My friend Gabriel Grego has, along with a stack of other bears, been hit by a law suit from a biotech company he has taken on, Cassava (SAVA). Gabriel is too much of a gent to steal my catchphrase “see you in Court bitchez” but he says so in rather more gentle words. As my old pal Evil Knievil once noted “legal action is not an invitation to go short but an obligation.”
When I started exposing the fraud at Zoetic, now Chill Brands (CHLL) the shares were 76p. They are now 2.4p and, FWIW, running out of cash again so a sell. The other side fought hard. Seth Freedman - who had harassed Harvey Weinstein's victims for Harvey - was engaged by a shareholder to threaten, menace and harass me and also two other writers here and a PR girl who is known to be a friend of mine. Shame on Freedman and those who defend him like Evil Knievil. I was not bullied into silence and so, after the massive Worthington vindication earlier, here is another one a, a letter from the Financial Reporting Council.I complained to it about Chill's accounts. Hey presto, the FRC took action and - as you can see below - forced Chill to restate.
I start with some reflections on the family and World War One. Then, it is onto Optibiotix (OPTI), and misguided suggestions that regime change is needed. Finally, I reflect on Evil Knievil's catchphrase, with reference to Cineworld (CINE) and, more especially, Shield Therapeutics (STX).
Since my last expose of the demining state of affairs at Lombard Capital (LCAP), things have gone from bad to worse. But now, enter stage left a man who was once the 57th richest person in Britain (or not), but then turned out to be a fraudster and was sent to the slammer. It gets better….
You should never mind a bit of hindsight from the 0.001% of people who did something a bit bonkers and made a fortune. I guess I should have theoretically invested a couple of thousand quid in bitcoin eight or ten years ago and would now look like a genius. Whilst I am sure there are a few people who have made themselves absolute fortunes this way, I reckon 99% of people who did buy a few bitcoin back then, probably did not make much money (even if they could log into their electronic link successfully). Famously I sold my ASOS (ASC) shares a gazillion years ago after doubling my money, which was not very smart from the perspective of where the shares ended up fifteen years or so later. I am still living and learning 26 years into my actual investment life. And that brings me back to Diageo (DGE) which had its latest numbers last Thursday…
Shares in The Hut Group, THG plc (THG), listed at 500p in September 2020, then zoomed to 800p but now trade below 200p. Even so this business is still valued by the market at £2.2 billion.
Tom’s almost-daily podcast remains the cornerstone of ShareProphets, always racking up in the top of the most popular items on the site. From the Welsh to Greek hovels, to the salty language, to the copious amonts of Ouzo and ultimately trenchant analysis of stocks, here are the 25 Bearcasts that ShareProphets members had on their podcast players.
Evil Knievil: “the best time to kick a man is when he is down.” The great bear raider is correct, especially in these crazy times when so many frauds or near bankrupts seem able to defy gravity as the believers still belief and continue to BOTFD, so providing share price support. But in some cases even the believers are starting to smell the coffee.
In today’s podcast I look at Vast Resources (VAST) and why you should read an RNS closely and at Supply@ME Capital (SYME) as I get my dates confused and so, it seems, does it. I consider Eurasia Mining (EUA) – surely a statement needed. I look at Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and at Amigo (AMGO) where surely even Evil must concede defeat at the hands of the FCA on whose side I am on, in this matter at least.
‘The best time to kick a man is when he is down’ is a quote from my friend the bear raider Simon Cawkwell, aka Evil Knievil. It is not a reference to individuals who have fallen on bad times for Cawkwell is, sometimes, not that uncharitable, but to shares in companies hitting new lows.
Another day and another statement from the loan sharks at Amigo (AMGO), folks who – as a judge pointed out the other day – are A grade bullshitters in the league of Julie Meyer. Yet again, Amigo threatens folks, quite unnecessarily, with the spectre of insolvency. The company’s market update today is just plain disingenuous.
Being a bear over the past year has, as I have noted many times before, been painful. You expose a company for being a fraud and its shares go up. You reveal that it has lied to investors and…its shares go up. You demonstrate that it is trading poorly and is running out of cash, its shares dip but then, post an oversubscribed placing, start to roof it again. It is unnatural. But it is the way of life in the last blow off stages of a bull market.
So much for the spike in Amigo (AMGO) shares yesterday in the belief that the Court would agree to its plans to pay customers it had ripped off only very partial compensation. The FCA opposed the scheme since it sees those ripped off getting only partial redress while equity holders keep the rest of the cash stolen by Amigo. And the Court, it emerged this morning, agrees with the FCA and myself and Justice Mills slates Amigo. As for foul mouthed bear raider Evil Knievil…
Oh dear. What have I been accused of now? All is revealed in the photos below. I end by thanking you all as we are now at nearly £40,000 for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. Thanks to all who have donated. To those still to chip in, as we are just c£8,000 short, please do so HERE. Sunday’s training walk will be the most grim yet. In the podcast, I look at Amigo (AMGO), Evil Knievil’s “scum” comment, Hurricane Energy (HUR), Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and Novacyt (NCYT).
Shares in loan shark Amigo (AMGO) are down by 12% today to 12p on what appears to be, well what most certainly is, a regulatory setback. But one loyal shareholder, the infamous short seller Simon Cawkwell, aka Evil Knievil, is not deterred and tells me that the shares will still hit 20p and could even go to 30p. The setback first:
Today’s expose of Iconic (ICON) is shocking and shows that Dave Sefton is again getting shareholders in a PLC to takle the equity risk for his private ventures. I explain the pattern and what Damon Heath at Shard Capital needs to do about this on Monday. This has got to stop now. Then I look at the religious cult members Evil is tackling with his Tesla short and how it will play out. I start with my act of lockdown defiance today which has confifrmed to daughter Olaf what a boring old man I have become.
I refer to Elon Musk vs my friend Evil Knievil and so far, I am sad to report, the forces of light and truth, that is to say EK, are half a Bernie down and Tesla’s Elon is drowning in filthy lucre. I consider life in the year 2000 and today’s bull market madness. I look at Plutus Powergen (PPG), MyHealthChecked (MHC), Grafenia (GRA), BigDish (DISH) and Eurasia Mining (EUA asking if the regulators will ever force it to make a statement.
One of these days, folks are going to wake up and realise that it was all a dream, that prices they were paying for shares in some small caps in these early days of January 2021 were plain bonkers. You may think you know better but some of us old fools have seen it all before.
