The most-read non-Tom non-Quiz article this week is Ariana Resources – Bad News From Tavsan, But Still A Buy by Nigel Somerville at No 3 or No 9 including Bearcasts.
The most-read non-quiz non-Tom article this week is by Nigel Somerville with Ariana – 2022 Production Result: A Top Effort: Buy at No 2 or No 6 including Bearcasts.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced “a tremendous enhancement for Tavsan, as construction continues on site” as this project is further progressed as a second 23.5% interest gold mining operation here.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has issued an update on the work programmes in Turkey it has interests in, emphasising that it is “highly encouraged by the simultaneous and substantial progress being made” on the projects by its 23.5%-owned joint venture.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced half-year production was circa 7% above forecast and that construction operations are underway at Tavsan. What do these mean in relation to a 3.05p share price?
These are the most-read articles and most listened-to Bearcasts of the week. The most read non-Tom article is Ariana Resources – Half-Year Production Report: Tavsan On The Way: BUY by Nigel Somerville at number eight or number 13 if you include Bearcasts.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced significant progress across its projects, “most notably" the construction of Tavsan, with associated development activities being ramped up.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced an update to the mine development programme, underway at its 23.5% owned Tavsan project, which has helped the shares up to above 4p.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced production guidance for 2022 for the joint venture (Ariana 23.5%) Kiziltepe mine in Turkey, looking to add to performance which has consistently been above plan.
Ariana Resources (AAU) says that it is pleased to announce a 19% increase in Kiziltepe sector (Ariana – 23.5%) gold resource over the previous (2020) undepleted mineral resource estimate and that this shows the potential here. AIM companies though always say they are pleased to announce basically anything, so should Ariana really be pleased?
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced 2021 production from the 23.5%-owned Kiziltepe mine in Turkey and “with value upside evident across all arms of the company, 2022 is set to be a fantastic year for Ariana”. Well maybe. A lot clearly depends on the gold price but we do think that a) 2022 will be a good year and b) that is not discounted in the curremt share price.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced mineral resource updates for Kokkinoyia and Apliki in Cyprus, emphasising the former “contains a substantial tonnage of mineralised material across several domains beyond what was already understood from the historical work” and that it will now be looking into the potential to integrate a part of Kokkinoyia with the planned Apliki copper mine development project.
This is a shocking revelation which I discuss in detail. It shows the Big 4 accountancy firms are actually incentivising partners to engage in risky and incorrect business practices by indemnifying them against all costs if they are found out. The Big 4 then treat such fines as just another cost of doing business. What is going on is a disgrace which expses the moral bankruptcy at the heart of the accountancy establishment and must force the FRC to rethink punishments. I also discuss Ariana Resources (AAU) and why it needs no PR but especially the shysters it currently uses, the deafening silence at Chill Brands (CHLL) which marks it out as a zero and Union Jack Oil (UJO) where I suspect it is tme to give up and look elsewhere in the sector.
Jeepers, the answer will shock you but is a reminder that Fleet Street does read this website avidly. In the rest of the podcast, as my son spends the day vomiting I discuss a work life balance that is becoming increasingly daft. Then I head back to work looking at Ariana Resources (AAU) where I disagree with Nigel and probably lose another friend (Kerim Sener), Chesterfield Resources (CHF), Boohoo.com (BOO), AO World (AO.), Parsley Box (PUKE), Mercantile Ports (MPL) and Primary Bid and what it needs to change.
Ariana Resources (AAU) is pleased to announce recent resource drilling results obtained from the Kepez North area of Kiziltepe, 23.5% owned by the company – emphasising that the area will provide Kiziltepe with a source of high-grade ore for blending with its current processing plant feedstock.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced it will pay a dividend of 0.35p per share by 26th September, with further payments to then follow.
I am back in Wales as of the wee hours and reflect on that. Today has been plum harvesting day. In the podcast, I look at Jubilee Metals (JLP) where I am out but should I dive back in and Ariana Resources (AAU) where I am in but should I dive out? Then the two dogs both beloved of the Sith Lord Zak Mir: Argo Blockchain (ARB) and Remote Monitored Systems (RMS).
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced further drilling results from the producing Kiziltepe part of its 23.5% owned joint venture, including that “multiple structures were intercepted at each tested point… what is immediately apparent from our latest understanding is that there is an area of not fully quantified resource potential”. Further promise then.
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce its half-year 2021 production update for its joint venture Kiziltepe Mine” (Ariana: 23.5%) in Turkey. So what makes it ‘pleasing’?
Ariana Resources (AAU) has made a “Significant Resource Update: Kepez North”-titled announcement and also is “exceptionally pleased to be able to announce the details of the company’s dividend distribution plan”. Should investors be also?
Forgive the late bearcast but the local members of the Guardian-reading classes came round to swim with Joshua. In today’s podcast, I look at Ariana Resources (AAU), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) and the IPO frenzy with especial reference to Revolution Beauty and Forward Partners (FWD).
