BREAKING: The FCA Bottles it: Standard Listed frauds will not need an advisor after all & can "carry on robbing"

Oh dear, oh dear. The FCA had the chance to clean up the sewer that is the Standard List by forcing all companies to retain a regulated advisor, rather as AIM Companies have to retain a Nomad. Fearing losing its license a Nomad should, in theory, stop companies telling outright lies or committing fraud, as happens all too often on the Standard list. But a consultation paper CP23/31 shows that the woke warriors at the FCA have bottled it and thus will allow investors to carry on getting screwed.

UK Markets Struggling – Due To Tax, Or Is There Another Contributory Explanation?

Writing in The Telegraph today, Charles Hall – the head if investment research at Peel Hunt – reckons that tax cuts are needed to get the UK economy out of third gear. He bemoans the fact that investors are pulling away from UK markets and suggests that bold tax moves could help get individuals investing again. How gay is your stockbroker? Champagne fuelled Diversity gala awards announced for YOU to pay for

My late uncle (by marriage) Richard would be turning in his grave. When he was at Rathbones his job was to manage money which he did well.  That was notwithstanding the fact that he was white, straight, Eton and Oxford educated and that his family originally made its money (400 years ago) from the slave trade. I doubt that with that background he’s last five minutes at Rathbones today notwithstanding him being very good at his job.
