Amigo – pass the sick bucket
It has already been established that I am not a do-gooder when I invest. My personal lifestyle is really quite boring but buying tobacco, alcoholic beverage, defence or gambling stocks - among other demerit areas - is really not an issue for me at all. Frankly, I would rather be this way around than some charlatan who sticks out the well-worn 'do as I say not as I do' line. However there are listed companies out there that I just take an immediate dislike to...and this brings me to Amigo Holdings (AMGO)...

Thomas Cook – still a sell?
Having sat on the fence for a while now, I have, somewhat belatedly, come off it and shorted a few Thomas Cook (TCG) at 13p. Last time I did this was in November 2011 when it was in a similar predicament but was bailed out by direct intervention from David Cameron, who effectively ordered the recently nationalised bankers not to pull the plug. Sadly, for shareholders this time round, I suspect that Theresa May has more on her plate right now than bailing out the company a second time...

You Might Need to Be in the Saddle in Case the Black Horse Eventually Gallops Home
Hello, Share Hitters. Shares in Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY) have been pounded of late. This often happens to our big banks after improving results cause a share jump, though are soon forgotten. The shares are also down on Brexit fears and a falling pound. But they are beginning to look cheap to some. And it’s a hard thing to sell shares which pay a dividend of over 5%...

Reading 'At home with Superdry’s Julian Dunkerton and Jade Holland Cooper' (so you don't have to)
I wrote an article back in March bout the importance of the pareto principle in business and that 'i trust the views and instincts of founders/co-founders inherently much more than chairman with historic general experience but massively less skin in the game'. Since that article - which was primarily centred on boohoo (BOO) shares in the online fashion company have done rather well, showing that the co-founder's focus and elbows out manner has been very helpful for shareholders. But what about the other company mentioned in that article, Superdry (SDRY)?

Bank Holiday Special: Tom's' 24 most-listened-to Bearcasts so far this year
These are the 24 most-listened-to Bearcasts by Tom so far this year. By my reckoning, if you queue them all up, you'll have eight hours of Tom's dulcet tones to play for the family.

Centrica – what about a Labour government? No chance!
Maybe I’m just a blinkered old fool, but I just cannot believe that Jeremy Corbyn will get his feet into Number 10. As such, the biggest part (for me) of the case to sell Centrica (CNA) falls apart in my view. Here is why.

Red Rock Resources – Jupiter Mines update – this share is just unbelievably cheap
I know that a lot of folks do not like Red Rock Resources (RRR) boss Andrew Bell and so disregard all fundamentals for his company. Perhaps why these shares are just so stunningly cheap as news from Jupiter Mines makes clear. I do like Bell and do not hide the fact that he is my friend but I would not buy shares in his company just on that basis.

Centrica - a takeover? Sure 'don't rule it out' but more important don't bank on it
Centrica (CNA) has been a head in hands investment for the last couple of years...but I do hope that Gary is correct with his assertion the other week about the medium-term recovery potential given i am a (modest) holder.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The placed Neil Woodford "scoop" in the Sunday Times - read through the spin, it could be endgame by July 1
Firstly a few words on Woodlarks. Your generosity has secured its funding for another year. So thanks to all who supported the rogue bloggers. Photos of myself and other old codgers crossing the line are HERE. If you have yet to donate we need just £690 more to hit £50,000 so please donate HERE. Then it is onto Woodford and taking out the spin of the stories in today's Sunday Times it looks really grim and I explain why it could be end game by early July and also why I think we loyal Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) shareholders were misled at the recent AGM.

Wishbone Trading statement – a bad tip, apologies but a buy at 0.05p
Last week, Wishbone Gold (LSE:WSBN) served up a trading statement that saw its shares tumble to 0.04p-0.05p. As a shareholder I share your pain and apologise for what has been a bad tip. I have drunk my own medicine averaging down so do feel that pain big time. I can understand how some folks are angry. Over at ShareProphets someone posted this comment:

In defence of vocal cynicism
Last week, Roger Lawson posted a blog about the AGM of Accesso Technology (ACSO). Within this, he levelled a very thinly veiled criticism of Tom Winnifrith, blaming him for the share’s collapse, implying that his actions were wrong and he should be subject to new regulation. As you might expect if you have any knowledge of these two smart and principled men, this resulted in a mutual online flaming session between Tom and Roger.

Photo Article: The veteran rogue bloggers complete the walk to Woodlarks
From the Farnham golf club two and a half miles out the young folks (plus Jonathan Price, minus Steve Moore) were sent ahead to finish as promised at 8.30. Andrew Bell's knee collapsed and he had to complete the walk by taxi and the old men slogged on.