So says my good pal, the infamous bear raider Evil Knievil, and he is right. You and I look at a high flying stock where the valuation is insane but where if we go short the valuation can easily go to double insane before gravity kicks in. Especially in fevered times such as those we live in, kicking a man when he is standing strong is not such a smart move.
Evil Knievil always used to say that the best time to kick a man is when he is down. And so I return to AIM-listed jam-tomorrow, next year, never investment company Tern plc (TERN) where I see that the shares are once again down.
Last week I demonstrated beyond any doubt that Verditek (VDTK) had deliberately lied to investors to raise bailout funding as you can see HERE. But it is not alone… welcome to the sordid world of Mike Walters, aka Old Mother Walters. He was once my idol.
The great show is almost upon us. You can still book tickets HERE and we will be upo all night processing. If you have booked but not received a ticket pester Darren on editorial@shareProphets.com . The videos interviews of 30 CEOs with me, six share tips from each of our writers and two dozen book reviews are up all day. But on the main stages and in the experts room speakers come on one by one so to plan your day, here is the quite amazing schedule. You really want to book a seat if you have not already. Remember all content will be up until Christmas but the chat rooms to engage with speakers are up just for the show itself. so BOOK HERE
I have now created more than 60 hours of video for TOMORROW’S event, what may be the only big investor show in Britain this year, and I cannot tell you how proud of what has emerged. We lead with some of the biggest names in investment presenting and/or facing a grilling from me. But there are also tipsters full of ideas long and short and 30 PLC CEOs facing the same grilling. I was impressed by many of them but one stood out…
If you have not bought a ticket for the greatest ever investor show held in Britain, this Saturday May 9, I suppose the answer is YES!. Congratulations! You are a genius. The best short sellers in the US and the UK have no guidance for you on how to spot disasters to either short or just to avoid, have nothing to teach you and you don’t want to hear any of their ideas as you know better. I bow to your wisdom.
If you have not bought a ticket for the greatest ever investor show held in Britain I suppose the answer is yes. Congratulations! You are a genius
I have been organising investor shows for almost two decade but on Saturday May 9, I have assembled the most amazing line-up of my career and am bringing them direct to you in your living room. Some of the stars will do a formal presentation, most will face me in two way interview.
The Coronavirus lockdown has meant the two big investor conferences have been postponed. But as a one-off alternative I have assembled the greatest ever speaker line-up for British Investor Show – welcome to the ShareProphets Shares Conference, a true online extravaganza on May 9. From both the UK and US some of the biggest names in investment will be telling you what they are buying, selling, shorting or avoiding. There are so many stars we need two main stages where you can hear:
Fear not you do not need to break lockdown. The event is online and for £9.99 you get access to a line up of stars of the investment world never seen before at a UK show. It really is all star. Carson Block, Gabriel Grego, Mark Slater, Jim Mellon, Evil Knievil, Vin Murria, Peter Hambro, Sam Antar, Adam Reynolds, Luke Johnson, me, Chris Bailey, Dom Frisby, Paul Jourdan, James Delingpole, Malcolm Burne, Chris Bailey, all the team here at ShareProphets, Matt Earl, Lucian Miers, Peter Hambro, the list goes on. As well as the star speakers there is also the Sith Lord Zak Mir and 30 PLC CEOs will also present. Doors open at 8.30 AM amd there will be chatrooms to engage with many of the speakers and each other open all day. And your ticket will give you access to all the videos right up until Christmas. The booking section of the site is secure ( see the padlock is present) and you can book your seats now & get more show details HERE
Excluding ShareProphets Radio 27, the most read non-Tom article this week is Imperial Brands & Royal Dutch Shell - tell us about the 'd' word (please) by Chris Bailey, at number four or number 11 including Bearcasts.
I swear i am not joking. I discuss my life with Evil (no, Mt BBM we are not gay lovers, stop sniggering at the back) and his remarkable macro view. I also reveal I have a treat for you all, keep May 8 in your diaries! In terms of stocks I look at the scandalous flouting of almost every rule by AIM Casino posterboy Conroy Gold & Natural Resources (CGNR) and the wider issue that the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation will do SFA about. I look at Burford (BUR) and more vindication for my pal Carson Block of Muddy Waters, at Carnival (CCL) - sorry Three Brains - and at Coro Energy (CORO) where the curse of James "Dracula" Parsons strikes again.
On a daily basis, shareholders in Versarien (VRS) continue to make the most defamatory of allegations against myself and other critics. ADVFN (AFN) occasionally removes a post but seems reluctant to ban these halfwits defaming in defence of a fraud, so they just reoffend.
TW Note: Evil was a bull of this shite at 130p at which point I called him out. The shares are now 24p, Cawky has been long and wrong for far too long. Back to Tim...
For reasons explained in the podcast my walk up into the mountains is postponed until Saturday. So the suffering is delayed. Don't delay with a donation to Woodlarks HERE. In the bearcast itself I look at Evil Knievil's World Cup gambles and who he is backing in the final, at a potentially horrid spat at Bacanora (BCN) which looks set to get very nasty indeed, into murky share deals at Cabot Energy (CAB) - a massive scandal in the making and in real detail at the Telit (TCM) disposal announced today. The numbers just do not stack up.
Oh dear. Poor old Evil Knievil who has been a perma bull of Watchstone (WTG), the former Quenron (QPP), loftily dismissing claims by Slater & Gordon for £637 million and my analysis as not worth the paper they were writen on. Oh how bullish was the great man, at 141p, just a few weeks ago as he posted his bon mots on a Bulletin Board. The shares have duly plunged to just 97.5p so costing EK and his fellow BB Morons a good packet. Poor Evil. Poor BB Morons.
Here I am in Shipston with my father who enjoys bearcasts if they mention him so just for that reason I record again. His faux political correctness is exposed by the issue of coverage of women's cricket in The Guardian - the dreadful newspaper he has delivered to try to fool my family of public sector "working" lefties that he is one of them. In terms of the market I look at Carillion (CLLN) and 88 Energy (88E). Shares in both companies are collapsing today and I look at why and at what lessons folks should be learning. You could so easily have avoided losing money on both. Please note Malcolm Stacey and other Ocado (OCDO) bulls, lesson one on Carillion is for you. I also make it clear that while he may have some of the attributes of a Bulletin Board Moron as he showed HERE, Evil Knievil is not, in fact, a BBM, I was just joshing him when I suggested otherwise. En passant I look at MySquar (MYSQ) and explain why today's exposes HERE and HERE may refer to events a long time ago but are pertinent.