AIM-listed Gold (and Silver) producer in Turkey Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced a new venture in the form of a Discovery Fund, through which an initial A$ 2 million will be invested into discovery-stage mineral exploration in lumps of up to A$ 0.5 million at a time.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced drilling results obtained from the Kokkinoyia sector of the Magellan project in Cyprus, emphasising “the average grade across the whole length of the mineralised zone in this first hole demonstrates economically significant levels of copper and gold accumulation”. This is particularly good news as the current Kokkinoyia JORC Resource Estimate is just for copper – c.5Mt at 0.7% Cu for 36,000t Cu (‘Inferred’).
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced completion of capital reduction proceedings and “excellent Kepez North drilling results”. What’s the detail and import?…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced that its annual report is now expected next month “due to delays experienced as a result of continuing restrictions on travel to and within Turkey”, but that it is also now pleased to update the market on its operations…
Standard-listed Gold explorer Panther Metals (PALM), under the oversight of Ariana Resources’ (AAU) CEO Kerim Sener in the position of Chairman, has announced that the Australian listing of its Aussie assets has moved a step closer with the completion of a pre-IPO funding round. This is good news – especially if one considers the implied valuation.
And now from Wales, by just 30 yards, it is my new weekly video show. This costs 99p per episode, and you can either listen to, or watch, some sparky interviews with Kerim Sener of Ariana Resources (AAU), where I am a loyal shareholder, and then with the sorcerer’s apprentice Steve Moore on the markets and on what he owns. You can access the show HERE
Ariana Resources (AAU) has recently announced completion of a transformational joint venture and the results of latest geochemical sampling and geological interpretation of the Arzu North area at Kiziltepe – emphasising that it suggests that significant mineral potential remains to be tested throughout the area…
I guess it was about seven miles that my daughter and I managed and it was terribly muddy so hard going but I am not in great shape. On the last Saturday in May, I shall be doing 34 miles. I need to up the pace a bit. In the podcast I cover: AIQ (AIQ), Online Blockchain (OBC), MyHealthChecked (MHC), Zoetic (ZOE), Kanobo (KNB) and Ariana Resources (AAU).
Yesterday, I was offline from ShareProphets for most of the afternoon due to a snowstorm here in Canada that knocked out my Internet. Tom wanted to see some pictures, which you can see below. The third one is right in front of the house – that’s some guy who has drilled a hole and is ice fishing. At the time of the photo, he had not caught anything. Now, on to the most read articles.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced full-year 2020 production results and updated on progress as it advances development and exploration activities…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced further progress on the proposed partial disposal of interests in Turkey and of exploration plans. It is all good news and good news not yet fully discounted in the share price.
The most read non-Tom article this week is Ariana – Ozaltin Deal Conditional Agreement Completed, cracking news – last chance to buy? by Nigel Somerville (for an unheard-of ninth week in a row) at a fantastic number four or at number nine, including Bearcasts and Tom’s new shareshow.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced the completion of conditional agreements on its joint venture and additional resources estimated for the Magellan project. The latter is the small copper gold play in Cyprus and that does not float our boat but the former is massive news, though not unexpected…
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce the conditional agreement for the sale of its remaining projects in Turkey to Zenit” – and the shares have currently responded higher to 5.5p…
Despite “the quarter marked the end of production from the high-grade Arzu South open-pit”, Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce its operating results for the quarter ended 30 September 2020 for the Kiziltepe Mine” (Ariana: 50%) – and the shares have responded higher…
Tom Winnifrith writes: In 2016 the polls, the entire media class and the betting markets predicted that Hillary Clinton would defeat Donald Trump. On election day we were assured that crooked Hillary had a 92% chance of winning and the fake news folks round at the BBC were preparing for the victory party. I studied US politics at Oxford and, having lived in America, have always been fascinated by the subject and my detailed state by state analysis led me to predict, from some weeks out, that Trump would win. So what of 2020 – voting is on Tuesday…
With the exception of me, are Ariana Resources (AAU) shareholders the geekiest geeks on this planet? Answers on a postcard to Nigel Somerville please. For it seems many of them want to wear Ariana branded T-shirts and thus the company is selling a range of clothes and other accessories with all profits given to local charities. And among the many items on sale HERE is one which is the ideal gift this Christmas for an ex wife, as you can see below.
