death in the face and crack on from here bigger and better than ever.
The excitement mounts as the Winnifrith family heads off for a day at an owl sanctuary for that is the current obsession of young Joshua. Ahead of that I reflect on themes touched on by Malcolm Stacey today (HERE) and also Chris Bailey (HERE). I go far further than they do. The times they are a changin' and not for the better. Bring on the goats. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Bad language alert. The results are dire and demonstrate again the extent of the fraud that the useless wankers at AIM Regulation, Nomad SP Angel and the FCA are prepared to overlook. They show the extent of the lies told by CEO Eric Schaer. And they show a company that is running out of other people's money fast, facing a death spiral blizzard of share sales and where everyone involved deserves to burn in hell. With hard analysis of the numbers I explain all. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH
Bad language alert. No I am not referring to Mrs Stacey. I would not dare but to Feedback (FDBK) which has done a placing today but another one is needed soon. I look at Mosman (MSMN) which has had terrible results and imagine the conversations round at SP Angel as poor Zac Phillips is forced to pen another buy note on this POS. I look at results from UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), the RedX (REDX) disaster, RM2 (RM2) and Conviviality (CVR). I really enjoyed today's podcast and - conceitedly - think it is rather a good one.
Some bears are on the pitch, they think it's all over, it is now - I refer to Conviviality and that is what I expect to be chanting within 24 hours. The game is almost up. At 5.42 PM prompted by reports that it was already in administration from, inter alia, Sky and the Daily Star, Conviviality updated us all on progress. Okay it is not in administration yet ...but it may well be there by tomorrow.
In this bearcast I cover Sosandar (SOS) as Cynical Bear pretends to be Ben Turney on steroids and then turn my fire to all the bad news that UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) is sitting on and may release well after hours tomorrow. Then I look at Gloo Networks (GLOO) which is linked to BCA Marketplace (BCA). Gloo is at every level a total fecking scandal of greed and well everything. I should warn you that there is a bad language alert as Gloo is everything that is wrong about the AIM Casino. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. The Mrs thinks her dad was born in Chennai. I explain the relevance of this as I discuss Mercantile Ports & Logistics (MPL) and more evidence that has fallen into my hands suggesting that it is doomed. Elsewhere I look at Purplebricks (PURP), Angle (AGL) and the corruption of Fleet Street, Brokerman Dan again showing that he did not train as a journalist but as er..something else as he looks at Big Dish a stock where I have no knowledge or financial interest I also look at the disgraceful news today from Nick "not for the many but the" Trew at Pathfinder Minerals (PFP) and at ITM Power (ITM)
I look at a Winnifrith Rule AIM must introduce for board outsing EGMs ref Pathfinder (PFP), Magnolia (MAGP) and Conroy (CGNR) and I look at why we are in a bear market but why I'm not panicked. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. In today's podcast I look at why some folks really don't get it. If I want to stop risking my capital and working ball-breakingly long weeks and retire that is not selfish as one poster suggested when I said why I was planning on doing just that HERE. I look at market falls and why I expect more and at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and where the shares go now. What does David Lenigas say & what will happen? Finally House of Fraser is joining retailageddon. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Make sure you book a free ticket HERE using the promotional code WINNIFRITH - Oh and Big Dave will also be there on a panel discussion covering Uk onshore oil & gas!