Suffice to say the big winners from this transaction are the old gang, the associates of the King of the fraudsters Robert Simon Terry, not shareholders in Watchstone (WTG), Quindell (QPP) as was. But its remiss of the new team at Quenron not to keep you updated. So let me assist.
There was no contest this week (TW - you are talking bollocks. Again). The winner was as clear as failure as that guy who jumped over the Snake River Canyon.
I guess if you write for a website that makes the Official Jimmy Saville Fan Club website seem well read and popular, it forces one to also post on Bulletin Boards in order that your words of wisdom/attempts to ramp your flagging portfolio reach an audience of more than three men and a dog. Speaking of dogs - Watchstone (WTG) is stock which bear raider turned Bulletin Board Moron Evil Knievil has long argued is worth 500p. The shares are now 140p ( and falling) after yesterday's massive revelations from me HERE.
In this video from the storming success that was the 2017 UK Investor Show, Tom Winnifrith and Evil Knievil discuss 30 years of lawyer's letters and fighting fraud. And make sure that you keep April 21 2018 free for next year's UK Investor Show.
The last postal mailing of tickets for THE investor event of the year is Thursday Morning. So to grab your seat and join 3,000 others who want to make money from shares ACT NOW!
After Saturday's debacle in Islington, there is clearly just 1 major event to go to for those who want to make money from shares - UK Investor Show. To meet more than 120 growth companies and to hear the most amazing cast of speakers you have to be there on April 1 at the QE2 Centre in London. There is just one show to go to so BOOK NOW and join 3,000 other people who want to make money from shares.
You might hate bear raiders. You might think that short selling is unethical. But what you cannot argue with is that ignoring men such as Evil Knievil when they sniff out a fraud or accounting malpractice will cost you a packet. At last year's UK Investor Show the Country's top bears did a detailed presention on AIM darling Avanti Communications, one of the AIM companies most beloved by professional fund managers. Since that warning Avanti shares have collapsed by more than 90%. This year the bears have new targets.
Normally Nigel Wray turns up at UK Investor, talks and leaves. This year - our 15th anniversary party - is different. He will be there from start to finish and when not on stage that opens up a unique opportunity for those attending on April 1. For more than 40 years, Nigel , the man dubbed Britain's Buffett, has been a stockmarket legend for his ability to generate stellar returns not by wild gambling on mining punts or biotech start ups but by rigid value investing. Like the Original Buffett, the Sage of Omaha, Wray is a bottom up value investor who buys and holds. Would you like to know what he thinks is the cheapest share in London? Would you like a one to one chat with Nigel?
Time really is running out if you want to attend what is the country's biggest and most exciting one day event for those who are serious about making money from shares. UK Investor Show will be having a 15th birthday party on April 1 (no kidding) in Westminster, London. But as of today fewer than 400 of the 3,000 tickets are unallocated. So if you want to attend book one NOW!
April 1 really is the date for the UK Investor Show which is now the 15th time that Nigel Wray, aka Britain's Buffett, and I have been involved in staging such an event. So it is a birthday party as well. And with MBN, the incredibly well regarded events management firm owned by Nigel's daughter Lucy, now in charge this will be a knockout event. Indeed here are more than 150 reasons why anyone serious about making money from shares must be there!
After the Slater & Gordon (SGH) bearcast earlier you may have thought that I was sleeping off half a bottle of ouzo. Au contraire, I have been touring the Mani with George the Architect, the man who helped me to expose InternetQ last year. We went past Killers Gorge. Why can't you kill unsuitable boyfriends of your daughter or sister any more? As my daughter prepares to turn 16 this year I sadly conclude that this is yet another example of political correctness gone mad. In terms of stocks I offer a couple of corrections on Tracsis (TRCS) after yesterday's bearcast then look at Xtract Resources (XTR), Ascent Resources (AST), FastForward (FFWD), the over ramped hype company with which my good friend Jim Mellon is involved, Cobham (COB), Infrastructure India (IIP) and also the fraud Cloudtag (CTAG). And I refer to a drooling Evil Knievil ref THIS ARTICLE.
I have stated repeatedly that AIM Bulletin Board darling Cloudtag (CTAG) is a fraud. It has repeatedly lied to investors to help it raise cash. But I have an offer and a challenge to its CEO Amit Ben Haim which is worth £5000 to Cloudtag.
If you have to do a tax return today is the last day to submit if you want to avoid a £100 fine. Last year I goofed. This year the admirable Mrs Evil Knievil of the fine firm of Cawkwells has worked wonders and the form has just gone in. I owe HMRC £2 which I am delighted to say has already been paid by Mrs C so we are all square! The Mrs went one better.
My old friend Evil Knievil is a man known for his bon mots and among his best is that "if a company threatens legal action it is not an invitation to short its shares but an obligation." As it happens, amid the bluster of the great man, there is hard evidence to back this up as a sensible strategy.
Following the example set by Paul Warwick the chairman of worthless penny stock Andalas (ADL) in starting a blog, Sir Ben Dover of AIM listed Global Mining Endeavours has decided to follow suit and like Paul promises to be candid in his approach. Blog number nineteen....
Not a lot of people know this but the middle name of Simon Cawkwell, aka Evil Knievil, is "Modesty". He is thus one of many people who has come up with a helpful suggestion on what to name my son born today - thank you to all of you for your good wishes. In today's podcast I look at Avanti Communications (AVN), Rosslyn Data Technologies (RDT), Levrett (LVRT) and Progility (PGY). I should get some sleep after being up all night but it is a very exciting day for us here. I will be back with a longer bearcast over the weekend.
I covered Pantheon Resources (PANR) twice on Monday in relation to Evil Knievil's dire trade HERE and in relation to its dire statement HERE. On iii shamed cash for copy tipster Malcolm Graham Wood has made the bull case for the shares. He is talking cock from start to finish and I take his comments apart one by one in this bonus podcast.
How do you lose money dealing on the "inside track" Ask bear raider Evil Knievil who has taken a monumental bath on Pantheon Resources (PANR) a company we again warn you about in bearcast today HERE.