AIM-listed Turkish gold-producer Ariana Resources (AAU) has released its Q3 preliminary production results from Kiziltepe this morning and it seems to me that right now the company can do little wrong. The bad news (which we already knew) is that mining has shifted from the higher grade Arzu South pit to the lower grade Arzu North and Derya pits. But ore throughput at the plant hit a new record and plans to increase throughput are on the way…
I have a small holding in AIM-listed Optibiotix (OPTI) – perhaps Tom Winnifrith’s favourite stock. It has been a wild ride, with the shares having headed above £1 a pop but the stock has certainly been in the doldrums recently, having tested 50p over the summer and has now perked up to just 63p. Yet we are getting an extended flurry of contracts and deals which should transform this business, which as far as I can see has little issue over cash whilst we await the mega-profits promised. What gives?…
That bottle of Ouzo was already on ice, but this morning we learned that partner of AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU), Proccea, is to pony up $5.75 million to Ariana for its proposed share in Salinbas to add to the $30 million we already knew about from proposed new partner Ozaltin under the new joint venture scheme currently on the table. Of course, anyone who listened to Tom Winnifrith’s interview with Ariana CEO Kerim Sener at our MineProphets online conference would have known there was more to come, but this morning’s news was a welcome surprise as to its magnitude…
At the weekend, ShareProphets’ favourite technical analyst seemed at his bearish worst, warning that the correction hasn’t played out yet, that gold could drop to the low $1800s and you should keep your powder dry. Of course, in the longer term, Jordan Roy-Byrne of TheDailyGold.com is a major gold bull so he sees a pull-back as an opportunity. On the other hand, I have been suggesting selective accumulation as and when the opportunity presents itself. And yesterday, almost as soon as Roy-Byrne’s thoughts were out, the gold price went into a tail-spin – he is infuriating!…
In between snoozes with my feet up on the balcony at the Montana log-cabin, I commented yesterday that things were looking up even though a correction in gold and gold stocks is playing out. The numbers contain some surprises even for me….
And now from Wales, by just 30 yards, it is my new, I hope, weekly video show. This costs 99p per episode, and you can either listen to, or watch some sparky interviews with Nigel Somerville on gold and where it goes next, on how to play the gold bull market, what stocks to buy and what non stocks to buy and how a gold bug positions the rest of his portfolio. Then Paul Atherley from a non gold miner, Pensana Rare Earths (PRE), a play on all this green shit everyone – bar me – seems to love. And I explain why I have bought Pensana shares even though I think man-made global warming is utter bunkum. Finally two stocks where the valuation is insane: Dev Clever (DEV) and Trainline (TRN). You can access the show HERE
I start this bonus bearcast prompted by your emails and comments while I started to make some Damson Jam with Joshua with a few comments on the wisdom or otherwise of averaging down with reference to Wishbone Gold (WSBN). Then I look at NoGold’s claim (poor fellow having no gold exposure of late) that gold is being driven higher by herd behaviour. Finally, I am told that Messrs Andrew Bell (Red Rock Resources -RRR), Colin Bird (Xtract Resources – XTR, and others), and Harry Adams (Kefi) are only looking like heroes rather than zeros, as has been the case for many years, because gold is going higher. Referencing also Mr Kerim Sener of Ariana Resources (AAU), I discuss this and the nature of investing in mining stocks.
And so the correction in gold and gold equities is in full swing. Jordan Roy-Byrne of TheDailyGold.com was right (yet again) all along. Should I sell anything or just sit it out on my veranda overlooking the woods where my secret stash of the yellow metal is buried, with my feet up?…
And you thought that our own Nigel Somerville was nutso. Meet macro strategist David Hunter. Hmm, now what are my shares in Ariana (AAU) & Xtract Resources (XTR)worth on a DCF basis with gold at $10,000 oz? I am only kidding; this is quite literally insane.
Don’t be fooled by the muted share price reaction to this morning’s FY19 results from AIM-listed Turkish gold-producer Ariana Resources (AAU) – that is more to do with the wobbles in the gold market overnight after the gold price shot up towards $2000 per oz and now it looks a little like the correction I was concerned about is starting to hit. Ariana’s FY19 numbers are excellent, but more to the point, with the gold price much higher than it was last year there is plenty to read between the lines…
And now from Wales, by just 30 yards, it is my new, I hope, weekly video show. This costs 99p per episode, and you can either listen to, or watch some sparky interviews with Richard Poulden on the collapse of empires but also of the West at every level. Also covered is the death of oil and how we should save our finances against such a backdrop and with Kerim Sener of Ariana (AAU). I also explain why Supply@ME Capital (SYME) is a crooked zero and I review the six short ideas from the previous five shows, one of which is already a zero. You can access the show HERE
I have not yet drunk myself under the table following Gold’s passing $1800, although there is a small bottle of Ouzo which has come to my attention in the cupboard. The question is perhaps where now and how to play it, but the bigger question for me is just how bad things are going to get.
As I write, gold is battling towards $1800 again. We are not there yet, but there are signs for optimism that the mini-correction in gold and gold stocks is coming to an end. When I use the term “correction” please do bear in mind that it can be a correction in price or just time. So what are the signs giving me optimism?
Markets may be having a gloomy day, with the FTSE 100 currently off by 1.4% and the Dow off by 1.7%, but AIM-listed Turkish gold miner Ariana Resources (AAU) has offered up more good news even with gold off a little. The news today is that its wholly owned Ivrindi gold project has received a ten-year operational licence extension, along with a 45 hectare mining permit. Ivrindi is situated within trucking distance of Ariana’s 50% owned Red Rabbit joint venture with Proccea which includes the Kiziltpe processing plant...
I upgraded AIM-listed Turkish gold miner Ariana Resources (AAU) to strong buy a week ago in the wake of its shares crashing along with everything else, but critically noting that the cash to see off the bank loan was in the kitty. Now, with a proposed corporate action to bring in $30 million still under consideration, comes news that the company has taken delivery of £1.6 million in dividends from its Turkish subsidiary. All good news – and the shares are now back up to 2.8p – a gain of 44% on my strong buy. So buy, sell or hold now?...