Nigel Wray is the man known as Britain's Buffett. He does not punt on resources stocks or high risk biotech wheezes. Instead he makes his millions buying shares in smaller growth companies that make profits, pay dividends and generate cash. That is value investing. He was one of the early investors in Domino's and made tens of millions from Telecom Plus as well. There was property giant Burford, just an £8 million capitalised penny share when he got involved and the list of winners goes on and on
Two days, two bull articles on IQE (IQE). It has worked and I have been goaded here is is why Malcolm Stacey is talking bollocks. I also reference the fraud Eden Research (EDEN) in this discussion on profit being a matter of opinion and that is why cash matters. I discuss why being a liar is bad news as a CEO ref Mkango Resources (MKA) then tease Andrew Monk and Richard Jennings about Gulfsands Petroleum (GPX) - their oil analysis as bad as their Syria analysis on this occasion. Then it is onto Flybe (FLYB) and a detailed discussion of the looming cash crisis and joke valuation at Sound Energy (SOU). I suggest SalvaRx (SALV) run by my good friend Jim Mellon faces a bit of a cash issue. Then I explain why I have cut my UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) target price to just 0.25p making it, at 1.125p, still a slam dunk sell. It is one month exactly to UK Investor Show. Book your seats today! In today's podcast I comment on retail generally but also on any company that says that it is talking to its banks and that they are "supportive." I look in detail at yesterday's results from Eden Research (EDEN). Would you Adam & Eve it? There's lots of snakes in that garden. I look at the request for an EGM of Pathfinder Minerals (PFP) to out useless Nick Trew and NED Toff Tory Sir Henry Bellingham MP of 3DM infamy. Sir Henry I have a score to settle and I have a warning for you about what I plan. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. In today's podcast I start with a digression about driving to Greece given the day's good news about the hovel HERE. But I have a serious point about residual values of cars, ref BCA Marketplace (BCA), Northgate (NTG) and others. I then look at Falcon Media (FAL) and its boss who I accuse of fraud and think should go to jail. Then it is on to Milestone (MSG) - told y'all!!!! - Ferrum Crescent (FCR), De La Rue (DLR), and Amur Minerals (AMC). I have a pop at an Ulster born bimbo on BBC Business over Brexit and then discuss Neil Woodford where Roger Lawson defends the indefensible after today's shocking revelations. IQE (IQE) the manufacturer of wafers which pretends that it is the next ARM and is the darling of Bulletin Board Morons, brokers looking to earn 5% on the next placing so writing ramptastic research reports today, avid broker report reader Paul Scott and our own Malcolm Stacey, has served up results for calendar 2017 which will please everybody.
Okay the most frequent poster in our comments section is a nutso commie but hat tip to Wildes for a phrase he taught me today. In the bearcast I discuss how to make real bread ( my next career?), Accrol (ACRL), Micro Focus (MCRO), Inspirit (INSP), Conviviality (CVR), Mothercare (MTC), Online Blockchain (OBC) and have a prize contest on TechFinancials (TECH) - can anyone explain this bollocks to me. The prize will be awarded at UK Investor on April 21 where the highlight of the day will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Having filled his boots with shares in Conviviality (CVR) the day before they were suspended pending clarification, the UK's top share blogger now reports that a rescue bailout could be at as little as 30p.
Value investing is how you make money from shares. Any other approach is not investing but speculating and is, by definition, hit and miss. So do you want to know what Britain's leading value investors are thinking and what shares they are buying and selling? Today's special opportunity is.... Three great value investors will be on stage together discussing how they select stocks and what they are buying and selling at the Global Group UK Investor Show in London on April 21. They are: Paul Scott, Britain's top share blogger, Nigel Wray, the man known as Britain's Buffett, and Dr Paul Jourdan the boss at the hugely successful Amati fund management operation.
The short list is Conviviality (SVR), Clear Leisure (CLP) and Graphene Nanochem (GRPH). I discuss all three but also UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) where the deafening silence is a very bad sign. I consider Sir Patrick's Day tomorrow and how Joshua and I will celebrate and I look at Mothercare (MTC), retail gloom, Mitie (MTO) and the double standards of the great and the good. Make sure you get your free ticket to UK Investor on April 21 using the promotional code WINNIFRITH when booking an investor class seat HERE - if only to hear a live 40 minute bearcast with myself & Paul Scott being recorded!
After recent events if Conviviality (CVR) boss Diana Hunter told me that 2 + 2 =4 I would ask her to provide credible third party verification before accepting her at her word. So today, with the shares suspended pending clarification following the "discovery" that £30 million of tax was due by month end, MS Hunter has updated poor investors and it seems everyone loves the company. What bollocks. Here are Ms Hunter's words with a ShareProphets translation service in bold.