There may not be a bearcast tomorrow. It is all down to the arrival of the Mrs as I explain. Meanwhile I look at Gulf Keystone (GKP) and XCite (XEL). The best time to kick a man is when he is down. So says Evil Knievil. And that applies to these two oilers where events are moving fast and the shares are near enough certs to be toast already. CIC Gold (CICG) is in an even worse state and today's RNS is a shambles. The curse of boy scout mugger Stuart Bromley strikes again. It is doomed. Then I discuss what, if anything, is wrong at TrakM8 (TRAK). Then a question raised by the share price move on Friday at ADVFN (AFN).
And so the four bears wandered onto stage for the final presentation at UK Investor Show. We majored in on why Avanti Communications (AVN) was a 0p stock but we covered many other stocks besides. Enjoy
Gold seems to be in an uptrend so maybe it is time to get a bit of exposure to the gold sector once more? But how? We adsked ten writers connected to this site and/or speaking at UK Investor show on Saturday if they had to bet the ranch on one stock what would it be?
This weekend is all about the London Marathon but in just SIX DAYS time a galaxy of legendary investors will be speaking at UK Investor Show. This is not a platform for share rampers based in dodgy offshore tax havens but a chance to hear men and woman who are simply the best. Make sure you have the date in your diary - Saturday April 30 and this is the LAST CHANCE to grab a complimentary ticket.
"Nomad Strand Hanson, Broker Mirabaud, mug punter Evil Knievil, aka Simon Cawkwell, dodgy Russians Mediotor, IR ramper John Heilshorn, we have beaten them all, we have beaten them all!. Phorm PLC, can you hear me? Phorm PLC ... your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!"
You see a share price falling despite your ramping what do you do if you are Jabba The Hutt, David Lenigas, the unnacceptable face of capitalism? You open up your laptop on your 100 foot yacht in the Monaco tax haven and tweet out some lies. David Lenigas you are a liar. I invite you to sue me for libel for calling you a liar. You will not because here is (more) slam dunk proof that you are a liar. Here are some lies you told about LGO Energy (LGO) - target price 0p - with the past 24 hours.
ShareProphets AIM-China Filthy Forty company Asian Citrus Holdings (ACHL) released its interims to Dec 2015 on Friday. They made grim reading as the effects of Huanglongbing disease, bad weather as well as frogs, locusts, Martians and any other plagues one might care to think of all took their toll. This must be the unluckiest company in orange growing history.
My only problem is that I have run out of ouzo. Call it poor Phorm (PHRM) but I am thus unable to celebrate the AIM Casino suspension of trading in shares in another POS company in the traditional manner. I shall have to make do with neat orange juice.
Warning: perhaps it is best not to play this podcast in front of the kids. On the agenda today I remember when Evil Knievil was a 3Dimmer - good investors accept that facts change, I note this in reference to MX Oil (MXO). I also discuss the folly of leaping to conclusions with reference to Falanx (FLX) and cover DQ Entertainment (DQE) and why Nomads are so skittish these days. Then it is on to Imaginatik (IMTK) and my old sparring partner the fraudster Rob Terry before I end up with a discussion of spraying ones todger and what to make of the situation at Plethora (PLE), the baby of my old friend Jim Mellon
For once I am ahead of the game with my tax return. Thanks to the fine firm of Cawkwells - that is to say the long suffering Mrs Evil Knievil, my forms are agreed and being submitted today. But the deadline is looming...
It is not a great day for the AIM Casino. First down PeerTV (PTV) and now Oxus Gold (OXS) has called in the administrators and Nomad SP Angel has quit. The shares have been suspended since it lost its spurious legal case in Uzbekistan and now the money has all gone.
Pantheon Resources (PANR) shares have plunged from 140p to just 90p since my pal the bear raider Evil Knievil bought 400,000 of them a couple of months ago - win some, lose some old boy! This is a mug punter fave but if I were a shareholder the question I would be asking is just how much cash is left in the kitty and when is the placing?
At the 18th April 2015 UK Investor Show, the top shorts of bears Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Matt Earl and Kevin Ashton were announced. As noted HERE, we're monitoring progress of those also having been identified as shorts by significant investment companies...
Evil Knievil sent me a snotty email on Watchstone (WTG) of which he is long. I think he is a bit in denial. And so to are some of our readers as they respond to perfectly good articles appearing here today by our new author Cynical Bear, notably on Xtract Resources (XTR) and Challenger Acquisitions (CHAL). All this is discussed in today's podcast.
And now the heavyweights..well Evil Knievil anyway. This was the penultimate presentation of the day from Gold & Bears, myself and Evil Knievil. Enjoy
How odd that two Greek companies represented by the same Nomad and Broker team of RBC and Canaccord should both make the same howling error in responding to allegations made by my good self and this website.
I am attracted to stunning women. My wife and, obviously, Cheryl Cole. Evil Knievil is attracted to fine wines. In fact to any wines. And it seems as if pouting ex Sefton Resources FD Raylene Whitford is attracted to overvalued cash strapped POS AIM listed oil Companies.
We have now had a few last minute return tickets become available for Gold & Bears on Saturday and you can get your hands on them today. We will email them out tonight. And with speakers from across the world lined up Saturday looks set to be explosive. The SuperBears 7 big name stocks to go to zero session with myself, Lucian Miers, Graham Neary and the Dark Destroyer Matt Earl is set to really get the lawyers excited!
As of today there are four seats left unbooked for the 2015 Gold & Bears Show on November 28 in London. . So book a free seat now for a fireworks event with Jim Mellon, Gabriele Grego (Globo’s nemesis), John Hempton, Sam Antar, Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Amanda, Dominic Frisby, 50 CEOs etc., etc. To get a free ticket for one of the last seats
Breaking news: We have a new speaker at Gold & Bears, Gabriel Grego the author of the report that exposed the Globo fraud is flying in from New York as a new headliner. This guy is good.
Globo (GBO) has responded to the report published last night by the wicked and evil global shorting conspiracy by saying that its shares will remain suspended until it can issue, what it terms, a full rebuttal of a report it says is false.
Last year my three part Christmas Carol series concluding on Christmas day featured the Quindell fraudster Rob Terry. In a prior year Evil Knievil featured. I was thinking about this year’s offering today but whose Christmas Carol will I be recounting?
Bear raider Evil Knievil yesterday announced that he had bought shares in Quindell (QPP) and claimed that the stock was worth 150-180p – his valuation is not that much different from that of the fraudster Rob Terry who has a 172p target. Both are talking complete and utter bollocks.