My favourite two gold stocks are AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) and fully-listed Centamin (CEY). Both operate in far flung fields – Turkey in the former’s case, and Egypt in the latter’s – and both are producing gold. Of course, Ariana is amongst the tiddliest tiddlers and Centamin hasn’t so far to travel before reaching consideration for the FTSE100 (I wish!) so there is the world of difference between the two. But Ariana has been a long-term tip for me, joined by Centamin this Christmas...
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated emphasising “record gross quarterly income of US$12.78 million… gross income for the year is US$45.1 million from production of 27,985 ounces of gold, exceeding its full year production guidance of 25,000 ounces”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce the receipt of due diligence drilling results by Proccea Construction Co. and the proposed partner on the Salinbas gold project in Turkey” – this is in relation to a potentially exciting deal to partially monetise Salinbas and the Red Rabbit project…
AIM-listed Turkish gold-miner Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced that due diligence regarding its proposed part-sale of the Kiziltepe and Salinbas gold projects for $30 million is still underway, and that the parties have agreed a one month extension to complete due diligence. So the good news is that the deal is still on, but we will have to wait another month before it is confirmed (or not!)...
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated including MD Kerim Sener emphasising results which “demonstrate that the sampled areas of outcropping mineralised jasperoid are typically higher grade than the overall resource. Some of these results are exceptional, such as 18.2m @ 5.03 g/t Au, suggesting that there is an opportunity to identify several rich zones of structurally-controlled mineralisation within the orebody as a whole, and that these higher-grade areas are likely to be encountered from surface to a depth of 10-20m below surface”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce its preliminary production results for the quarter ended 31 December 2019” – and also a “strong start” to this year…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced drilling results which it emphasises “demonstrate the continuity of the Arzu South mineralised structure at depth which may form the basis for establishing an underground mineral resource”…
AIM-listed Turkish gold-miner Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced promising drilling results from Arzu South, one of the feeder sites for its joint venture Kiziltepe production plant. In short, it looks as though head honcho Kerim Sener is fairly convinced that an underground operation may be viable. Further, we are told that the resource estimate for Kiziltepe is due to be revised during Q1 next year with a view to extending the formal mine life beyond the current eight years...
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced a Memorandum of Understanding which “proposes a series of interlinked transactions which will enable the company partially to monetise its successful development of the Kiziltepe Mine… and its earlier-stage Salinbas gold project”…
All of a sudden the talk with AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) is no longer about placings, but big payouts as out of left field yesterday came an announcement that things have suddenly hotted up for its gold projects in Turkey: on the table are proposals to sell part of its Salinbas and Kiziltepe/Red Rabbit projects and for it to bag $30 million – but if the proposal goes through Ariana will still be left with 23.5% of the combined outfits. It is perhaps too early for the party poppers, as there are plenty of hoops to jump through ahead but by the end of February we should know whether Kerim Sener has pulled off a storming deal...
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce” operating results for the quarter ended 30th September for its 50% owned Kiziltepe mine, stating the results see it “on track to achieve annual production guidance of 25,000 ounces of gold”…
My pal, Liverpool’s top share blogger, Doc Holiday calls many shares correctly but his latest twitter call on Standard listed Chesterfield Resources (CHF), below, is bonkers. He is ‘avin’ a Turkish when he claims that the shares, now 3p-3.5p could be trading at 15-20p. Let me explain…
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce recent resource drilling results” – with it emphasising the potential for “a significant positive impact on the life of mine and the future economics of the operation”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) “is pleased to announce its preliminary production results for the quarter ended 30 September 2019” – and the shares have currently responded slightly higher, back above 2p to buy…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has followed recent half-year results with its Ardala operational licence being renewed for 5 years, with the operating permit increased in area substantially…
In February we banked big profits on Ariana Resources (AAU) with the shares at around 2p, noting longer-term risk/reward still looked favourable including the macro backdrop seeing us bullish on the gold price but that it had met our short-term purposes. The gold price was then just over $1,300 per ounce and is currently comfortably above $1,500 per ounce yet the shares are available to buy at still 2.3p – and so…
AIM-listed Turkish gold miner Ariana Resources (AAU) has had a raft of good news lately – the biggest seems to me to be the resurgent strength of the yellow metal: last seen its price was through the apparently all-important $1350 per oz level, although only time will tell whether that proves a sustainable move or another false dawn in a long line of false dawns. We have also had full year results for 2018 and drilling results from Kizilcukur all amounting to a rise in the share price to 2.1p. Having finished my own top-slicing, I can now proudly say strong hold as we look forward to a string of developments.
AIM-listed Turkish gold producer Ariana (AAU) has announced a positive update this morning regarding its satellite prospects around the Kiziltepe gold plant and at Salinbas on the other side of the country. The news has gone down well, with the market pushing the shares back towards the 2p mark in response...
AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) told us on 14 January, as it reported Q4 and full year production from its joint venture gold plant at Kiziltepe in Turkey, that it would release full results for the period by early February and I’m really looking forward to that...
Kizilcukur development update, including that “bulk sampling results demonstrate that the Kizilcukur deposit has the capacity to act as a source of high-grade satellite feed to the Kiziltepe processing plant”, and “Share Buy-Back: Update” announcements from Ariana Resources (AAU)...
A production update from Ariana Resources (AAU) emphasising “gold production exceeds 2018 guidance by 36%”…not bad but there is better news still
AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) has rather surprised with an announcement that it bought back 4.5 million shares to place into treasury. The message from this is pretty clear!
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated that a drilling programme is to commence imminently at Kizilcukur, “with the objective of defining a high-grade zone amenable to open-pit mining”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has emphasised “excellent exploration results” at its wholly-owned Salinbas project, with it “confident that the testing of some of these targets with drilling will lead to the identification and definition of further resources within the project area”…
Panmure Gordon is house broker to AIM-listed Turkish gold miner Ariana Resources (AAU) and is therefore not impartial – so you can takes its latest musings on Ariana with a pinch of salt if you wish. However, with the shares at 1.4p Panmure has upped its price target from 2.75p to 2.82p in the wake of Ariana’s Q3 numbers. Naturally, with a boat-load of this stock myself (so I'm not impartial either) and a target of at least 2p, I think Panmure are complete geniuses...
Following positive Kiziltepe quarterly results earlier this week, now “Director/PDMR Shareholding” and “Corporate Events” announcements from Ariana Resources (AAU)…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated on quarterly operations from its 50% owned Kiziltepe mine, including “we are now well on track to exceed our production guidance for the year”…
Early this week we wrote positively on Q3 preliminary production results from Ariana Resources (AAU), concluding that the current production potential and clear exploration potential together with a now rising gold price made it look like a nil brainer at the then 1.25p offer price. Now an “Excellent results from Salinbas” announcement…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced preliminary Q3 production results showing another quarterly record and including “our production guidance for the year is now likely to be exceeded by some margin”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced results for the first half of 2018, including emphasising “production for the year is expected to exceed initial expectations in the second half” and “we are now in the process of committing to a 4,000m RC and diamond drilling programme across certain projects during the remaining 2018 through to 2019 period”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced that, having recently completed a soil sampling programme at its Ivrindi project, “seven new highly anomalous targets (exceeding 1,000ppm As) were identified within the Ivrindi tenement. Five of the newly identified targets are semi-contiguous over 1.3km and directly along strike of the main mineralised structure at the Kinik prospect, suggesting that the mineralisation continues east of the historic easternmost drill hole”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated on performance from the Kiziltepe mine joint venture, emphasising “strong operational cash flow” and “we remain fully on track to deliver on our production guidance for the year”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced quarter ended 30th June preliminary production results from its Kiziltepe joint venture, including the company’s Managing Director Kerim Sener emphasising “the results of the past quarter are our best to date, outperforming overall quarterly feasibility-study expectations by 92%”…
AIM-listed Turkish gold producer and explorer Ariana Resources (AAU) announced its second quarter production numbers from its JV Kiziltepe mine this morning, and the numbers blew me away. With an annual target of 20,000 oz of gold production, it achieved 7,171 oz – a 47% increase quarter on quarter.
Ariana Resources (AAU) says that it “is pleased to announce a Joint Ore Reserves Committee Exploration Target for its Salinbas gold project… of up to 2.7Moz gold and 16.1Moz silver established in the Salinbas area, excluding current JORC Indicated and Inferred Resources of c.1Moz gold”. So what is such an ‘exploration target’ and what does it mean here?
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced latest work at its 100% owned Kizilcukur project “continues to highlight the potential for the project to become a satellite source of ore for the Kiziltepe mine”…
An announcement from Ariana Resources (AAU) emphasises “significant resource increase at Kepez prospect” (part of the 50% owned Red Rabbit joint venture) and includes “in addition, we believe there is scope to enhance this resource further”…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced increased production and sales and that “due to the strong operational cash flow from Kiziltepe, we have been receiving intercompany loan repayments from the JV”…
AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) released its quarterly report this morning for its joint venture mine at Kiziltepe in western Turkey. On the face of it the numbers were again good, although we had prior warning of that back on 16 April when the company released a preliminary production report for Q1. Today’s report fleshed that out a little.
At UK Investor Show there were six Dragon's Den sessions. As a result of each £3,000 of my real money was invested after each dragon picked one of the 5 companies doing an elevator pitch. In session one the Dragons were me ( Tom Winnifrith), Nigel Wray and Steve Moore. The companies pitching were: Botswana Diamonds, Gallileo Resources, Bluebird Merchant Ventures, Ariana Resources and R4E.
Kerim Sener is the founder and CEO of AIM listed gold producer and explorer Ariana Resources (AAU). He is one of the nicest and most honest guys on the market and I think Ariana shares are cheap. To see what he had to say at the UK Investor Show 2018 watch the video below. Enjoy!