Today's related party deal is the final straw and I have to use a C word when it comes to Gary Ashworth & Interquest (ITQ). I also look at Forbidden Technologies (FBT) which - whatever the directors say - needs a placing. I discuss PZ Cussons (PZC), Vernalis (VER) and Paul Scott's woes at Conviviality (CVR) - Scotty that is the danger of reading broker notes you should speak to the company instead. Nudge Nudge, know what I mean. Wink, wink.Make sure you get your free ticket to UK Investor on April 21 using the promotional code WINNIFRITH when booking an investor class seat HERE - if only to hear a live 40 minute bearcast with myself & Paul Scott being recorded!
You know that I view soft soap paid for interviews with folks like Proactive in a deeply negative way. But Steve O' Hara of Optibiotix (OPTI) comes, I believe, across well and explains the import of recent announcements. In this interview O Hara gives the sort of hard numbers I have used in my writings on this stock. Paul Scott shows an extremer double standard in describing this as "nudge, nudge wink, wink" - I just called it talking to a company which is what anyone sensible would do. I explain why Scott is talking cock and applying double standards HERE. As for Optibiotix, do your maths listen to the whbole interview ( the last 30 seconds are very interesting), the shares are incredibly cheap at 62p offer and will go to well over 100p this year if half of what O'Hara says in this interview comes good. BUY.
Paul Scott is having a go at me on twitter and on the comments section here - which I publish as I believe in free speech - but I put him straight on what research means and why he is - not for the first time - applying a double standard. Come on old boy - be fair and look at the actual facts. Then I look at Vela (VELA) and what its share price says about sentiment on the AIM Casino. En passant I cover the dog Arian (AGQ) Finally a detailed look at Countrywide (CWD) - dire statement today - and where that leaves Purplebricks (PURP). Which is the bigger short? A tweet from Scott is below:
In today's bearcast I start with a reader complaint but then he is a tosser so who cares? Then it is onto looking at the differences between the funding facilities at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and MySquar (MYSQ). I am bearish on both but the differences in the two packages are instructive. I look at Nature Group (NGR), Jim Mellon's uber-ramp FastForward (FFWD) and at Purplebricks (PURP) is the Neil Woodford bubble about to burst again, as even former supporters like Paul Scott admit my analysis was right and theirs wrong.
More than 300 tickets for the UK Investor show have been reserved this week alone. That is more than 10% of the available stock. More than half the seats at the UK Investor Show have already been booked even though the event is still two months away - we have never seen demand like this in 17 years. Get your seat while stocks last...
Sorry this podcast is a bit brief as I am ill. In it I look at IQE (IQE) where I wonder if my bearishness has trumped the bullishness of Paul Scott. I look at Starcom (STAR), Tern (TERN) and Cloudbuy (CBUY)
I am asked if any member of the Global Shorting Conspiracy has a view on Debenhams (DEB). The answer, as it happens, is no. However...
I always defer to Paul Scott on matters retail. He is the guru. He got Boohoo (BOO) right and I was wrong (before I turned volte face and was right). So if Paul Scott says he has bought 1% of Sosandar (SOS), as a fellow shareholder I am cheered.
What makes the UK Investor Show easily the top one day conference for those who want to make money from shares? Two things.
IQE (IQE) is being hailed as “the next ARM Holdings” - you can see the bull case from my pal Paul Scott HERE. But if this is correct it would mark a major turnaround for a company that has been around for nearly two decades without generating any shareholder equity.
