Do not give a cent to the Calais Jungle Charities - Malcolm Stacey is wrong (again)

Today my friend Malcolm has stated that he is giving £1,000 to three Charities helping folks in the Calais Jungle as they wait to (illegally) enter Britain. He urges you to donate and you can read his article HERE. But I urge Malcolm to cancel his cheque and for no-one to give a cent to the Charities because what Malcolm says is just plain wrong. Malcolm means well but is naive and poorly researched.

So You're Making Money on a Near-Record Footsie - Well, Show a Bit of Heart for Starving Refugees.

Hello share swappers. There are a lot of stories of horrible selfish people on this website. Let us, as readers, show that we are more enlightened than they are. Britain is one of the very richest countries in the world. Early signs are that Brexit will make us even richer, as companies queue up to strike new trade deals.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Cloudtag shareholders please note that "gay" is not a term of abuse

I start with an update on the baby, the frigging cot and that smug bitch on the internet. Then it is onto Optibiotix (OPTI), Minoan (MIN), Nighthawk (HAWK), Strat Aero, (AERO), Botswana Diamonds (BOD), a grammar lesson for the City's top oil analyst and finally a new golden rule for shares: the inverse relationship between the number of homophobic lunatics on a shareholder list and the long term prospects of a company. I refer of course to, drowning in red flags, Cloudtag (CTAG)

Tesco three charged with Fraud by SFO - This gives a timescale for Rob Terry

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has today charged three individuals, Carl Rogberg, 49, Christopher Bush, 50, and John Scouler, 48, with one count of Fraud by Abuse of Position, contrary to section 1 and 4 of the Fraud Act 2006 and one count of False Accounting contrary to s17 Theft Act 1968. These are the first charges brought against folks at Tesco (TSCO) for cooking its books. The timescale is fascinating for those interested in the fate of Rob Terry and the other Quenron fraudsters...

Victoria - The Never Ending Success Story

Excuse the title, but it seems to represent the state of play at Victoria plc (VCP). The company held its AGM this morning and accompanied it with a statement to shareholders to the effect that everything is fine. Not bad for a stock which has been an 8-bagger in just two years!

The Chairman's Blog 11: Sir Benjamin Dover of Global Mining Endeavours puts the record straight on Brexit

Following the example set by Paul Warwick the chairman of worthless penny stock Andalas (ADL) in starting a blog, Sir Benjamin Dover of AIM listed Global Mining Endeavours has decided to follow suit and like Paul promises to be Candid in his approach. Blog number eleven....

Hornby – current trading “in line”, but is that of any real significance? ...

After trading disappointment thus far in 2016, there is now an AGM update from hobby and toy products company Hornby (HRN). Let’s take a look…

Tim Martin of JD Wetherspoon on Brexit - this man is a visionary

In today's statement from JD Wetherspoon (JDW) its boss Tim Martin lets rip on those doomsayers from Project Fear who lied to us ahead of the referendum on Independence Day, June 23rd. that fat self righteous windbag Nicola Horlick - who stuffed her clients into Bernie Madoff funds - the banksters at Goldman Sachs, the smug FTSE 100 bosses, lyin' George Osborne and Dodgy Dave Cameron himself all get it in the neck from the visionary Martin. This statement is poetry. I loathe Martin's plastic pubs but I shall hold my nose and go to one in appreciation of what follows. Over to our hero of the day, Mr Tim Martin:

MTL

Metals Exploration – A golden dawn really due to break

An aborted attempt to take the company private, typhoons, a nightmare fear of political intervention and nervous creditors threatening to pull the plug, there has been little left to the imagination for shareholders, or what’s left of them, to endure at Metals Exploration (MTL).

ShareProphets Translation Service: Daniel Stewart – Rob Terry writes off investment by Quob Park.

