I repeatedly warned folks about One True View and Appbox Media, two scams run by Mr Polat Hassan from a City boiler room which have snaffled c£30 million of investor cash. I alerted the FCA but, as you might expect, the floor shitters did nothing. So what news from One True View since it announced a £13 a share, £186 million, takeover back in late 2019.

Yesterday, Manolete (MANO) announced that, with the shares at multi-year lows and with the company almost certainly on the runway to a placing, founder and CEO Steve Cooklin had dumped 750,000 shares the prior day. However, it stressed in the RNS:

An update on the first half of its year ending 30^th June 2021 from Goldplat (GDP) includes that its South African gold recovery operation produced a reduced £2.2 million operating profit compared to a prior year comparative £2.7 million but its Ghana operation reported a £0.84 million operating profit against a prior year period £0.2 million…

Today’s numbers from the paper and packaging name Smurfit Kappa (SKG) were damn impressive in my opinion.  Certainly it is no disaster to say that ‘prices rose rapidly in H2…and continue to see prices increasing in early 2021’. And when you look a bit more deeply, you realise that the rise of e-commerce remains a great growth area as firms such as Amazon are driving a lot more demand.  Smurfit Kappa’s CFO observed that such demand is ‘here to stay’ and even Brexit was not that much of a concern given that the company produces locally rather than relying on significant exports between Ireland/Europe and the UK.

The company which fixes leaks in a very scientific, yet simple to operate, way has not been hit by Covid, including it being classed as an “essential service provider”…

Sports, leisure and mobility equipment group Tandem (TND) has made a trading update including that “unaudited group revenue for the full year was approximately £37.1 million” and “revenue to the end of January 2021 was approximately 75% ahead of the same period last year”. So what of a now 545p share price, £27.5 million market cap, it is up to?…

Zoetic International (ZOE) has yet to respond to my bombshell dossier of six days ago which showed clearly it lying to investors, regulators and its  – very few – customers. The silence is deafening.  There are two possible explanations.

Tin is not sexy or precious like Gold or Silver and one can argue its rather boring – not mainstream investment folder. I noted a few weeks ago that ShareProphets’ favourite technical analyst,  Jordan Roy-Byre of TheDailyGold.com, has called the end of the Gold correction which started last August.