I am a long term and unapologetic bear of Globo (GBO) because the valuation just does not stack up. At 46p the market cap is £157 million. I cannot see free operating cashflow this year topping £10 million. I am not saying that this is a Norfolk just that the shares discount an awful lot of good news. They are overvalued. And…
At the 18th April 2015 UK Investor Show, the top shorts of bears Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Matt Earl and Kevin Ashton were announced. As noted HERE, we're monitoring progress of those also having been identified as shorts by significant investment companies...
Just why did Betfair move so sharply to Oxi! a few hours ago? Er there was a Gallup poll taken on Saturday and released to non insider dealers after the actual poll closed here in Greece. I caught the last voters turning up to have their say at my local polling station and then talked to the precinct captain for Nai.
Infamous bear raider Evil Knievil is long an oil stock. That stock being Madagascar Oil (MOIL). Knievil says that wider family interests now own around two million shares and he is thinking of adding to that holding.
Mitie (MTO) is now the biggest short position of The UK's second best known bear raider (after Lucian Miers, natch) Evil Knievil and the fat man says that he is expecting a big win on Monday.
At the 18th April 2015 UK Investor Show, the top shorts of bears Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Matt Earl and Kevin Ashton were announced - watch the video HERE. As shown below (from the FCA's spreadsheet of short positions required to be disclosed to it), a number of their top selections have also been identified as shorts by significant investment companies. We'll monitor progress, but, as noted previously, investors may at least want to double check if they are on the other side of the trades...
The last minute intervention of free speech deniers and Nomad to POS Coms and Tungsten, Charles Stanley, deprived us of the great Kevin Ashton but the bear pit at UK Investor Show still went with a bang thanks to Lucian Miers, Matt Early, Evil Knievil and myself, Tom Winnifrith. Enjoy the video.
By popular demand it is back. As ever the rules are simple. Filthylucre and Bananabob cannot post their own comments on this website as entries as they are just too good. But any other comment on a Bulletin Board or twitter is eligible. The most ludicrous or idiotic statement wins.
Posting nearly 2,000 UK Investor Show tickets over the past week, I have marvelled at the wondeful place names that populate the UK. Names like Beehive Yard, Smock Alley West, Egg Pie Lane, Ynysmeudwy, and 123 Fake Street.
The bear raider Evil Knievil is of the opinion that The Tories should announce that jockey Tony McCoy be made a life peer before The Grand National for reasons that I do not quite understand. I assume that this is election pandering to the Upper Classes in the way that Nick Clegg tries to win the chav vote by taking a selfie with Joey Essex. But Knievil is not backing McCoy to win the National.
News of new speakers at the UK Investor Show including legendary fund manager Mark Slater has seen a surge in demand for seats for the show of the year on April 18. There are now fewer than 100 of the 2000 seats left for grabs so if you want to attend book your seat now at www.UKInvestorShow.com
Following confirmation that superstar fund manager Mark Slater is to headline the 2015 UK Investor Show on April 18 more than 85% of the 2000 tickets have now been booked so to make sure you get a seat book HERE NOW!
Infamous bear raider Evil Knievil has open a small “dipping a fat toe in the water” short position in AIM Casino listed Mar City (MAR) following the recent shocking profits warning and details of related party deals, as explained by Steve Moore HERE.
The final gold tickets went last week. There are now fewer than 500 of the 2000 £12 investor class seats left for the show of the year and at current rates they will be gone within weeks so book your seats TODAY for UK Investor Show 2015 and here are 5 reasons why – you can book HERE.
A principal reason why I have a bearish stance on Tungsten (TUNG) is down to the the forward curve for Bank of England (or for that matter that the FED or ECB) policy rate expectations.
I've sold short in Tungsten (TUNG) at 208p and here's why.
Pursuant to a series of downgrades over recent months to United Rentals (URI US, market cap $8.7 billion), I shorted a little Ashtead (AHT) - with a market cap of £5.5 billion. After all, one would imagine that those closer to home know the score.
Both of these stocks were Bulletin Board darlings and both will ultimately deliver either total or near total wipe-out for shareholders. It just struck me that they have other things in common. And the price action as death approaches is the most striking.
The infamous bear raider Evil Knievil says that he has now closed out his short positions in both Quindell (QPP) and Avanti Communications (AVN). He tells me “I may have made a mistake” but he has a neutral position. Both stocks, however, remain on his watch list and he says he may re-enter the fray and it will not be on the long tack. Both he insists are hugely overvalued but calling short term moves is hard.
The UK Investor Show is the UK’s top investor show and takes place on April 18th in Westminster. To grab your ticket you can book now HERE. The keynote talks include:
The two leading bear raiders in London, Lucian Miers and Evil Knievil do not always agree but right now both have Quindell (QPP) and Avanti Communications (AVN) as their largest two shorts.
Kevin Ashton was the analyst at Canaccord tasked with covering Quindell. When he handed in a note refusing to say buy or set a price target Rob Terry told Canaccord it would be fired as joint broker if it published it. So Ashston was fired. He is a feared analyst with a forensic mind and great integrity and he will now be speaking at the UK Investor show on April 18.
As we head into 2015, infamous bear raider Evil Knievil and I had a brief chat this morning about his top shorting ideas for 2015.
David Lenigas is tweeting his upset with James Parter for having suggested that Solo Oil (SOLO) is a sell and has suggested that Mr Parter is likely to be sacked. Let me make this 100% clear to my friend Mr Lenigas and to other CEOs out there who think that I sack anyone for having an opinion. I will NEVER do that.
Quindell is unravelling at a rate of knots. Once the biggest stock on AIM probably will not exist by the time of UK Investor on April 18 2015. And the man who exposed the lies and fraud was Tom Winnifrith. For his efforts he received bullying lawyers letters from Quindell and death threats from its shareholders. And that has spurred a special new session at UK Investor 2015.
Infamous bear raider Evil Knievil was the guest speaker at the ShareProphets seminar on 24 November and did not hold back with his views on the market, a stock that he views as a slam dunk short and Quindell whose boss Rob Terry was described as a fraud. The video of Evil can be viewed below.