I went with a shopping list of companies I wanted to speak to, and to find something which might prove a worthwhile investment – that, alongside chairing one session, a cameo appearance in another, a meeting with the Global Shorting Conspiracy and a bit of time on the ShareProphets stand. My marks out of ten were about 6 or 7 – I didn’t get to see all the companies I wanted to but I think I gleaned some useful information. And I have my tip – although it is not a widows and orphans pick!
Less than a week to go to the UK Investor Show and it promises to be far and away the best yet. If you’ve not booked a ticket you’d better hurry up – they are running out fast. Lob in the promo code SP10 and you’ll get a freebie investor class ticket – you can’t say fairer than that! Looking down the list of companies present, I have already compiled a list of who I want to see and also what I am doing on the day.
Under promise and over deliver is what every adviser tells every company listing on AIM. One might say that Ariana (AAU) has not kept to that script with perfection since it listed all those years ago back in the black and white era. But as we move though 2018 with the 50% owned Red Rabbit mine now operational Ariana is doing what it should as we saw in a cracking operational update this week.
Previously writing on Ariana Resources (AAU) last month it was latest exploration initial results see it “very excited”… and more to come. Now we have a Further Gold Discovery at Salinbas announcement…
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced the completion of recent exploration across the ‘Hot Gold Corridor’ and within its 1 million ounce Salinbas gold project – and its “exploration team are very excited by these results”...
Maybe the target is a but on the full side but this is the house broker Beaufort talking so it is clearly not impartial. Its mining analyst, Sheldon, is a sensible fellow and the nine page report on Ariana Resources (AAU) is comprehensive. Just to keep Nigel Somerville happy...
Shares in Ariana Resources (AAU) have briefly exceeded 2p earlier this year, but are currently back below 1.5p despite a seemingly positive outlook for precious metals and a 50:50 joint venture in Turkey now an emerging producer - this week having already seen a production update from the company...
Declaration: We have tipped Ariana Resources (AAU) before, helping our readers to bank offer to bid gains of 72% in one year. This time we are looking for a far more rapid re-rating. Our readers at HotStockRockets enjoyed this tip at a 1.45p offer but the shares - at a 1.5p offer are still a buy. Here's why....
I am pretty much finished here in Greece as I explain in the podcast. And as such I start the journey home tomorrow to spend time in sun-drenched England with the Mrs, Joshua and - of course - Oakley, my utterly pampered three legged cat who is, I gather, now being given iced water to cope with the heat. In this podcast I look at Barclays (BARC), the SFO and the nature of fraud. I look at Thor Mining (THR) where events disgust me and at Ariana Resources (AAU) where I am dissapointed and less accepting than Nigel Somerville is.
I recently wrote a piece HERE expressing my surprise that the share price of Ariana Resources (AAU) had failed to react positively to good news, so it probably shouldn’t have come as a surprise that a decent update on its resource actually resulted in the share price closing slightly lower.
Given that the company is now producing gold, I’ve been somewhat surprised by the lacklustre response that the market has given Ariana Resources (AAU) since that news came.
In this video from the storming success that was the 2017 UK Investor Show, Michael de Villiers, Executive Chairman of Ariana Resources (AAU), is at the podium. And make sure that you keep April 21 2018 free for next year's UK Investor Show.
In this video from the storming success that was the 2017 UK Investor Show, in the 'Dragon's Den' companies have a 60 second pitch to the Pizza Hardman Darren Atwater, Tom Winnifrith and Steve Moore for three £1,000 investments. This fourth round features Big Sofa (BST), Ariana Resources (AAU), BMR Group (BMR), Versarien (VRS) and W Resources (WRES).
The column was delayed today as your humble correspondent recovers from yesterday's UK Investor Show, easily the biggest and best of the 15 years that Tom has been organising these things. This would be my tenth.
This is our fifteenth show and, I think, that this is the 6th that the Pizza Hardman Darren Atwater has been involved in. But at last he has agreed to make a main stage debut and it is not to talk about pizza. For what you may not know is that Darren is a trained journalist and, as those who read Notes From Underground every Sunday know quite a funny writer when he wants to be. And so he is on stage.
My father berates me angrily for pointing out what greedy. lazy overpaid bastards the teachers are as we celebrate another bumper results day for the mickey mouse tests that are GCSE's. It will get worse when my Guardian reading sisters (Doctor & Social worker) arrive. Away from that I look at Molins (MLIN), African Potash (FRAUD), Strat Aero (JOKE), Ariana Resources (AAU) a good company and Arian Silver (AGQ) a dog with fleas.
I start by looking at the collapse of Crowdmix and how it so remoinds me of 2001 and what is says about the tech bubble, someting that is very much on my mind right now, as you can see HERE. Then I look forward to tomorrow in Shipston but more imprtantly to the demise, later today, of Worthington (WRN). I cover Ariana Resources (AAU) where I am cross and puzzled, Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) - how is the placing going Belfort? - Weatherley (WTI) and Ferrum Crescent (FCR)
Today I plunged into the wildest parts of the land at the Greek Hovel. In the far corner the olive trees are immersed in frigana, long grass and bushes. If I was a snake that is where I'd live. No question. Tentatively I plunged in to prune but I looked nervously around me every step of the way. There are some areas where the plants are just so dense that I don't dare head in. I will need to call fearless George the Albanian to "assist me" with those. Or maybe I tackle them in December when the snakes are hibernating? Anyhow, as I pruned I thought of all those AIM CEOs sitting at their desks in London, earning vast salaries for shuffling paper around.