Some posts on our comments section are so interesting that they merit a wider audience. Overnight Paul Scott, Britain;s top share blogger, served up a really interesting one on ASOS (ASC), prompted by Malcolm Stacey's recent (bearish) article here. This is really very interesting analysis. The great Scott writes:
On today's bearcast I look at K3 Capital Group (K3C) and ask when is a legally binding lock in not a lock in? If I hear another fat cat CEO say that he is dumping shares "in response to institutional demand" I think I shall scream. I have some observations about and (unanswered) questions for BNN (BNN) and its - suspended - CEO Darren Mercer. I have some observations about the democracy hating Professor Moriaty of Conroy Gold & Natural Resources (CGNR) and then a few observations from Paul Scott and myself about Boohoo (BOO).
Hello, Share Cavaliers. It’s rare that I keep returning to shares I’ve commended to you. But the case of IQE (IQE) is so intriguing and knife-edge that I think it might be worth keeping under review. As I write the share is up another 6%. It has been seesawing up and down, rather alarmingly, for a few weeks now. Uncle Tom had a go at my support for this stock in a recent bearcast. He argued that the shares are hopelessly over-valued and to take profits might be the more prudent course.
I am, on balance, bearish on IQE (IQE) - not as a slam dunk it'sgoing to zero - I just think the shares are seriously overvalued as I explained in a weekend bearcast HERE. But Britain's top share blogger Paul Scott disagrees. The great man writes:
Neil Woodford, Paul Scott and the man who compares himself to Warren Buffett, Roger Lawson, have no doubt done full due diligence on the manangement at Purplebricks (PURP), notably its founders, the Bruce brothers. Or maybe not...
I wonder if my pal Paul Scott, the UK's top share blogger, has headed up to the post industrial grim urban wastlelands of Coventry for the AGM and investor open day of TrakM8 (TRAK). As someone who grew up near there I would not wish such a fate on anyone let alone a sensitive soul like Paul. Anyhow if a day in the place that gave us "Living in a ghost town" is not bad enough he will also have to digest a trading statement crafted by evil PR genius and crony capitalist Reg Hoare which ...leave a lot to be desired in term transparency. I would expect nothing less.
It is quite amazing to see just how few friends fund manager Neil Woodford has in the City these days. It is almost as if I am starting to feel that he is a kindred spirit. Neil, how about we have a joint Square Mile Christmas party for all of our friends in a telephone kiosk somewhere? The vast fees Nomates has charged for delivering three years of dismal underperformance do not play well but it is the arrogant insistence that Mr Market is always wrong because Nomates knows better that has unleashed such waves of schadenfreude after his latest disasters. But he still has one or two defenders who say "aha remember 2001" - but this Maginot defence does not wash.
I wrote recently that I wouldn’t want to be short Fevertree (FEVR) or Purplebricks (PURP) on the basis that clearly crazy valuations have a habit of getting crazier.
Britain's top share blogger posted a few comments here late last night. Did I say Chaka KIhan and Cheese! But one in particular merits a wider audience. Paul respinded to my comments on Fairpoint (FRP) and Revolution Bars (RBG) HERE. Paul notes:
First up I must congratulate Paul Scott for sticking with and, I think averaging down, on Revolution Bars (RBG) which earlier this week received a tentative 200p share offer. Paul was right and I was wrong. It happens. I guess my, almost teetotal existence and his extensive field work gave him the edge. Only kidding - it was a great call by Paul and one orf the reasons why he is such a great share blogger. I am sure his session with Nigel Wray at UK Investor 2018 (as well as his live bearcast with me) will justify attendance on its own. But just as a reminder we do not get it all right, here is a classic Scott twitter outburst, regarding Fairpoint (FRP) which said that it would be calling in administrators today.
Five days ago someone who you would say had a career death wish, if he had actually got a career, sent me a stern lawyers letter demanding that I pull all articles on him (going back 40 months) pay him damages, never write about him again and publish a grovelling apology dictated by him. I asked you to guess who has been so daft and 92% of you got it wrong.