Tomorrow I will be calling rock stars from across the bear community as we need to think of those less fortunate than ourselves. It is time to record our charity single… Feed the Morons. The message has gone out to Gotham City, Evil Knievil, Paul Scott, Lucian Miers, Paddington Bear, Matt Earl, John Hempton of Bronte, Sam Antar, Muddy Waters, Citron Research, Nigel Somerville, A Huntsman, Dan McCrum, Paul Murphy, Pizza hardman Darren Atwater, Cockney Rebel and Kevin Ashton. We gather tomorrow in Clerkenwell to raise money for those facing a bleak Christmas, Quindell staff and shareholders as we record Feed the Morons, Do they know it’s Christmas?.
We have had three attendee cancellations for the event on Monday evening – 24th November at Real Man in Clerkenwell. The free drinks kick off at 6 PM, there is free pizza plus presentations by Evil Knievil, Mirada, San Leon and Plastics Capital. So on a first come first served basis. If you want one of the last three seats email your name and postal address to Kathy@shareprophets.com
Infamous Bear Raider Evil Knievil will be speaking on 24th November at Real Man in Clerkenwell on the evening of Monday 24 November. Fancy hearing the great bear and some free booze and pizza?
Andy Frangos of MX Oil (MXO) gave a detailed presentation on Monday 10th November at the most recent ShareProphets seminar - a video of which is below. I served him up a couple of questions which, to his credit, he took with humour.
Obtala Resources (OBT) gave a detailed presentation on Monday 10th November at the most recent ShareProphets seminar - a video of whicjh is below.
In this podcast I start with a broad macro sweep following a chat with Evil Knievil earlier. The end of QE (pro tem), interest rates and how this will all affect equities and other asset classes. I then move on to some observations some general but some specific about Quindell, Fitbug, Monitise, Globo, blinkx and Independent Oil & Gas,
As the leaves start to turn brown you may not be thinking about next April but we are as we plan the biggest and best UK Investor Show ever. The speaker line-up gets more impressive by the day and already 90 of the 110 Growth companies attending have booked in – and I am delighted that there are a raft of new PLCs attending, and almost as delighted that some of those who attend every show are NOT attending!
At the weekend we updated the ShareProphets Bear Portfolio compiled by myself, Matt Earl, Lucian Miers and Evil Knievil. So far our average sell is down by 18.2% in just over three months. Better days lie ahead. But which of the ten stocks we expect to slump do readers think will crash most by Christmas. You said:
So far the bear portfolio of Matt Earl (the Dark Destroyer), Evil Knievil (the fat man), Lucian Miers (the Bard of the Boleyn) and Tom Winnifrith (the Sheriff of AIM) is down by an average of 18.2%. Today one stock leaves the portfolio (New World) having duly collapsed and in its stead goes African Mining (AMI) which will collapse. But which of our 10 shorts do you think will slump most by Christmas. The deadline for voting is midnight tonight as things are moving rapidly with at least one constituent.
Back in the summer, July 9, the 4 Bears sat down and compiled our top ten shorts for the summer. There has been one disaster – Concha (CHA) – but despite that an average loss (gain for us) of 18.2% per short is not bad. So where do we stand now?
As the Quenron (QPP) share price slips away losing more and more of the hard earned savings of the morons who have invested in this company which has demonstrably lied to its shareholders in a serial fashion, the morons response is sheer comedy genius. Today’s twitter moron of the week is Ron Clifton @CliftonPlace who is possibly the thickest of all the Quindell morons on twitter.
I have made it clear that I believe that even without an escalation of Ebola, the balance sheet weakness of African Minerals (AMI), the debt laden POS AIM Casino listed miner founded by convicted heroin dealer Frank Timis, will be its undoing. Today the company tried to put the best possible spin on pretty dismal interim results.
I have been goaded into looking into African Minerals (AMI) by Bulletin Board Morons laughing at Evil for being short given that the stock shot up by 47% yesterday. Evil went short at 20.5p the stock is now 25p (valuing African at c£85 million) and falling and I agree with him that the target is near as matters c0p. Here’s why.
The father of legendary bear raider Evil Knievil is not only the greatest living classical scholar but in his youth played rugby for Scotland (his mother being Scottish). Somewhere the athletic gene passed his 25 stone son by. George Cawkwell (the father) is, like his son, a NO supporter but feels incensed that as an Oxford resident he cannot vote in the referendum.
During my career I have had countless letters from companies threatening to sue me for libel. Bear raider Evil Knievil has had a good few too. I am not sure how Evil is doing but I have not yet lost a case. And have only once or twice caved by taking an article down. The behaviour of companies that resort to legal action is telling. And incidentaly those that have threatened me have nearly all, already, gone tits up.
A month ago myself, Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers and Matt Earl (the Dark Destroyer) agreed on a sort of joint top ten UK stocks to short for the summer. Since then the FTSE 100 has fallen by 8%. As you can see below our average fall is 10.51% so we are doing okay so far. Only two of the ten are up.
Infamous bear raider Evil Knievil believes that equity markets will have a poor next few months but his short portfolio is based on company specifics. In a conversation just now we discussed his biggest three short positions. And they are:
It seems as if the infamous bear raider is going soft in his old age as he has urged me to stop using a phrase I first coined “Bulletin Board Moron.” I am afraid that I am as likely to take advice from Evil Knievil on how I write my articles as I am on his handy tips for weight loss.
Ariana Resources (AAU) was our ShareProphets share tip of the week at a 0.85p offer on 29th June - HERE. Today the shares are at 1.05-1.20 – not bad for a month. As we predicted it would the company now has full, non-dilutive, funding for its Red Rabbit gold project in Turkey – that was announced yesterday. To understand how far this share will go watch this video of CEO Kerim Sener in action at the UK Investor Show.
Mothercare (MTC) shares are down by 10% to 234p today as Destiny Maternity formally pulled out of a bid approach. Quelle frigging surprise! The only question is how low the stock will fall? Ask the experts.
I have expressed my views clearly. Folks like Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Matt Earl, short sellers or bear raiders – do a very useful job for society in weeding out companies which might otherwise cause capital to be misallocated. I am a fan as you can see HERE. But do you agree?
Famed bear raider Evil Knievil has been greedily buying more shares in AIM listed Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG) in recent days. Greed and Evil are two words that are often found together. To understand why Evil is buying have a look at this video of CEO Kevin Foo presenting at the UK Investor show a couple of months ago.