The fourth Dragon's Den session at UK Investor show saw myself (Tom Winnifrith), Brian Kinane and Steve Moore each invest £1,000 in shares. Our choice of where to invest was ValiRx (VAL), Jubilee Platinum (JLP), Kibo Mining (KIBO) or Ariana Resources (AAU). Enjoy.
I believe shares in Ariana Resources (AAU) are cheap and am happy to hold. Indeed we bought more after the UK Investor show. See what you think as Kerim Sener presents.
HotStockRockets predicts a bright future for Ariana’Resources (AAU) share price, despite recently telling readers to take profits, the hot share tippers expect Ariana to reach 2p or thereabouts leading up to and around the time of Ariana’s first pour of production in the second half of this year. That is too cautious, perhaps why I know TW has not sold his personal holding!
Our site is about short term movements and so oddly - having tipped Ariana (AAU) at a 0.9p offer we advised banking gains at 1.55p to sell. An almost 70% offer to bid gain is not too shabby is it?
Gold seems to be in an uptrend so maybe it is time to get a bit of exposure to the gold sector once more? But how? We adsked ten writers connected to this site and/or speaking at UK Investor show on Saturday if they had to bet the ranch on one stock what would it be?
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated on an “increasingly active” rate of mine construction and its target for production in the second half of 2016.
The patient are now being rewarded. Shares in Ariana Resources (AAU) are now 1.1p-1.25p so well up on our tip price but there is no rush to sell, this is only just starting to get going. There was news Thursday.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has followed a recent announcement of a doubling of the resource estimate for its Kizilcukur project with news that a “recent drilling programme at Kepez West has confirmed the presence of a significant mineralised system”.
The research note making this suggestion comes from the house broker so treat it with a bucket of salt. Having said that, mining analyst Sheldon Modeland is no idiot and I also happen to think that shares in gold junior Ariana Resources (AAU) are cheap and thus in that vein (pun geddit?)
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced drilling results supporting the potential for further mineralisation in the Arzu vein system of the Kiziltepe part of its Red Rabbit gold project joint venture and helping inform advanced scheduling before “open-pit mining currently planned to commence ahead of the summer”.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced drilling results “which demonstrate the potential of the Kizilcukur project to contain a resource that may become a higher-grade satellite operation to the Kiziltepe mine, which is in construction”

And now it is my friend Kerim Sener of Ariana Resources (AAU) presenting at Gold & Bears. For what its worth I reckon that its shares are very cheap. Enjoy

Shares in AIM-quoted Turkish gold and copper play Ariana Resources (AAU) have come off the boil since the company won permission from the authorities to proceed with its 232,000-oz. Kizilktepe project in the west of the country. Ariana is choosing the final mining contractor for the project and is negotiating on plant components with local suppliers, having secured a $33 million (£21 million) construction facility from Turkish banking group Turkiye Finans Katalim Bankasi, but its long out-of-favour shares, having rallied from a barely visible 0.75p to 1.35p last month, have fallen back to a price of 0.9p.
Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated investors on progress towards production at the Red Rabbit gold project in western Turkey, with the project “now clear to proceed in to construction”.

Kerim Sener of AIM listed Ariana Resources (AAU) popped into present at the new event organised by the Sith Lord Zak Mir last night.I have always liked Kerim and also think Ariana shares are cheap.Anyhow, here is a video of his presentation.
As it happens Tom is in London for non-work reasons on 22nd June (next Monday) and so has agreed to - in his words - wipe the floor with Zak Mir in a head to head debate that evening. "Charting is cobblers and Zak's tips are rubbish" is the motion for debate and Zak will offer up his top share tips for demolition on the day. You can book a ringside seat by emailing your name, address and phone number to zakandtom@shareprophets.com and there is more.

It’s been a busy few days for Ariana Resources (AAU), the Anglo-Turkish gold mine developer. A certain mining analyst who has the hump with Ariana, recently upgraded his assessment of the company from “Sell” to “Hold” following the news last week that Ariana had received its forestry permit approval, paving the way for the company to make the transition from exploration to producer. Within 12 months all being well, Ariana will become Turkey’s next gold producer.

Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced that it has received confirmation that the Prime Ministry in Turkey has formally approved its application for the Red Rabbit gold project and that the Department of Forestry & Water Affairs has approved permits subject to the payment of statutory fees.
Shares in long-term AIM dog Ariana Resources (AAU) have bounced strongly now that the company has finally received formal approval from the Turkish government to proceed with its flagship Red Rabbit gold and silver project, holding a currently estimated 475,000 oz. of gold equivalent in the west of the country. Though still 90% below their 2005 float price of 12p, Ariana shares at 1.19p are more than 50% up from a 0.75p 12-month low, following the formal approval by the Prime Minister’s office in Ankara of a crucial forestry permit for the project.