My contention, questioned by certain other well known share bloggers, is that TrakM8 (TRAK) is what Warren Buffett would define as a "bad company." That is not saying that it is a fraud. It is not, although it has told untruth's in RNS's and raised cash to buy some strange old businesses. It is bad because it just does not generate free cashflow. Paul Scott, PR crony capitalist Reg Hoare or the paid corporate shrills can bang on abourt earnings per share till the cows come home but earnings are a matter of opinion, cash is a matter of fact. Trakm8 yesterday published its, piss poor, results for the year ended 31 March 2017.
Okay this really is the last one until September. But I have packed and am ready to travel and am bored, so here goes one more time. First up I discuss those who always blame others for their lack of profits, citing some twitter chum of the great Paul Scott. Then as Brent plunges through $45 I discuss why it is falling, where it will go next and if you should sell all your shares. The answer is a very selective no.
Don't worry it is not Paul Scott in the altogether, it is the official ADVFN share blogger of the year, Mr Daniel Levi, aka Brokerman Dan with his bling. All we ask is that you supply a suitable caption for the photo below with a deadline of midnight tonight. Post away in the comments section below. For what it is worth my entry is:
If ever there was a demonstration of how price is not the same as value when it comes to shares it was Fusionex (FXI). Time and time again we pointed out the red flags yet the company maintained a market cap of up to £100 million. that was £100 million too high. Now, after five years in which £55 million has been transferred from UK Investors to Malaysia the company announced after hours on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend that it would delist. Its shares have crashed to 42.52p (the last fund raise was at 325p) but that is still way too high. And Britain's top share blogger, the fitness guru Paul Scott has weighed in and agrees with me.
UK Investor Show 2017 was three weeks ago and was our biggest event yet. The 15th anniversary party got rave reviews from attendees. But fear not the 16th show , UK Investor 2018 on April 21 will be even bigger and better and there are compelling reasons to book your seats NOW.
In the past seven days, 43,154 unique readers read 70,771 pages on ShareProphets. The circulation of the Investors Chronicle is c30,000. Shares is less than half of that. To our critics who think we do not count, we say think again.
In this video from the storming success that was the 2017 UK Investor Show, Paul Scott finds Nigel Wray's and Paul Mumford's investment strategies. And make sure that you keep April 21 2018 free for next year's UK Investor Show.
There are some people who think the stockmarket and shares business is like robbing a bank - all about making money however you go about it. But at a time of year when many of us think about a man who gave the ultimate gift, his life, for others we think that business should also be about giving. And that brings us to Woodlarks and the UK Investor Show. It started with Paul Scott who donated his, very small, speaker fee...
Paul accidentally went to the wrong venue so Tom hosted the show by himself to start, but then Paul arrived and so did the fireworks. This is a special live Bearcast recorded in front of a live audience at the UK Investor Show 1 April 2017.
The last postal mailing of tickets for THE investor event of the year is Thursday Morning. So to grab your seat and join 3,000 others who want to make money from shares ACT NOW!
After Saturday's debacle in Islington, there is clearly just 1 major event to go to for those who want to make money from shares - UK Investor Show. To meet more than 120 growth companies and to hear the most amazing cast of speakers you have to be there on April 1 at the QE2 Centre in London. There is just one show to go to so BOOK NOW and join 3,000 other people who want to make money from shares.
One of Paul Scott's most endearing qualities is that he can laugh at himself as the video below makes clear. But he is also a razor sharp brain and will be chairing the session with Britain's Buffett, Nigel Wray, and the UK's top small cap fund manager of 2016/17 Paul Mumford at UK Investor Show on Saturday. There will be fireworks then. Meanwhile....
Normally Nigel Wray turns up at UK Investor, talks and leaves. This year - our 15th anniversary party - is different. He will be there from start to finish and when not on stage that opens up a unique opportunity for those attending on April 1. For more than 40 years, Nigel , the man dubbed Britain's Buffett, has been a stockmarket legend for his ability to generate stellar returns not by wild gambling on mining punts or biotech start ups but by rigid value investing. Like the Original Buffett, the Sage of Omaha, Wray is a bottom up value investor who buys and holds. Would you like to know what he thinks is the cheapest share in London? Would you like a one to one chat with Nigel?