Two weeks ago Evil Knievil, Matt Earl, Lucian Miers and I served up our top ten stocks to short this summer and why – HERE. Avanti Communications (AVN) has already done the decent thing and issued a profits warning. We asked our readers at the weekend to vote on which of the ten would be next And the results are:
We have 25 tickets for the UK’s top one day investor show on offer at a 40% discount for ShareProphets readers – that is either gold (normally £60) or investor class (normally £12) tickets. The show is of course UK Investor Show 2015 on April 18 in Westminster. And you need to book TODAY.
James Parter has tipped shares in Bushveld Minerals (BMN) to gain 150% today HERE so what is all the excitement about? To get a clie watch its CEO Fortune Mojapelo in video action.
I noted in a previous article HERE that Phorm (PHRM) was only a few weeks away from running out of cash and going tits up. Notwithstanding its $10 million fund raise in March it will be on its way to PLC heaven in mid-August unless some more mug punters like Evil Knievil are found to keep this fare going. I know that the company is telling a jam tomorrow story to investors right now. But before they fall for that ask Phorm about Brazil.
Ten days ago, Lucian Miers, Matt Earl (The Dark Destroyer), Evil Knievil and I served up our top ten shorts in London. One of them, Avanti Communications (AVN), has already done the decent thing and
The last time Evil Knievil backed this horse it was at 9-2 and he won £90,000. The legendary bear raider tells me that he has made £50,000 today and is full of the joys of life. I suspect that is a euphemism for a bit sloshed.
From the 2014 UK Investor Show a video featuring a presentation by Stephen Grimmer of Paragon Diamonds (PRG) where we sense that theaction is about to hot up...
Anyone who was at UK Investor 2014 knows that the Bears session (HERE) saw some great calls. And so ahead of a long sweaty summer I asked Evil Knievil, Matt Earl (The Dark Destroyer) and Lucian Miers for their top 5 shorts of the summer and for good measure I add in my own. Between us we have thus compiled the top ten stocks to short in London!
Until now bear raider Evil Knievil has been the highest profile supporter of Chinese gym shoe producer Naibu (NBU) arguing that on a PE of c1 and yielding 12% the shares were cheap. However I can reveal that he has seen the light and sold out completely.
Last week we asked readers to vote on which company they thought would be next to send a lawyer’s letter to myself, Tom Winnifrith. The readers have spoken clearly - exactly half of those taking part think that Quindell (QPP) is about to piss its shareholders cash away with a legal threat.
The Sheriff of AIM is feeling rather fragile today in the wake of the AIM Cesspit awards dinner. Do not expect a great deal of output from me today. I had a good time and think that others did too. The wine and beer flowed freely, Evil and Lucian Miers gave good talks and David Lenigas pitched in with his thoughts on Nomads. A brave Quindell (QPP) shareholder turned up and was teased a bit but took it well. But you want to know who won.
Vin Murria of Advanced Computer Software (ASW) is rightly regarded as the Queen of UK Tech and headed up the all star panel in our tech session at UK Investor 2014. Listen to her sage words before you consider investing in the next loss making, high flying, tech IPO. She is on blistering form in this video.
You may not like short sellers but the bear raider panel at the UK Investor Show 2014 called things right on a range of stocks from blinkx (BLNX), to Globo (GBO), to Quindell (QPP) as you can see in the video below. Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers and Matt Earl (The Dark Destroyer) have all promised to return for another main stage masterclass at UK Investor Show 2015 on April 18.
Tom Winnifrith had a great meeting with the AIM listed CEO he admires the most last week and discussed a range of issues relation to acquisitions. Yes, a bit of this relates to Quindell (QPP) but it is a more general discussion.
Mining guru Amanda Van Dyke is one of the 35 BIG name speakers already signed up for the 2015 UK Investor Show on April 18 in Westminster – if you have forgotten her 2014 tour de force appearance it can be found below. Among the other 50 investment superstars speaking are Ed Croft of Stockopedia, Nigel Wray, Vin Murria, Mark Slater, Ben Edelman, Tom Winnifrith, Brokerman Dan, Matt Earl, Lucian Miers, Evil Knievil and Dominic Frisby. Buy your ticket before midnight on Monday and you can do so at a 50% discount.
The guest list is "er interesting" - more than half a dozen of the more interesting AIM CEOs, two or three Nomads, at least one individual publicly censored by the FSA/FCA, a bunch of journalists, a sprinkling of PR birds and lots of food and booze. Yes it is the second annual AIM Cesspit awards dinner with talks by Evil Knievil and Lucian Miers. Fancy joining us?
This time I shall gain admittance! Naibu (NBU) has just confirmed in writing that I shall be allowed to attend as the representative of Evil Knievil who (for reasons that I cannot understand) is long of this stock. And I have a few questions for the board. For starters:
In the last days of March, AIM Cesspit listed Phorm (PHRM) raised £10 million. Today it has warned that unless it raises more cash urgently it will go tits up. I reckon tits up day is in mid-August.
Ed Croft of Stockopedia is the latest big name to sign up to speak at the UK's leading one day investor show, UK Investor. Ed will be doing a main stage presentation with a top chartist on fundamentals versus technicals, looking at the wider debate plus analysing key stock picks of Nigel Wray and Mark Slater plus some audience suggestions. Ed will also be doing a solo lunchtime session in a 250 seater breakout room. Remember the 50% off early bird ticket offer ends at Midnight on Monday 30th June. Do you remember Ed's star turn from 2014?
A couple of years ago I was on stage with Evil Knievil and I ended up pointing out to him numerous times that he doesn’t get “internet companies.” I recall he was happy to admit it.
We can reveal exclusively that infamous bear raider Evil Knievil has opened a material short in Plus500 Ltd (PLUS), the AIM listed financial services company.
If you are a good Chinese company you list in Hong Kong or Shanghai because it is easier to raise money, here is liquidity in your shares and ratings are higher. If you are a piece of Junk (geddit?) you list on the AIM Cesspit. Time and again it is the same old story. Today’s catastrophe is Bodisen Biotech (BODI) – which Chinese POS will be next?
I am afraid that the two free tickets for the AIM Cesspit dinner offered thirty minutes ago have both been snapped up. But you can still buy tickets for the dinner on June 30th in Clerkenwell for just £40. The evening includes a three course meal, half a litre of wine per person and talks by Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers and a few words from me. We will also be handing out the nine AIM Cesspit Trophies.
