SHOCKING: Made.com – another disastrous 2021 IPO unravels – is anybody on the board not resigning?

It is only ten and a half months since online furniture seller Made.com (MADE) listed on the Main Market, raising £100million by issuing new shares at 200p while existing shareholders lobbed out a cheeky £90 million of stock onto gullible institutions. Today, after a dismal profits warning, the shares are just 56p to sell. Meanwhile another rat has left the sinking ship as it burns through its ill gotten IPO gains ever more rapidly.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Young Steve makes an excellent point and enjoy what will be agony for me tomorrow

His point is about the structure of one of a raft of uber-dog IPOs of 2021, Seraphime (BUMP). But that structure is common to a number of other dogs and willl be their downfall. I am in agony as I prepare for bed for reasons explained HERE. But tomorrow I shall do a 20 mile Woodlarks training walk none the less. Please think of my extreme pain as I walk towards Chester and if you are among the 96% of listeners yet to donate to this great cause please do so HERE

Seraphine – further lack of investor confidence could be significant...

Previously writing on maternity and nursing wear group Seraphine (BUMP), earlier this month with the shares down towards 30p I remained bearish. The shares last closed at just above 29p but why are they currently a further approaching 7% lower just today?...

In the coming recession no hope if no moat

I suspect that very few investors and surprisingly few PLC directors have any idea what a recession looks like. For starters most folks in both camps are rich but in a recession, it is the poor or lower middle classes who get whacked hardest. That is especially so when it is an inflationary recession as those lower down the order tend to have the least ability to “play catch up” by forcing through pay rises. And secondly you have to be of a certain age to remember a savage inflationary recession as an adult – the last one was ended with some fairly painful medicine by the blessed Lady Thatcher forty years ago.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I don't know what option would make me more angry

The reference is to the fact that there is only 1 candidate in the local elections where I live and he is a king sized dickhead. From that I move onto interest rates and why they should have been increased by more than 0.25%. Of course we should not be in this inflationary mess anyway. Then it is onto  Vast Resources (VAST), Trainline (TRN), Seraphime (BUMP),Parsley Box (MEAL) and musicMagpie (MMAG). I will try to complete my long promised share purchases tomorrow and to discuss them then.Thank you to all who have donated to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks.  We are now at 15% of target but still 97% of Bearcast listeners have yet to chip in. Come on, just a fiver or a tenner: please do donate now HERE. PS The reference to Kirstie Allsop and a podcast is about this one HERE

Seraphine – having listed less than a year ago, is ANOTHER profit warning really ‘demonstrating strong business model fundamentals’!?

Previously writing on maternity and nursing wear group Seraphine (BUMP), in February with the shares down towards 70p I noted having listed little more than 7 months ago… a lack-of-profits warning AGAIN! concluding that the deteriorating balance sheet and track record since listing meant it remains Bargepole. Now a “Year End Trading Update”...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: When is FinnCrap's profits warning? And some good news for Julie Meyer

I start with Ms Lingerie on Expenses after the latest bombshell.  Then it is ADVFN (AFN), Union Jack (UJO) with its spoof from the Eurasia (EUA) playbook, Seraphine (BUMP), Peel Hunt (PEEL) and FinnCap (FCAP).

Seraphine – having listed little more than 7 months ago… a lack-of-profits warning AGAIN!

Maternity and nursing wear group Seraphine (BUMP) has announced a trading update commencing that it “has experienced strong sales growth in the 17 weeks to 30th January 2022 of 45%” and including that it expects full-year adjusted EBITDA of circa £4.5 million. With adjusted EBITDA being manipulated bullshit earnings, that doesn’t sound a lot considering a start of day market cap of more than £100 million…

Seraphine – “CFO Appointment” announcement, what about the existing one then?...

CFO Appointment”-titled announcement from maternity and nursing wear group Seraphine (BUMP), stating it “is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Williams as Chief Financial Officer… He will join the company in the first half of 2022”. So why’s it pleased and, having listed in July, is there not already a CFO?…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Is it because they think I'm English I asked as Wrexham Council came visiting?

I put them straight that I was of Irish descent but my local village council are having a go at me again and so sent in two officers of Wrexham Council. To be fair, they agreed with me and think the villagers are, again, acting like total poltroons in harassing me whereas the previous owners were allowed to dump asbestos and whatever they wanted. I explain all in the podcast but suffice to say I am angry. Then I look in detail at Tern (TERN) and go far further than Lucian did earlier HERE. Then onto Union Jack (UJO) where nothing now makes sense. I also look at the crazy world of Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT) once more and add my tuppence worth on the scandal that is Seraphine (BUMP).

Seraphine – BUMP’s shareholders with a warning on trading…having only listed in July! IPO roll-call of shame...

“Trading Statement” announcement from Seraphine Group (BUMP), a maternity and nursing wear company which only listed on 16th July. Should be fine then, a mere just over 2 months since listing…
