Hello, Share Crunchers. Recently I re-suggested you might look at Blackbird plc (BIRD). It’s an AIM company that provides editing and other useful services in the cloud to broadcasters. Well, its interim results are just out. And they scared the City a bit as the share price fell about 11%. The drop, given the future potential of this techie outfit, I find rather surprising and might offer a good entry point.
Hello, Share Thrashers. A company I’ve commended to you previously has reached another milestone. Blackbird plc (BIRD) is a British outfit successfully working a big change in the way television reaches our homes. It’s just been confirmed that the company now serves 75 TV stations in the USA, spanning 35 states. This is because another company called Town News has just strengthened its existing partnership with Blackbird to serve more broadcasters.
Hello, Share Smashers. As the Footsie wobbles on fears of inflation and more Covid cases, perhaps we ought to look to shares that should benefit from any new lockdowns. One of my babies which sings to me is Blackbird (BIRD). This is a cloud-based system for editing and distributing TV programmes.
Hello, Share Movers. Major stories like Covid and Brexit have made keeping up with the news more important, compelling and attractive. Therefore many online and TV news companies have been thriving. One such outfit is the oddly-named Cheddar News. Its mostly an online operation that can be found on all traditional platforms, like YouTube. It’s owned and operated by America’s Altice News group, which is big.
Hello, Share Fans. Recently, I suggested you look at Blackbird (BIRD) despite the fact that it's a cloud company, which puts some people off. The nice thing about Blackbird though is that it has some very strong orders flying in. And once it’s signed up a big name, it’s rather hard for the client to pull out in future years. Not unless it takes the expensive step of setting up a new system.
Hello, Share Stashers. My instinct is to avoid companies with ‘cloud’ in the description. However, there’s one AIM-listed cloud firm which I’m jolly glad I bought into. It’s called Blackbird (BIRD) and it provides a lightning fast editing service for television news companies. The share has more than doubled in the last few weeks as the orders keep coming in.