Some of the bulletin board morons have mocked ShareProphets for asking for donations to the Fighting Fund, accusing Tom of having the begging bowl out. The truth is: it works and the alternative is terrifying.
Yes, I shall be recording my first ever joint bearcast - if one excludes ones where Oakley has chipped in. The date is April 1, my opponent is Paul Scott. Will it be TrakM8 or checkmate? The venue London in a new bonus session at UK Investor Show. I explain more about this total one-off in today's podcast. It is 4 weeks to the day to UK Investor and tickets are 85% booked out so if you are not booked in book NOW! On this podcast I also look at Brave Bison (BBSN) and TrakM8 (TRAK) and how cost cutting can itself prompt a cash crisis. I look at Audioboom (BOOM) with a more generous eye. I look at Glenwick (GWIK), now booted off AIM, which stinks. And I look at the idea of investing in shite companies to make money, ref Red Leopard (RLH) and Cynical Bear. This also brings me to ECR (ECR) where we own shares and I now see arch ramper Big Gib is on board. Over to you Big Gob do not let me stop you!
I felt the need for a mid afternoon nap after a draining twitter exchange with Britain's top share blogger Paul Scott in which he lambasted me for what he thought I said about his calls on TrakM8 (TRAK) in an article he admitted that he had not actually read. Suffice to say he was barking up the wrong tree. I set the record straight and look again at TrakM8 and why Paul would be wrong to buy back in on the day my original analysis was 100% vindicated - as you can see HERE. I look at Blenheim Natural Resources (BNR) and issue dire warnings. I wonder what is up at Cloudbuy (CBUY). I refer to my postcard on my own website which has just gone up. When is a foreigner not a foreigner and the silliest Guardian reading remoaning bitch in Britain HERE
ShareSoc does some great work for private investors. Sadly its former chairman Roger Lawson of blinkx & Globo fame- taken apart brilliantly by Paul Scott HERE - continues to behave in a way that is not quite right. He was at it again last night and also a week or so ago.
April 1 really is the date for the UK Investor Show which is now the 15th time that Nigel Wray, aka Britain's Buffett, and I have been involved in staging such an event. So it is a birthday party as well. And with MBN, the incredibly well regarded events management firm owned by Nigel's daughter Lucy, now in charge this will be a knockout event. Indeed here are more than 150 reasons why anyone serious about making money from shares must be there!
Roger Lawson the chairman of ShareSoc is of course a great expert on tech stocks. That was why he was able to dismiss so easily criticism from myself, Ben Edelman and Paul Scott about blinkx (BLNX) and Globo (GBO), two of his big holdings. Now it seems that another "Lawson winner" emerges - NCC Group (NCC) which had an awful statement yesterday as I explained HERE..
All the shit I got when I warned y'all repeatedly what a crap company TrakM8 (TRAK) is almost seems worth it now after yet another awful profits warning. No doubt share blogger Paul Scott, crony capitalist PR Man Reg Hoare and uber-bullish analyst Lorne Daniel of Finncap have already ordered that crates of ouzo be sent to me at once as my top analysis is vindicated again. It is what this warning does not say that should terrify you. Things will get worse.
I have stated repeatedly that AIM Bulletin Board darling Cloudtag (CTAG) is a fraud. It has repeatedly lied to investors to help it raise cash. But I have an offer and a challenge to its CEO Amit Ben Haim which is worth £5000 to Cloudtag.
It is now fifteen years since Nigel Wray & Tom Winnifrith started doing one day investor shows together. The first was in a snow covered Westminster now they celebrate a decade and a half of working together with what will be the most spectacular event yet. It will be the biggest with 121 companies exhibiting on the day. There is the strongest ever speaker line up and a raft of free prize draws as well as a gift worth £18 for everyone attending. So with 50% of the 2,500 tickets already reserved hurry up and grab yours today!