Like all small gold explorers Ariana Resources (AAU) has been a complete dog of an investment but at 0.95p to buy we think it will bounce and is a very attractive trade. And there are three reasons why.
Turkish gold explorer and AIM dog Ariana Resources (AAU) is talking to several ‘Turkish conglomerates’ about selling all or part of its jointly-owned Salinbas project in the country’s north-eastern Artvin Province, as the AIM-quoted company awaits delayed final permits for its $31 million (£21 million) Kiziltepe project holding an estimated 230,000 oz. in western Turkey. Managing director Kerim Sener says Ariana, with 49% of Salinbas, and its 51% project partner, Toronto-quoted Eldorado Gold, have been hawking Salinbas around for six months and held ‘preliminary discussions’ last week with a local company.
Ariana Resources (AAU), the Turkish focused near term gold miner yesterday announced the results of the scoping study for its 49% owned Salinbas JV gold project it is currently developing with Eldorado Gold (TSX:ELD). Essentially, Salinbas contains 648,900 ounces of gold, 493,300 ounces in the inferred category and 155,500 in the indicated category, the resource is JORC classified.
John Meyer does not hold back with a withering assessment of Ariana Resources. Today's morning mining note from John and his colleagues at SP Angel also covers Kefi and Solgold as well as a detailed macro view on the news that is shaping global mining and the AIM mining pond.
The Turkish mining sector has been growing steadily over the past ten years experiencing average year on year growth of 11%. The election of President Erdoğan on the 10th August this year provides certainty over the political direction of the country that has witnessed decent GDP growth of 5.2% each year on average between 2002 and 2011 and 4% growth in 2013.
Convicted felon Champagne Charlie Gibson round at prostitute researcher Edison reckons that Ariana Resources (AAU) shares – now 1.08p – are in fact worth at least 1.9p but possibly up to 2.67p. Okay, The Hon Charles may have a penchant for giving members of the working classes a damn good thrashing after he has driven back from the boozer totally sozzled but sometimes he is right. We tend to think that this may be one of those occasions. Hooray, champers and a spot of oik bashing all round.
Ariana Resources (AAU) was our ShareProphets share tip of the week at a 0.85p offer on 29th June. We predicted a 30% gain within weeks. The shares are now 1.1p bid which is a gain of 29%. Not bad eh? But we see upside of at least 25% more in the near term and so at a 1.25p offer we once again make it our share tip of the week. It is not too late to get on board.
Ariana Resources (AAU) was our ShareProphets share tip of the week at a 0.85p offer on 29th June - HERE. Today the shares are at 1.05-1.20 – not bad for a month. As we predicted it would the company now has full, non-dilutive, funding for its Red Rabbit gold project in Turkey – that was announced yesterday. To understand how far this share will go watch this video of CEO Kerim Sener in action at the UK Investor Show.
I have been spending some time in Turkey recently, visiting a place called Gaziantep, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Just 6o miles from Aleppo in Syria, Gaziantep is Turkey’s industrial powerhouse, its sixth most populous city and if you want to really experience what it is like doing business in Turkey, you just have to visit Gaziantep, least of which you experience some of the best baklava in the world.
Dr. Kerim Sener, the mild-spoken geologist who runs Turkish gold hopeful Ariana Resources (AAU), is a patient man -- and the performance of his company’s shares since its AIM float in 2005 has tried the patience of many of its investors. He is now celebrating the award by the Ankara government of a range of fiscal incentives, estimated by Ariana to be worth more than $2 million (£1.2 million), as the company heads towards the long-awaited start of production in 2015 at a targeted annual rate of 21,000 oz. a year at Kiziltepe, a key part of its Red Rabbit gold and silver project in western Turkey.
Like most gold juniors Ariana Resources (AAU) has suffered a terrible few years in share price terms. The share price is down from 6.5p less than three years ago but a lot is changing. Now is the time to buy in. Why
Ariana Resources (AAU) is not a company well known for its ability to keep deadlines. First scheduled production at the company’s Red Rabbit gold-silver project in western Turkey has been delayed several times over the years, but Ariana now claims it expects to reach this goal in H1 2015. Patience is bound to be wearing thin among long term shareholders, as they’ve watched the stock drift lower. The share price has been further restrained since last summer, after Ariana entered into an Equity Swap with Lanstead Capital. However, with new drilling exploration targets defined at Kiziltepe (part of Red Rabbit) and the mine commissioning process plodding along, is it time look at this stock as a medium term buy?
Direct from the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre a video featuring a UK Investor Show 2014 presentation by Kerim Sener of gold company Ariana Resources (AAU)
Michael Spriggs, the chairman of Ariana Resources (AAU), should be sent to bed without any supper! This morning Ariana updated the market about its equity swap with Lanstead Capital. This complicated deal is a variation on the SEDA arrangements AIM investors have come to know and love.