The global conspiracy theorists are at it again. Clearly Quindell (QPP) shares are falling only because of the concerted and organised attack involving myself, Gotham City, Evil Knievil and no doubt Mossad and numerous others. Nothing whatsoever to do with the numerous red flag, the industrial deafness numbers that don’t stack up, the UKLA rejection, etc., etc. The Bulletin Board Moron of the week, IfonlyIknew on the LSE Quindell thread serves up a classic.
Post the report from Gotham City on Quindell (QPP) the colourful insurance come technology come country club company made great play of how it had issued a number of lawyer’s letters to those involved in what it saw as a “co-ordinated attack”. One recipient of such a letter was bear raider Evil Knievil.
In this week’s financial video postcard Tom Winnifrith deals with how Quindell (QPP) handles the press and analysts. It is quite amazing.
Bear raider Evil Knievil says that his mind is too occupied with real investing to bother with shares today. He is, as a member of the working classes, sweating away with his nose pressed to the grindstone figuring out the form for the Ascot Meeting. Oh how the poor man toils.
On 30th June from 6 PM, Real Man in Clerkenwell will be hosting the second annual AIM Cesspit awards. Voting has been frenzied but it is not too late for you to cast your vote HERE. The trophies will be handed out to the scumbags of the Cesspit (or to anyone attending who is vaguely connected with them). And there will be talks by Evil Knievil and Lucian Miers.
At last it’s here! Next Thursday, the World cup begins, as Brazil take on Croatia. I cannot wait for this tournament and expect it to be a classic. There is so much pessimism surrounding this year’s competition (the strikes, the extremely poor preparations, corruption etc.) that expectations are extremely low. The contrast between this and the pre-tournament excitement before Africa 2010 is immense. Consider then what a dire World Cup that one proved to be. Even a moderately good set of games this time around will surpass expectations. Unfortunately for England I don’t rate our chances at all.
Legendary bear raider Evil Knievil reckons that for an outlay (or has he describes it "an investment") of £15,000 he is set to trouser a £200,000 on the Epsom Derby at 4PM on June 7th.
Now is your chance to heap opprobrium of those AIM CEOs and Companies that have made your poorer over the past year. On Monday 30 June we will be handing out nine trophies in the 2014 AIM Cesspit awards. All those who have made the Aim Casino the crony capitalist den of iniquity that it is will be honoured.
On Monday 30 June we will be handing out nine trophies in the 2014 AIM Cesspit awards. All those who have made the Aim Casino the crony capitalist den of iniquity that it is will be honoured.
It is time to highlight and celebrate the very worst of AIM with second annual AIM Cesspit awards sponsored by Shareprophets.com. At an awards ceremony and dinner in Clerkenwell on June 30th (Monday), real trophies will be presented to those who have helped make AIM the Cesspit it is and we will be entertained by guest speakers Lucian Miers and Evil Knievil with The Sheriff of AIm compering the event. There are seven awards.
There is little doubt that the two most bombastic men in the City are Avanti Communications (AVN) CEO David Williams and bear raider Evil Knievil. The battle continues as we can reveal exclusively.
So many to choose from and so little time to think – who am I nominating for these prestigious awards? Ultimately it is down to you, the investing public to vote on who wins, but for what it is worth my nominations have been:
Following the mammoth success of UK Investor Show 2014 we are moving into overdrive for the 2015 show on April 18 and one new feature will be a series of 14 one hour masterclasses with an audience limited to 80 – we are taking on an additional floor in Westminster.
I can reveal that legendary bear raider Evil Knievil has reinvested a material portion of his horse racing winnings on the week (£135,000 to date) in shares in AIM listed Oxus Gold (OXS) at 2.2p.
The account can be opened almost instantaneously. And the dosh could be there for you to trade with by tomorrow. It is simple to get this started.
Bear raider Evil Knievil has revealed to me that his biggest short position is now Mothercare (MTC). Evil opened his position at north of 170p ten days ago and the shares are now 157.25p, off another 2.5p today. Knievil warns that a big collapse is on the way.
Shares in the AIM company which grandiosely describes itself as reinventing how businesses do commerce, blur Group plc (BLUR), slumped another 44% yesterday to 155p as it served up a second disappointing trading statement within a month. Time to change the name, while continuing the pop theme, from blur to 'The Damned'?
Direct from the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre a video featuring a UK Investor Show 2014 presentation by Andrew Bell of Red Rock Resources (RRR)
Bear raider Evil Knievil remains short of Quindell Portfolio (QPP) albeit with a greatly reduced position. However, whilst insisting that he does not trust the company, he has admitted to shareprophets.com that the interims out today “look good.”
This has been well spun by Cupid (CUP) but yesterday’s trading statement was a disastrous profits warning.
They do not like it up ‘em. Shares in some of the darlings of the AIM market have taken a bit of a hit of late and some folks, the believers, believe that this is the result of a great conspiracy involving myself, Evil Knievil, Lucian Miers, Zak Mir, Red Evans and others. How about a quick look at the facts.
With its shares having tanked from 14p a few weeks ago to just over 7.41p with most of the falls following annual results on Tuesday, Quindell Portfolio (QPP) – hitherto a darling of the AIM Cesspit – has put out a statement late last night.
Bear raider Evil Knievil and I chatted tonight and he is in celebratory mood following the post results meltdown in the share price of AIM Cesspit listed Quindell Portfolio (QPP).
Infamous Bear raider Evil Knievil may be licking his wounds having lost more than a quarter of a million pounds on shorting ASOS (ASC) as we revealed here but the old boy is not deterred and has opened a major new short, we can exclusively reveal.
Clem Chambers, Zak Mir, Evil Knievil, and John Piper in discussion with Tom Winnifrith at the UK Investor Show
It was a strange Traders’ Session at the UK Investor Show, and not only because I was seated next to Evil Knievil on stage. Apart from a gravitational attraction – the great bear is approximately twice my weight, I was rather pulled into the idea of online retailer ASOS (ASC) being a possible sell.
Shares in AIM listed satellite operator Avanti Communications (AVN) have slumped today by 62.75p to 286p after results for the year to June 30th 2012 were announced and were received poorly. Adding to Avanti’s misery bear raider Evil Knievil announced that he had gone short at 295p. He is wrong and this is a buying opportunity. I say this as someone who tipped the shares first at 116p in August 2004 and who has continually rated them as a buy at anything up to an all time high of almost £8. I still believe that the shares will in due course move sharply higher and my target price is £16.81. Here is why.