We are delighted to announce that UK Investor Show will be running two new sessions covering two companies of massive investor interest. The show takes place on April 1 (no joke) in London and already boasts a top panel of keynote speakers including Britain's Buffett Nigel Wray, top fund manager Mark Slater, the Queen of Tech Vin Murria, the UK's top share blogger Paul Scott and the UK's oldest fund manager as well as top bears Lucian Miers, Matt Earl and from New York Gabriel Grego and the Sheriff of AIM, Tom Winnifrith.
Paul Scott gets some things right I get wrong ( Boohoo!). And he is an incredibly talented analyst and writer and a good bloke. But his reaction to the TrakM8 (TRAK) shocker earlier is just nonsensical and has annoyed me. Paul is just in denial as I explain in detail. No doubt the health guru would also disapprove strongly with my Birthday pudding today which was just amazing.
I start by explaining why Chris Bailey of Financial Orbit is a freak!. it is all to do with Star Wars. Then it is onto TrakM8 (TRAK) following my kerboom article of earlier. I make specific points about Paul Scott's favourite dog but then general points about why company's acquire and why that turns me off.
It is my birthday today and the TrakM8(TRAK) supporters club of top blogger Paul Scott, crony capitalist PR man Reg Hoare and tech analyst Lorne Daniel of FinnCap need each to order a bottle of ouzo to send me with a note saying "you were right - you is da king". Subsidiary accounts for Route Monkey have finally emerged and are truly diabolical just as I predicted to hoots of derision from the supporters club.
One of the comments made by bulletin board/Twitter morons that I always find mystifying is: "Oh, you guys are just trying to get page views."
I am watching high quality TV like Midsomer Murders as the Mrs is away. I am bombarded with adverts for online fashion and holiday booking and am terribly confused - I need health guru Paul Scott to help explain what is going on as something is just not right. Then I look at when the criminal gangs at Quindell (QPP), Globo (GBO) and Worthington (WRN) will face justice. At least one might be in 2017. And I ask why Cloudtag (CTAG) morons want to send cash to a convicted criminal who appears to be living in a £3 million house despite BOTH he and his wife going through bankruptcty. It's all very odd.
Though I may have pneumonia thanks to Paul Scott, I am now safely in Kalamata looking up at the mountains where I live when in Greece and the storm clouds are ominous. So back to the stockmarket I look at Finnaust (FAM), Audioboom (BOOM), Avanti Communications (TOAST), Condor Gold (CNR), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Webis (WEB) and Anglesey Mining (AYM) which is spouting bullshit today as it places.
I must rush. Woodlarks beckons and then it is Greece. But first I look at: Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) in light of last night's bombshell HERE, TrakM8 (TRAK ) - chatting to Paul Scott - Pantheon Resources (PANR), Bushveld Minerals (BMN), FastForward (FFWD), Jim Mellon's reported comments and Mosman oil & Gas (MSMN).
"Lorne Daniel at FinnCap, PR man Reg Hoare, Nomad Ed Frisby, Broker Joanna Scott, Edison Research, Proactive Investors we have beaten them all, we have beaten them all!. Paul Scott can you hear me? Paul Scott ... your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!" Yes The Sheriff of AIM is again 100% vindicated and it is ouzo o'clock already thanks to dog TrakM8 (TRAK)! But where next for the shares? All is discussed in full in this bonus podcast.
I start with the urgent matter of the weight of my three legged cat Oakley and I take stern warnings from health guru Paul Scott. But there are problems to deal with which the guru may not appreciate. Then I comment again on African Potash (AFPO) which has suffered the usual fate of those PLCs who threaten me with fascist lawyers' letters. Then I work my through Senterra (SEN), Mitie (MTO), China Africa (CAF), Arria (NLG), Instem (INS) and LXB retail (LXB).