Hooray! The ShareProphets Translation Service, refreshed after its nice summer holiday in a swanky London penthouse suite with plenty of coke and hookers, is back. And what better way for it to get back to work than to take a look at the latest blog from fraudster Rob Terry’s Quob Park Estate – which has now admitted that it is going to write down its investment in former AIM Cesspit poster-boy Daniel Stewart Securities plc (DAN). So much for 10p a share, ho ho ho - the crocodile tears are flowing at ShareProphets Towers.

HUR

Hurricane’s Lancaster Well – It’s Turtles All the Way Down

Well maybe not all the way down but at least all the way down to 1646m TVDSS. Hurricane (HUR) has announced the results of its 205/21a-7 well and Robert Trice has to be really delighted with what they have found, not just PR delighted, They have proved mobile oil down to 1646m TVDSS about 240m below structural closure. This is really significant and I reckon using my trusty slide rule that could support an oil in place of about 1.3 billion bbls.

Honkers Bonkers Bank is Worth a Look - for the Perky Divi and Bouncy Share Price

Hello Share Puddlers. The Honkers Bonkers bank (HSBA) has been doing rather well on the old share front of late. Each day seems to bring another 1% or so. This is encouraging news for me as the family has rather a big holding which is at least 40 years old.

Strat Aero - misleads with RNS today compounding a lie of yesteryear

Naughty naughty St Brides PR. We know that it publishes lies on behalf of the fraudsters African Potash (AFPO) both via RNS and when smearing me to moronic shareholders but its efforts on behalf of Strat Aero (AERO) today really are not very impressive. Naughty Susie Geliher who works on both accounts it really is time you had your bottom spanked.

JNY

Journey Group – what do half year results suggest about recommended takeover offer? …

I wrote on provider of in-flight products and catering services to the airline industry, Journey Group (JNY) last month on a recommended 240p per share takeover offer - see HERE. I now update post publication of the company’s results for the first half of 2016…

ARGO

$5 million profit in six months, $24 million NAV, £6 million market cap. Can Argo be trusted?

This morning saw me reflecting on what may turn out to have been a lost opportunity with Argo (ARGO), an apparent value opportunity which I turned down some months ago. The shares up 25% today after the publication of interim results!

AIM SHOCKER: Galasys - AIM’s day of sickening shame as Chairman points the finger

In a quite astonishing statement released yesterday, the non-exec Chairman of AIM death-row inhabitant Galasys (GLS), Mr Kim Seng Teh, has given his account of an unbelievable systemic failure on the AIM Casino to control the behaviour of the board of a member of the world’s most successful growth market. WH Ireland, as the Nomad responsible for this train-wreck until a few days ago, has a number of serious questions to answer, as does AIM Regulation – which, I hope, will be asking a good few questions of its own. I wouldn’t like to second-guess who is the villain in the boardroom and who is the innocent party, but I am sure of one thing: heads must roll in the oversight department.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The Cloudtag boss and swapping stolen documents for cash in a Motorway Service Station

I start with the cot which is still driving me mad. Meanwhile it looks like the Mrs is going to term and is coming home tonight so I must cover up evidence of two days of bachelor life, that is to say myself & Oakley not being that tidy. In company matters I comment on Strat Aero (AERO) but will do a longer piece later, on Wishbone Gold (WSBN), on Tower Resources (TRP) and on Cloudtag (CTAG). The mad nutters who ramp this on twitter are now accusing poor Lucian Miers of being part of a paedophile ring (he is not) for daring to suggest that this over-ramped POS is not a buy. I am reminded of when I first came across the man behind this worthless company.

Monitise – FY results, claims “positive” client response, but then admits contracts taking longer to conclude than anticipated! …

Monitise (MONI) has announced results for its year ended 30th June 2016 emphasising “substantial improvement” in second half operating figures and “FINKit®, our new business unit which enables banks and financial services organisations to transform their digital services, launched during the year generating initial revenues in the second half of FY 2016, and received a positive response from current and potential clients and partners”. Sounds good…

OBT

Obtala - this is non dilutive funding to grow, good news

Rather than issue shares like confetti as most AIM Companies do and, indeed, as under its former management Obtala (OBT) used to do, this company is raising capital to expand in a non dilutive way.