In this podcast I look at the Hillary Clinton bombshell and what it means for the election and shares, something I cover in more detail HERE. Then, for the benefit of Paul Scott, I set the record straight on ShareSoc - I have every right to say it should not get the taxpayer cash it demands. Then I explain insider dealing and the difference between how I treated Reach4Entertainment (R4E) and Cyan (CYAN). Finally I suggest that heads must roll at Northland over the Management Resource Solutions (MRS) scandals.
There are two stories that you should be reading this week: one from the top 10 - Cloudtag and the guaranteed $5.2 million order that is not going to happen - think Christmas which is as big a slap to the noggin to the morons as can be given. The other is READ THIS NOW: Give Woodlarks a few quid today to transform someone's Christmas. Whether you had a profitable year or a lamentable one, read this and make your own Karma account will get a bonus.
I start with a discussion of gold versus Sovereign debt and refer to a table at the bottom of an article I penned today on the delusional poisonous midget Nicola Sturgeon and her welfare addicted countrymen HERE. Then it is onto TrakM8 (TRAK) but more importantly Boohoo (BOO). Will Paul Scott concede defeat on the former, should I show humility and concede defeat on the latter, just to avoid another session of retail gross margins waterboarding. What do you think? Cripes that reminds me that we picked up some Boohoo shares in the Dragons Den session last year at UK Investor. Bank gains, methinks.
As we know, my good pal Paul Scott bought shed loads of TrakM8 (TRAK) shares at c220-230p following what he termed a "Winni-wobble", that is to say share price weakness caused by my high quality investigative and forensic journalism. With the shares dipping another 10% today to 165p-170p without me saying a dickie bird, perhaps Paul wants to average down? I wouldn't.
I am aware that Britain's top share blogger Mr Paul Scott is flying back from an extended Greek holiday this morning. When he lands at Gatwick and checks his smartphone he will see that shares in his beloved TrakM8 (TRAK) have dived by 10% today, to just 200p to sell after a piss poor trading statement. I hope Paul has some duty free ouzo for the Sheriff as I think he owes me an apology on this one. Hmmmmm I can almost smell the aniseed now...Scotty you know where to send it.
The UK's top one day investor show is now jointly owned by the family of the man known as Britain's Buffett, Nigel Wray and this is the LAST DAY to bag a ticket for the show and an all star cabaret at Saracens at a 33% discounted rate. Book TODAY for what promises to be two magical events. The 2017 conference is going to be a blockbuster!
Paul posted this earlier in the comments section and it merits a wider audience. That is not only for exposing Paul's tragic taste in music but also key lessons on tech investing. Over to the top share blogger.
In today's bearcast I start with a brief look at Highlands Natural Resources (HNR), explaining why I knew it was a wrong 'un as soon as I saw who its management team included. I have two follow up articles on today's collapse to come but suffice to say that at anything above a couple of pence its shares are a slam dunk sell. I also look at Aureus Mining (AUE), cover Servelec (SERV) and what it says about equities in general. Steve covers it in detail very well HERE. Then it is onto Fitbug (FITB) and how today's scandal at Thor Mining (THR) begs AIM for a big change in the rules to stop mug punters getting shafted as poor Paul Scott was at Cyan (CYAN). I also have another warning of doom and more questions for Lord Tim Razzall of disgraced Boxhill (BOX) - target price 0p.
Why are shares in TrakM8 (TRAK) plunging. This is not a "Winni-wobble." The company needs to make a statement either officially or via its spokesman on earth, Paul Scott. Elsewhere, after a visit to Mistra which was amazing, I look at Gulf Keystone (GKP), death merely postponed, Avanti Communications (AVN ) - ditto - Edenville Energy (EDL) ditto and Cyan (CYAN) where I explain who is shafting Joe Retail: brokers and management.
Ooops a daisy another day and another scoop and another hugely discounted placing revealed by yours truly. Apologies to Paul Scott if he was suckered into this one too by a ramptastic trading statement on May 31 but with shares in Provexis (PXS) trading at 0.26p-0.29p this perennial uber-dog with fleas is passing the hat around again. Time for a statement hapless Nomad & broker Cenkos?
